I don't care if it's pandering fluff, I'm going to watch the hell out of this.
But it's just going to wind up the same way.
Literally, he is closer to Nagato
It's been a while since I read the LN and I didn't watch the movie, can someone remind me what the situation is with the characters in this show?
What I remember:
>Haruhi and that gay guy are at a different school and are total bitches to everyone
>Ryoko isn't an alien, but is still unhinged and not to be trusted with a knife
>Mikuru doesn't associate with the main cast at all
>Yuki is pure, concentrated autism
>Kyon is exactly the same person
Is this an accurate summary of the setting?
Think of that universe but without time traveling, espers, aliens, etc. The Kyon that helped Haruhi with her message in Tanabata was actually a kid Kyon, and not John Smith.
Yuki also is also different from both her main series version and the disappearance version: her personality is much alike her disappearance version but she's not as much of a bookworm (she still likes books, though, just likes video-games a little more).
