So basically, the Epigraph Trilogy will be condensed into one of the game's routes. And may be the focus of the anime adaptation, but it's all up in the air right now.

Yes Chaos Child bombed so hard on XBOne that it's being released on every Playstation platform available all at once. It's apparently out June 25th. I could have imported the XBOne version (I have the XBOne demo still sitting in my console), but I also just waited it out for the Playstation version. Chaos;Child is freaking awesome, but there are just too much things that bothered me and could bother you.
For example, the biggest concern is, though it could be considered stand alone, it doesn't really try to be one. The game feels too related to the other installments, even more so than Robotics;Notes.
My second biggest concern is, the delusions in this one are absolutely pointless to the point of seeming to be out of place. And they aren't particularly interesting either.

When it's subtle, like in Steins;Gate related to Chaos;Head, I consider it to be positive too. But in C;C case it's too direct, in my opinion.
I see stand-alone...ness as one of a selling points of Science SDV. I always liked how cool it is: the same world, same organizations, same rules, but people involved are always different, and the events aren't really interconnecting. You can safely read one installment and not even guess that there was another one.
It gives you that kind of realistic sense, as if there actually is a huge world, similar to ours. It makes the setting more complete.And finding those subtle references and interesting things, like Visual Rebuilding Technology schemes and everything, those kind of things feel way more rewarding and personal if the connection between installments is not direct.
Like, you know, "Oh, there's a subtle reference! I got it! I wonder if anyone else got it? Since it's so not obvious, and you really need to be familiar with other games to get it...".
This versus blatant "There was a huge ass fuck earthquake several years ago..." and you already thinking that it was supposed to be in some previous game, and you only need to read a synopsis or a plot summary to get this one, etc.

I played it back in 09 and this is my veredict.

The first half is a thriller masterpiece. you do not know who is the "murderer" and start supecting everyone, the presentation and atmosphere are amazing.
