Post more LN stuffs.
>new Hakomari volume 7 will be finally released after few years break
Anime announcement when?
I just realized I wrote the title in name bar. Fuck me
Blame his memory. He forgot just about everything that happened in the first volume until Maria reminded him. He didn't have any trust in her abilities and her in general until then.
Reposting my question since no one answered it
>Anyone read elysion? Does it get any better? I tried the first chapter but it was really hard to read. And i can usually stand the poor english of web LN translations
He didn't turn into anything, that's what he is, same with Maria, they're both massive faggots.
I've ready. Best girl comes on in the second volume and the LN just ends when it seems like it's getting good. Anyway, it does gets better compared to the first chapter, but I don't think it's worth recommending it to other people unless they are really bored.
Fuck I just found my raw collection for this series.
Planning on reading Arifureta because everyone says it' shit, so I want to know how bad it is.
>Impossible. Only the first chapter is readable and the series is on some sort of hiatus apparently.
If the production knows what they are doing, they would only adapt the first 3 volumes anyway. That would be the perfect stop point to hook in readers.
Not like there was anything for him to gain from what he did anyway. If he really didn't think there was any way for it to end in his favor either from fighting or cooperating, he stood to lose far less than Yuuhei Ishihara. If he didn't have to deal with consequences either way, he would logically have a much freer hand to act than Ishihara.
We just got the first 2 chapters of vol 3 translated, keep up the vigil.
I just remember something about Mismarca lastest volumes where
Mahimahi is now a Empire's dog and doesn't care about anything, just about everyone uniting to the Empire
Jess still best bro, Lunas best waifu.
I'm glad vampire girl got to be the legal wife.
>Anime announcement when?
Hopefully fucking never. I don't understand why some of you faggots want every LN and mango adapted to a shitty animu. Especially when so much of HakoMari's narrative relies heavily on a first person limited perspective.
>I don't understand why some of you faggots want every LN and mango adapted to a shitty animu
Exactly because I read the material I want to see it animated, even if it's a garbage trainwreck.
Just like Danganronpa, for example.
Reading this now. Turns out it's predictably comfy.
It's one thing for a shitty adaptation to come out, and you end up just watching it. It's another thing to actually want the shitty adaption. Once again, I believe that the narrative of HakoMari make's even less than ideal for an adaptation. Not sure why people actually are asking for it.
I had not considered this before, and is actually a valid point.
>It's one thing for a shitty adaptation to come out, and you end up just watching it. It's another thing to actually want the shitty adaption.
You know, that makes literally 0 sense
>Not sure why people actually are asking for it.
I want to see it animated, even if it's a garbage trainwreck.
How many times will I have to copy paste this?
It's entertainment guaranteed and there's gonna be a lot of discussion about it. It's very simple
>traditional fantasy setting
>MC isn't a gary stu, he sucks with weaponry and horseback riding, and he has to compensate with studying and tactics
>FeMC is a fiery redheaded princess who is not tsundere, actually listens and learns from the MC, and isn't useless
>military and political struggles
>no harem bullshit
>no MMO videogame bullshit
I don't know who MythosIX, but I know he is based as fuck for picking it back up
>It's entertainment guaranteed and there's gonna be a lot of discussion about it. It's very simple
Why didn't you just answer with this in the first place? You seemed really bothered having to respond so many time. That's an actual reason as opposed to "I want to see it animated, even if it's a garbage trainwreck." which was troublesome to copy and paste.
I heard in the later volumes the antagonists can be straight up morons though. Supposedly they end up loosing to the MC just because the MC is the only person who ever reads.
So far it's been great fun though, not the best ever but certainly a nice read.
>Especially when so much of HakoMari's narrative relies heavily on a first person limited perspective.
Actually I think it be pretty easy to get down what thoughts to show the audience and what wouldn't need to be. The first volume would be the most confusing though.
Well my argument is that I don't want to see scenes I liked from the LN butchered by a shit adaptation. Granted it could have a large studio with a good budget and do it justice -- you want that from any adaptation. But it barely happens. I'm fine with the LNs as they are.
But I would like the idea of more discussions and doujinshi (like the other anon said). Hopefully the discussions don't turn into a large cesspool of shitposting like any KyoAni adaptation.
They are so similar that I would think if you're a fan of one, you would be a fan of the other. Not sure why you would consider one shit when they executed very similar stories and themes. Sure you're going to like one more than the other, but why does everything always have to be shit?
