How has this anime affected the Kancolle franchise as a whole?
We will have more, there's still time to redeem itself next season
Kancolle doesn't take place during WW2.
It made fans appreciate the source material along with the doujins, official 4koma manga, other manga works, and LNs more.
> Shouldn't Airfield be angrier or something?
Like this ?
Fuck off anon.
It had it's moments, episode 4 was pretty good and six 6 was full enjoyable.
The latter, Kancolle takes place in modern time. Historic naval battles keep repeating themselves, though. Probably having to do with the grudges the spirits that turned into abyssals have from the war.
Last night I dumped these two doujins and their translations. I can't be bothered to dump them again, so here's the archive link: https://archive.moe/a/thread/123060255/#123065356
If you just want the doujins themselves I have uploaded those to sadpanda:
Kaga and Co.
Kongou and Co.
For all we know she could be at home sleeping that off.
Nobody knows the relationship of WWII to the anime canon. It's probably an alternate universe, though some works have WWII actually set in the past (the game loosely sets itself up this way).
The light bullying-- I mean, gentle teasing, of Oh! Yodo in that doujin was so cute.
Fuck forgot to send my expeditions.
Also what the fuck are those captcha?
Took me literally 5 minutes to get it.
I want to enjoy abyssal's insides, if you know what I mean
Are you sure? Proofs is a big word to be throwing around...
Imuya has a bloody smartphone. It's in the present.
Some people get those notoriously hard "inkblot" captchas; others don't have to type one at all, even without a pass. (I myself just have to type one-word captchas.)
Try things like using Chrome, and logging into Google. (Yes, I know. But it might work.)
NoScript and such might cause it too, try temporarily disabling them.
The last page is just that but from a different angle and colored, it doesn't meant she doesn't shoot her right after. The whole point of those sets of images is make Shigure look cool.
It makes very little sense, though - if WW2 really did happen in the past, then they should know exactly what happened, not just vague inklings and premonitions. Note also that Yamato said that it's LIKE there's a power making events of the past repeat - she lacks certainty because she's not sure what those events in the past exactly were, I think.
The most likely answer, I think, is that the anime writing staff didn't fully think out how their canon worked.
>then they should know exactly what happened
That's how it is in the game, they don't remember EVERYTHING that happened. It's just that the anime goes further on the memory block.
But that's astoundingly retarded. Did someone burn all the human history books in the world? Is it actually the year 3000, and all knowledge of the modern era has been lost to time? Or have the humans just been hiding it from the shipgirls all this time?
He's clearly trying to make a joke about the Russian PROOFS meme.

True, but the game canon isn't even explicitly set in our post-WW2 world either, so that's besides the point.
Guys, look, we've had this discussion a million times, let's just put it to rest.
Granted, the finale wasn't anything special nor left a notable impression, but I fairly enjoyed it when Taihou showed up with much-needed support to overcome the adversary and performed beyond their expectations for a moment. I couldn't ask for more, I got exactly what I wanted along with Fumikane's new artwork as a bonus. Despite all of its glaring flaws, you can still find some redeeming values by stepping aside the things you may find repulsive from the show.
That being said, I look forward for more theme songs in the sequel. Also I know it's damn late, but should I post some stitches/webms for the heck of it?
>but the game canon isn't even explicitly set in our post-WW2 world either
>Or have the humans just been hiding it from the shipgirls all this time?
No because some remember while some do not. They are girls, they prefer to do other things when they are not risking their lives. Some are too young to even care.
Is there a pastebin or some such to get started with getting into the game/series in general?
>True, but the game canon isn't even explicitly set in our post-WW2 world either, so that's besides the point.
Except all the lines that point it's modern world like the smartphone, late night anime, computer and other things I always forget for situations like this.
The game: read the wiki.
For everything else:
1. Read the in-game lines of characters you're interested in. They're immensely informative.
2. Read the translated manga. They're on Batoto.
>Isn't she like the most popular character?
That's probably Kaga or Kongou now, or maybe both.
you know it's true though
Thank you for that, I appreciate it.
Hah! Filthy nips think they can change history and spout their grorious nipponese propaganda. They will forever remember who it was that truly beat them.
This doujin seems to be more well received then the anime.
I pretty much never post on these threads but i'm wondering the same.
Will the anime personalities substitute the fanon ones?
Will Mutsu be perceived as a massive dyke? (pls no)
Maintenance is suffering.
