This. The last episode was perfect. I wasn't even mad about the faggot priest surviving. The show did a good job portraying the shiki as both sympathetic and antagonistic. Both sides winning and losing at the same time was really the best way to end it.

The only shiki I thought was really evil was Tatsumi. He was the one keeping the others in line, otherwise many of them would have killed themselves or tried to find a peaceful solution. People like Tooru and Kanami's mother could have survived without ever biting anyone. Tatsumi didn't even need to drink blood to survive, he just needed it to power up. If the shiki had been treated as a medical condition instead of as monsters things would have been very different. The person who really did wrong was Ozaki for not delivering that recording of his examination of his wife to the authorities. He would have had to not brutally murder her on camera for that to work, but still.
