It's pretty good, especially for fighting shonen. Very fast paced, lots of character interaction and development, cool action, deep foreshadowing and detail, nice designs, expressive art, interesting story. There really hasn't been any great ones in a while. Magi had promise but hasn't been too good recently. Hero is turning out good, but it needs to maintain quality for another year or two until it can be properly judged. OPM is good, but that's a completely different style of series.

Well they had to shoehorn Howzer into some more scenes since he wasn't half-dead as he should've been at the time in the anime.

That Exploding-Thunder-Nado still didn't look as stylish though as the first tornado combo, though. Must've been those sweet mid-air curves and the nicer animation as the explosions traveled upwards.

The current fight was cool though. Don't get me wrong, I like Magi a lot, but week-to-week it hasn't been very exciting recently. On the other hand, Sins has hyped me up almost every chapter for over a year now.

I dunno. I agree that the flashback was important from a storytelling perspective, but it just didn't get me excited weekly, with the exception of a few of the final chapters. I guess it felt both rushed and slow. It felt like each chapter could have been told in half the pages, but also that not much actually happened in each chapter individually. As a whole, it was fine, but again, as a weekly read, I found it good but somewhat lacking. I'm excited to see how it all ties into the next arc now that the fight is done.

Tying it back to NnT, I think Nakaba is doing a great job at writing a condense and interesting story that really only involves around 20 central characters. Especially in this arc, where each of the characters have clearly evolved due to their experiences in the last arc. Almost every character has a new motivation, goal, or other form of development, including all of the "side characters". In most series, characters besides the main cast get shoved aside when transitioning arcs, but here each of them still feel relevant to the story, even if they don't seem as relevant strength-wise to the current threat.

I like both, but the manga is a thousand times better. It's my favorite current manga by far and has the best drawn fight scenes along with UQ Holder.