>Justifiable reason why the MC is good at what he does, not just his opponents being retards and pass off as a tactics LN.
>The whole team gets development, have their respective strengths and weaknesses.
>Political intrigue, ie internal struggles, diplomacy, etc.
>>Justifiable reason why the MC is good at what he does, not just his opponents being retards and pass off as a tactics LN.
Okay the way they got out of enemy territory at the very beginning of Alderamin was fucking stupid:
>Hurr durr go check out these 'people' in a balloon while we walk across a demilitarized zone between warring nationsno issue
I mean let's be honest, they are both LNs and not exactly highbrow entertainment.
>conveniently ignore the prior steps they took to ensure that the deceit was successful.
>they are both LNs and not exactly highbrow entertainment.
Because IS is just as good as kino right?
>I hope you read your novels raw
Personally I always use glasses. Protection above all else.
The steps they took were shoddy at best.
>that balloon costs a lot of money, so you better leave the front lines with a warring nation
>yeah I know you don't know our unit, our uniform smells like a deadman, and I have a foreign accent. but let me lead these people who havent even been identified across the border without any ambassador
Unless you live in a place, you won't know the colloquialism and cadences to speak with a proper accent.
>can speak languages flawlessly
>all the girls want his dick
He's starting to sound like a gary stu
I don't think it would be too difficult to adapt the narrative for a visual medium. The biggest problems I can think of would be that Kazuki's narration might get grating to the viewer, or that some of it would need to be cut or rewritten to work within time constraints.
I think the biggest problem would be keeping the audience at the same level of perception as Kazuki. He has vivid encounters that he only conscious of in dreams, and even what you read is very limiting. If you do not discretely as possibly convey those scenes visually, then the read could figure out who 'O' could be way before you figure it out with Kazuki.
I've recently taken a shine to Burriko, it's about a girl reincarnated as an Otome game villain that's famous for the horrible, horrible vengeance inflicted upon her. It also has delicious heterolust everywhere.
I can promise you Arifureta is 100% shit, but in the good way. It's literary junk food. I recomennd skipping all parts not directly pertaining to Hajime.
That's the translator Eusth quoting the twitter of the author. It's apparently 100% done. People speculate it will take about 3 months to publish.
It's nice seeing the translator being this hyped for it, you know you won't have to wait too long for it to be translated
Wait, that's gonna be the last volume?
Well I'm glad we'll get a conclusion at least, especially if he actually won't write LNs anymore
>taking break with a newly published series
>(i.e. work on other things).
screenplay for anime confirmed
good adaptation confirmed
or everything is actually dead. Inb4 rushed ending
So who else is reading Hikaru? It's a pretty good romance LN, where the mc, Koremitsu, is haunted by a ghost who was a play boy, so he has to go out and fulfill the promises the ghost has made, while at the same time causing girls to fall in love with him. Koremitsu is a great mc while the ghost is a fop foil, in which the ghost while being able to placate the girls before he died could never solve their issues, Koremitsu goes out and solves all the issues. Also the girls are cute, though temperamental at first. Pic related, the tsundere of the group, but probably the closest to mc.
Kenkyo? Wasn't she an older teen? Or am I thinking of Heibon. Actually I'm probably thinking of Heibon, think the protagonist was like 15 or 16 there before dying and reincarnating.
The guy doing the dragon reincarnating as a human is doing that one. Last I checked he hadn't done anything past the prologue though.
Yeah, it's the first volume. Unfortunately it never got finished. The whole series is great honestly. Koremitsu really drives the whole thing being the hero who saves the girls from their troubles, be it themselves or others, but at the same time is the one encouraging the girls to grow the strength to face their hardships or change beautifully.
Someone give me something better to read before I'm forced to praise Onii-Sama
Just picked this up. What should I expect?
It can't be helped.
Honoka is basically there for Koremitsu all the time. Not only that but she has enough exposure with him to actually get him interested romantically with her and she's not daring, but she is at least the sort who takes steps in romancing him.
It made sense to me. She needed a fresh new start, and her parents had divorced and all that. So in terms of setting her up for being Australia zoned, at least it happened in the same volume.
>this fucking guy
I can't wait for the Rokujo volume , Hikaru's face will be priceless
I just want to see her again. Oh and Koremitsu's reaction too.
