despite its shitiness i wanted to see more of this grill
what a waste
it makes me sad. It was my favorite anime this season.
the finally will make you even sadder
Why couldn't Decim and Onna be happy together ?
It's popular in a weak season, that makes it the one of the top targets for shit posters. And going by the comments on previous threads there's a lot of people here missing the point and getting mad when their own judgements don't match the arbiters. There's also a couple of anons disappointed because they expected it to be episodic till the end or because the show isn't exactly what they expected it to be, which is a pretty silly complaint
It was all right but it felt a little underwhelming towards the end tbh
This. I was hoping some characters would get more exposition. I just couldn't feel a thing when the Gyaru (Am I using that term right?) girl and the boy band guy went to the void together.
Although I haven't seen the last episode yet.
Idk I was hoping for some closure with Chiyuki at least. The show was good, only the last episode really ruined it for me and I don't really care to watch the conclusion.
I hated that plot point because it was totally unexplained and ridiculous.
>It's not like Akagi/Sportsanime level of detail on the games
>Akagi level of detail on the games.
You mean that one game of mahjong that's been going on for 20 real world years?
Yeah, that's a good level of detail.
I feel like they could've spared us an episode of the predictable melodrama of the games (particularly the stupidly edgy murderer 2 parter) and had another episode explain the MUCH more interesting setting
For the first time I probably wanted a more tragic ending than this like both Decim and Chiyuki getting voided or something
This felt, underwhelming as fuck
Man, what is even the overarching plot of the series? Now that I think of it, that's the show's greatest weakness, there is no plot. It's a series of loosely connected stories.
>Man, what is even the overarching plot of the series?
Decim getting to know and judging Chiyuki, while Chiyuki getting to know Decim and his judging methods.
Also Nona wanting to create a new arbiters with human emotions (Decim and Ginti).
I'm just happy I'm not watching anything this year on the 1st of april.
Last year HS thought it was hilarious to upload the latest HxH animu episode with with mirrored subitles
(which was a pretty fucking important pisode in the series). Oh boy, the shitstorm that followed it wasn't pretty at all! Thankfully they reuploaded it the way they were supposed to, but still, that was a huge mindfuck.
I'm curious to see which show's fanbase they'll buttfuck this year.
WHATTTTT NIGGERS CHIYUKI GOT VOIDED AS A CHEAP WHORE?
FUCK THIS GAY EARTH
i actually got into this anime after someone posted about the "happy" episode with the lovers both getting the white mask.
i guess the biggest 'problem' with the show is that it goes all over the place and it's difficult to fully flesh everything out. It's still a fun show.
That ending was pretty weak. This anime would have been better if it was just episodic games with Air Hockey as the finale.
>Chiyuki in the elevator
>Decim smiles at her as the doors close
I knew it.
WE ALL KNEW IT
I made an audible gasp at this point.
>This anime would have been better if it was just episodic games
Sometimes the shit taste of people scares me.
I think that's how crusades and world wars starts, there's no arguing with people with a mind so far away from common sense.
That was a pretty shit ending. The scenes with Nona and flower guy in the last few episodes made me expect something more interesting.
> both eyes are visible
> that crying Decim
> that 'trying too hard smile'
> that normal smile
It was kinda anticlimactic since I expected that they'd go to the next level, aka reviving her or actually going to the real world and making it more exciting.
And I was also expecting some nice animation like in episode 1 and ova.
It was good though, it made me squeal when I saw Decim smiling.
It did a really good job for what little time they had, but I also feel like it would've been better off with a second cour. Especially because the world/characters seemed quite fleshed outk but they couldn't fit all this background story into 12 episodes.
So what do you think was the deal with Decim's pupils losing the crosses? Was that him becoming human? Why did they return in the end?
At least he had this.
But WHAT DOES IT MEAN
The ending was overall quite the basic "this may or may not get a second season" ending, so who knows. A season without Chiyuki would be shit, though. And Decim is already "developed" enough.
People are getting too used to trainwreck endings.
It was nice to see everything I wanted to see from DP's ending.
Decim's emotions, Chiyuki's judgment, Decim keeping a Chiyuki dummy in the bar. Nona having screentime.
The show made us want those things and delivered on them.
Mission fucking accomplished.
>loads of people complaining about it being edgy every week
>complain about a happy ending
I watched the Death Billiards thing thinking it was going to be deep psychological stuff like in Akagi.
It was pretty much the same without the games.
I love how Washizu at one point was drawing his starting hand for about a year.
