I can imagine all sorts of worst Koreans going apeshit if Kadokawa decides to include a quest or a mission involving them.
Then again, with this logic in mind they should remove China and other South-East Asian countries as well.

The game is in development phase so I'm not sure if this will be final or not but considering how they subtly include their nationalistic "things" into the game, I'm afraid they will keep it as it is.

You put the BB as your flagship for many reasons.

1. They cost more to repair and take significantly longer. Putting them as flagship protects them.
2. They are your hardest hitting ships so you want them to take as little damage as possible to retain full damage potential.

You don't put BB as your flagship for many reasons.

1. They're the sturdiest ships in your fleet. If there's a CA or CL I have to bring you're damn sure I'm not going to waste the slot with the most protection on a ship that probably won't need it.
2. Your glass cannon ace in the holes (CLTs, night CLs and DDs with cut-in) need all the luck they can get to get that cut-in of maximum overcrit. Your BBs, whose double attacks have a high chance of triggering anyway and whom are sturdier anyway, can come later.
3. Battleships are the first to attack in the shelling round anyway and the first to try to "knock out the toughest enemy in a single hit" and avoid a lot of potential damage. By the time the second round comes around you've already failed to stop that potential damage. Better to protect the ships more likely to get crit to red.

CLT's can get their hit off preemptively with that one torpedo, then after shelling in the torpedo phase order doesn't matter. The only benefit they have for flagship is the slightly increased chances. And taking a BB along in a night battle focused fleet isn't the smartest of ideas. While it will benefit you if the enemy fleet has a battleship, there are many nodes where there is none.

While it's true range order BB's are typically the first to fire, there's no way to guarantee they will hit the target you want. If you have them as flagship they will get the first shot both times.

So now that the wave of S2 despair has somewhat settled, I haven't been able to figure out what exactly was the cause of the shit production of the anime, purely out of curiosity.

The over-aching plot line was incoherent at times and uninteresting half way through, questionable decision on the TTK, the mood portrayed in the writing just went up-and-down, there were some artistic breakdown in Episode 12.

Was this all due to the lack of budget, which would've been shit with any studio (or no one else raised their hand)?
Was it bad project management within Diomedea, causing scheduling fuck-ups?
Was it due to the chosen staff being generally terrible and didn't really give a rat's ass?
Or was the production committee being a bitch client?

Because the stronger enemies are typically higher up the line. You want the BB to fire before they can fire, or it's meaningless. If the BB targets something else in range, the enemy gets to fire. Then line comes up, the BB has a second shot at killing it before it fires a second time.

As for the risk, there's always risk when RNG is involved.. My way of stacking the odds in my favor is eliminating as many enemies as possible before they get a chance to fire. That's not always possible, and the BB, the backbone of my entire plan, needs to be able to carry its weight. If it ever falls below green or fails to fire first, it's not carrying its weight.

She's like one of those people that are irritable; can't really blame them because they're not doing wrong, but still annoying nonetheless. Always being a debbie downer, not being able to speak properly (Ano... ano... ano......... ano....), her voice can be grating especially her damaged yell.

I can only slightly tolerate her because of Kai Ni's character becoming more brave. But holy shit it pains me when I have to sortie her and mute the game so I don't have to hear her ear-bleeding scream when she gets moderate damage.

Here's a couple thoughts I've been kicking around for a while.

The fact that MC is kind of a plain girl who ganbarimasus and can do it if she tries (eventually overcoming everything) is not an issue in most series. Yuuki Yuuna does and it was a fucking smash hit. In fact I personally love that kind of character and I'm guessing that that's the story that Tanaka wanted. There are a couple problems with the way it went down in Kancolle, though.

1. This is not an original work and in fact most people watching the series HAVE experienced the source. It's not like a manga or light novel adaptation where the vast majority of people don't know the characters.
2. Fubuki is extremely boring even for a good-girl MC. Most of them at least have the super-genki thing going for them. That's fine, the boring MC who's not even genki has it's own charm... except the plot does a really bad job of making her likable. She doesn't struggle much - the anime tries to create the illusion that she does, but all her problems are resolved in one episode. The plot feels like it's conspiring to make her relevant (even before it's revealed that the plot literally conspired to make her relevant) and nobody likes a character who gets handed everything on a silver platter. The fact that people were hoping for more screentime of their favorite characters just adds insult to injury.

3. The overall arc of the plot is just fucking nonsensical. If the main character is going to save they day then they'd either

- BE something exceptional (Naruto and Bleach are not pinnacles of storytelling but at least they understand this much,) or they need to
- DO something exceptional (Mulan pulls off a trick of circumstantial genius against the Huns and Frodo basically faceplants his way through 10,000 miles of bad road to get the ring in the fire. No, I don't know why these two came to mind first.)

Fubuki, having neither, is left feeling like a designated protagonist, which she literally was (and might not have been so bad if the people watching this series didn't already have a girl they were hoping to see more of, but...)

The easiest way to make us sympathize with a character is to make them suffer and it is really kind of cheap but it also gives characters a chance to show their steel. Fubuki didn't get that chance because she does nothing but win. Sure, Kaga kicks her ass real good in Episode 8 or whatever but that's like five whole minutes of suffering. In practice. And she receives like a hundred gold stars for it afterwards.

Even a fucking goofball like Naka we can take seriously when she puts on a grim face like picture related but Fubuki never even puts on a face of grim determination. We don't get a "I've got to be stronger, for the sake of the fleet" kind of thing. She just... wants to be stronger. Because. Akagi? I don't need a real good plot reason for someone to admire a senpai but when it becomes a character's motivation for, like, everything, it really needs to be done better than that.

The root of the problem is that I feel like the director projected his own tastes onto the entirety of the Kancolle fanbase, so that they would be willing to overlook minor (not really minor) issues with pacing and execution to try and appreciate the story he was going to tell. It's a very charming idea on the face of it - "an ordinary girl manages to achieve a miracle."

Unfortunately, the execution was absolutely insufficient to pull this off. One-cour anime already have a fucking hell of a time trying to get you to care about the characters and pace things appropriately and very often watchers are actually willing to ignore pacing problems because they know that the writers are operating under a 12-episode constraint, but the way that they tried to do it in Kancolle was ludicrously hamfisted. Kisaragi is introduced and dies in a SINGLE episode. Fubuki is up to speed in just two episodes because she tries hard - that's very well and all, but shouldn't everybody be trying hard? There is a war on, you know. I generally like this kind of idea so I went out of my way to try and like the anime, but I just couldn't do it.

The thematic clusterfuck doesn't help. Is this a war drama? Or is it a comedy that just happens to take place with the battlefield as a backdrop? Should it be grim, sentimental, or just rollicking comedy? A 12-episode anime struggles valiantly to accommodate even a single vision. Tanaka might have made it out okay if the writing were better and the anime felt like a coherent whole, but the overall quality sucked.