It's her personality. She'd gladly throw away her everything if it means she can grant people's wishes.
>spend like a few hundred years looping with a girl and fall in love
>suddenly she goes all 'I don't fucking know you' once you swing a fruit knife around
Fucking beaches and shores I swear.
>>spend like a few hundred years looping with a girl and fall in love
IIRC, it was something like 90 years in total, and not even Maria has full recollection of it all. Kazuki just remembers it like snapshots or a vague haze.
Can someone for the love of god translate Phenomeno?
Well, that's the ideal ending. The "Aya" part of her will be completely eradicated, and all that will be left is the "0th Maria". Yes, Kazuki will be effectively destroying the ideal self that Maria built up over the course of ~70 years in the Repeating Classroom, but that's actually what she wanted from him all along.
Romance, among other things, is a mess in HakoMari.
I wish it was more like Tsukumodo, which covers very similar themes, but better executed (mystery/supernatural/romance with clear pairing/tragedy/waifu saving).
I see why they get compared, mysterious items that affect normal lives based off desires of people. I don't think Maria and Saki are really similar. Tsukumodo is very episodic, while HakoMari has larger story arcs that are very much connected.
>Tsukumodo is very episodic
It's as connected as HakoMari, except that clues and reveals are presented with a better pacing. Many chapters are somewhat standalone but they still contain intrigue for the main plot. There's a reason why that fortune-teller woman wanted Saki's eyes and not Tokiya's, for example.
>ended from a long time ago
>translation still not finished
Why? Also Saki is perfect moe.
Currently reading this. I've been spending the entire month reading narou novels.
Thought spoilers said that
he dies and gets to choose his reincarnation, but he chooses the world and Aqua again. And after that it's basically peace and Darkness is waiting for the proposal from him or something. Then again, this was the WN ending, so I think the author might change it for the LN.
Anyone know if pic related is any good?
It's another reincarnation novel but rather than in a fantasy setting, it seems to be in a more traditional military world.
The drama CD sounded quite interesting.
It's "My Brown Genki Elf Childhood Friend Is 30 Years Old But Still A Tomboy And Won't Stop Lying Around My Apartment With Only A Sundress On!"
Nobody is ever going to actually write it.
Well, he effectively betrayed everything she stood for and after that tried to manipulate her trust in him. It wouldn't make sense if she was fine with it, considering everything we know about her.
>I just know Maria's a fucking cunt.
Aya, anon, Aya. Maria still loves Kazuki and wants to be with him.
Actually, it was about ~70years
Another two chapters of Burikko out. We get some backstory of the bitch.
Also poor Beatrix.
>once you swing a fruit knife around
He didn't just swing it around, he casually stabbed a girl in the heart. If it wasn't a toy knife, she'd have died and Maria knew it.
And it's not strange that she said that she doesn't know him. The events of Vol. 4-5 had such a big effect on him that Maria could no longer read Kazuki facial expressions like before and hardly recognized him for who he was.
As far as she could tell, he was basically a different person in Kazuki's body and an embodiment of everything Aya hated.
>As far as she could tell, he was basically a different person in Kazuki's body and an embodiment of everything Aya hated.
I agree with your sentiment, but I think that we're supposed to react like the /a/non you were responding to. I mean, if your waifu was about to be raped and you could stop it by stabbing a bitch, wouldn't you do the same? Part of being a person is sometimes having your passions overtake your rationality, and I take Aya's unwillingness to accept this as just another aspect of her inhumanity as a "Box".
My take of things is that Kazuki actually became more human in volumes 3 and 4, and that's what led to his breakup with Aya in vol. 5. He went from a person who valued some bizarre conception of the "everyday life" to someone who valued the happiness of Maria above all else. I think that's a lot more normal. I mean, there are 1,000 stories about people who do crazy shit for love, but you don't really hear stories about people who do stuff because of their obsession for "the everyday life".
Kenkyo, Kenjitsu o Motto ni Ikite Orimasu has a very similar premise: JK MC dies and is reincarnated into a shoujo manga setting as the rich bitch antagonist, but there's only one main story love interest (where Burikko, being an Otome-game, has the four Kings), and we haven't seen the Heroine yet.
In Burikko, the MC decides to just go "fuck it, I'mma do what I want" and becomes a magic otaku and had friendship powa, while in Kenkyo the MC just decides to play everything safe, get a good education and tries to avoid the Bad End by not becoming a bitch. No romance yet, but it's still early.
