I feel like he's talking directly for the author losing passion in dredging through the story just to give Guts some sort of comeback or Griffith comeuppance.
I guess I can sort of feel how things have wained, but that's only because Miura didn't strike when the iron was still hot. I understand he had to world build and introduce certain characters and concepts but now it's sort of worked against the pacing.

that's one of the reasons I started working out I just stopped with the routine once I stopped being fat and actually got in decent shape. As for sword swinging I use to swing around the bench press bar it was a pretty good exercise but I used more as supplementary to the rest of the routine

Also, regarding Casca, I think she will get healed; they're getting awfully close to Puck's hometown where she can be healed. I really hope that she is healed, is still in love with Griffith, and that Guts is OK with it. He's implied before that he's emotionally prepared to accept it if Casca does not love him back even after going to such great lengths to give her her sanity back.

Writing is the longest part of the process according to Miura's interviews. The actual drawing of a chapter takes 2-4 weeks.

I don't actually begrudge Miura for taking a long as time writing. I've seen the amount rewrite a professional script goes through (it's absurd), and Miura's a perfectionist on top of that. Add on top of that, were at a SUPER critical juncture, so every decision has to made with absolute certainty. Miura hates the idea of possibly limiting the future direction of the story. (Hence pulling the IoE chapter even though he mostly confirmed it later on). So he needs to certain that whatever happens he's happy with the possible conclusion it leaves him.

Sure, Miura's got a rough plan for how it all plays out, but I'll bet it's the details of that plan that keep him up at night.

All of this still doesn't excuse the hiatuses. It's long past I can defend them wholeheartedly.
