Bearing in mind we can not build anything even near like Isla right now (what with all the fance climbing, jumping, walking, even if we leave AI programming alone...), we need to go full SciFi on this.

Most scifi writers use cop outs, like superbatteries, portable nuclear power, zero point modules and shit like that.

But if you think about it logically, there's another method: internal fermentation of biomatter to create alcohol, methane and the like. Sure, burning those is NOT very effective, as it only gets about 2-5% of the total energy potential, but if you imagine some form of cathalythic processing on top... then creating a humanoid robot that can actually eat and make some use of the food begins sounding plausible. Of course, if you assume this, it'd be logical that when not in plain view, Isla would prefer to down some gas and wash it down with vodka for a quick refuelling, or would be used to clean out any leftovers and spoilt stuff, as it'd make no functional difference (only esthetic one). Still, having an android eat would still be viable.