The problem is that Kazuki wasn't taken over by passion. He didn't simply grab a knife and stab a girl in his rage, he casually kept lying about his motives until he got in range and performed a cold, calculated attempt at murder.
For Maria, who believed that Kazuki could never harm a person, that Kazuki would always stay loyal to his beliefs and thus be an embodiment of the life she wants to live instead of being changed down by Aya, it was betrayal most horrible betrayal imaginable.
The fact that he tried to play it off as a lie and manipulate her trust after the fact only made it clearer to her that Kazuki changed so much that she could no longer see him as the same person she knew for ~70 years.
What do you think of the current Burikko part, well where translation is? Even knowing Bitch Heroine's backstory I'm finding it impossible to have any sympathy for her after what she's been doing.
Eh, you can't fault a girl for trying to kickstart a republican revolution...
Heroine is dumb, though, because she hasn't even tried to take advantage of what could have been her staunchest allies: all the other reincarnates. I could imagine K of H deciding that some sort of parliament could be a nifty idea with some nudging...
Wow. I know beggars can't be choosers but who the fuck thought it was a good idea to use this font?
So the original had kerning set for a specific font, which was fucked up for another. It sounds like it was just something like they didn't have the right font and it output some default font instead... It's not that the font is shit, just tampering with the document turned to shit.
Wait wait wait, I just watched Korean Zombie Deskcars, is that what we're talking about?
Because if Tomonari won, I'm picking the LN up for sure.
Someone translate those already. I didn't even know there was more released
I thought ABe fags would get the job done, holy shit.
I honestly lost most of my interest in this series when it started focusing on the piercings faggot. I don't even remember or know what the hell he was even trying to do in the later volumes. I only remember Kazuki's good parts in vol 6.
Nah, I consider myself to have shit taste anyways. Some summary was really interesting, but I won't put my hopes so high.
I've read it's one of the chuuniest novels I can find. Kind of want to see if he is edgelord too.
Lurking on my LN folder, I found 死なない男に恋した少女
I don't even know why I had this, but in the end I was bored looking for some new stuff for reading so it works well.
It was more the director than anything.
He was a massive Taiko fag that cut out all the actual plot to shove her in the series despite her being completely irrelevant and not even making an appearance until volume 3-4.
Imasugu Yametai Ars Magica is the funniest thing I've read in ages. I hope it gets more volumes and that they don't suck.
Since I had notihing better to do I decided to go through Kenkyo, kenjitsu o motto ni ikite orimasu! since it was already mentioned and it's a pretty nice timewaster honestly, nothing deep though, just a cute little number about a girl trying to avoid her future doom.
Yeah, Kikuchi Seiji
>Also Mahou no Ko since it has just 1 volume.
Good taste brosef.
Too bad the author completely forgot about this series.
I saw this posted in one of the previous threads:
Just ignore all the Western stuff because they usually suck.
That's from Kamisami no Inai Nichiyoubi's author, right? I should probably check it out if it's only one volume, the last thing of his I read was really fucking good.
>anime actually can be called art
Man, I can't wait to see Haunted's antics animated.
The bullshit he pulled in vol 2 was amazing.
Lapis best grill.
Where can I get a useless drunk goddess?

No idea how this got in but I guess I'll read it. How would you translate it, 'The god of brawn, Muscle?'
At least once an LN thread. Never change.
>can't even read babby's first step to highly praised literature.
I bet you can't even appreciate Peter and Jane. Oh anon.
>anime and film can actually be called art
Recently your beloved art form has been adaptations of those gutter trash, I suppose. What an irony.
So I just heard that right is a boy. Why is this allowed?
I heard he continued even after being DCMA'd. The translations were bad but better than nothing.
Does anyone have PDFs of his translations? Volumes 1-4 seemed to have been erased from my phone.
May i have some information on your picture and maybe these?
Cannot into moon. All i grasped from my google inquiries is that those are pretty fresh, untranslated and apparently (not sure) are not written by Fuyumi Ono. Is it some kind of spinn-off about Rakushun?
It's from 12 Kingdoms, nigga, it's fanart. You can read the books at eugenewoodbury.net.
>I have a hard time ranking any AA girls because all of them are just good,
Military/Battle harem, the best kind of harem. Love is in the background, there's more pressing matters first, like just surviving cosmic horrors and removing bad witches. Just like Muv-luv.
