The most infuriating commie translation for me was when they shortened the word "conversation" to "convo." I mean WTF. Does anyone actually say that in real life? I agree, everything about the first episode screams AOTS for me. I watched the ep0 of Nisekoi S2 directly after this and it just reminded of the fact that Oregairu is how a harem show SHOULD be done. It is exceptional at doing what it does. A breath of fresh air.

Nisekoi is like the direct opposite. It appeals to the lowest common denominator, and uses every cheap trick in the fucking book.It is an example of how a harem should NOT be done....because its BEEN done....a million times already.

I was mocking you, and then pointing out that it's a bit odd to me how much it happens.
But I actually like seeing it, so long as it's not done mindlessly. For example I hate "IDK" and I have negative associations with "WTF". But otherwise it's new and exciting linguistic experiences.