I'm enjoying this.
Best girl time.
Who here is reading Rokka no yuusha?
As the anime is coming up, gotta spread the Fremy love.
Last I heard no one but the director was happy with the adaptation.
Why the flying fuck are there so many directors that change things around because they like some random character so much they twist the whole show around them or change shit because they think they can do better than the writer?
I find that the main girl actually really cool. She's a great comrade who skipped most of the tsundere hijinks. She doesn't play around when fighting, she's serious, but at the same time she's not an utter bitch, just a bit too focused.
She became better faster than a lot of other girls do. She's grown up a lot and became a reliable comrade. It's rare when you get a main heroine that can actually fight on an equal stage with the mc without overpowering them.
I might actually be confusing things. The synopsis doesn't tell much about the series but I'm sure I've read somewhere that it was about a harem (a real one) / prostitution life.
The funniest thing about anything Kikuchi is involved in is how similar all his characters look. Lapis Lazuli was the biggest offender.
I would be more than glad myself, were it not for the fact I cannot into moon and the translation being appalling in terms of quality. It's accurate, perhaps, but it desperately lacks some serious polishing and an editor pass form someone competent.
I marathon'd though all of the original webnovel, It was delicious. Looks like the LN has a different story with the war ending earlier and whatnot.
Any other interesting LNs with female mains?
If you're talking about >>123127080 then the "harem" is a sequestered finishing school for young noble girls (i.e. a zenana, a part of the household where only women are allowed) where they are educated and trained in ladylike pursuits so that they can become good noble wives.
>YES SLAVA PUNCH ME HARDER
>*pussy moistening intensifies*
Oh, no I meant that there's no translations up for it aside from one chapter.
But I just didn't consider that all of the chapters were in that single one. Now I feel stupid.
>A Simple Monitoring in terms of mindfucking the readers though.
Well, I have a surprise for you.
In the crossover novel, Bunny Girl is somehow alive and mocks the two protags about it.
>Guy only thinks about martial arts
>Is completely oblivious about romance in its entirety
>Childhood friend is the one girl after his dick that isn't a martial artist
She's so fucked it isn't even funny.
And White is technically a childhood friend as well, just not an obvious one.
Been reading Vamp! recently. It's fantastic, way more fun than I could hope for.
Now if only Narita realized he has LNs other than Durarara to write.
This artist draws some of the cutest girls. Jesus.
Only the Prologue up to Chapter 2, it seems interesting enough
I have read the Owari no Chronicle 5A and 5B and it was really great.
I think he was actually pretty good as an antagonist. He was a petty villain with a simple grudge opening the way for the true righteousness of Mikoku, Shino, Alex and Tatsumi, and he will turn into a true villain if it is for it. That ties pretty well on how he was always hiding his smile under his hand to this point and how his epithet is "One who hides his true feelings."
Also, he was really prepared to defeat everyone in UCAT (as seen with Abram and Kashima), and would have dealt even with Sayama if it wasn't for Shinjou.
>Some LNs are anime adaptations, therefore all LNs are /a/ related.
It's not any different. The reason LN are allowed on /a/ is because FUCK YOU. Same reason as to why /a/ has DJT generals.
LNs are books and VNs are software. The former is closer to manga while the latter is closer to games. Plus nobody really wants to go to /jp/ to talk about them. It's just not worth it.
So Hakomari was pretty good and fun until chapter 1 of volume 4.
>No she can't lead us because I have to lead for no proper reason!!!
>Now I'm suddenly leading and they trust me because of an irrelevant and hypocritical(she can't kill? She can't lead? Implying MC can, what the hell) reason that has nothing to do with me
Jesus fuck, that was dumb
>she can't kill? She can't lead? Implying MC can, what the hell
You missed the point. Kazuki didn't say that she needs to be capable of killing to be the leader, he said that the system she tried to establish as a ruler was flawed because it did absolutely nothing to prevent anyone from acting out of line. She was fully reliant on her charisma to enforce her role as the leader, but the way she punished Yuri made it clear that her methods would do jack shit in this kind of situation.
And as proven soon after, the same goes for Kazuki's.
In the first place Kazuki wasn't trying to make a logical point, he was just forcing her into a corner by abusing her relationship with Yuri. No one besides her and Yuri (who were both emotionally unstable at the time) actually fell for his bullshit.
