Reiji got put into his place repeatedly and learned to respect the game, Sei's building and Gunpla in general. It was also made clear that their team wasn't good just because of Reiji, but because his great skill was backed up by by Sei's prodigious building. As for personality, he was considered obnoxious in the show too and people didn't suck his dick 24/7. Even his buttbuddy and BFF Sei thought he was a tough case to handle.

In contrast, Sekai is just a shitter that stomps everyone with a world class Gunpla and still gets all the credit. And unlike Reiji who had a varied fighting style, his style consists of 100% Build Knuckle. The assimilation thing is far worse than anything Reiji ever pulled. Reiji was simply good, he wasn't super special snowflake assimilation tier. Everything in the show revolves around Sekai, and pretty much the only characters that aren't on the Sekai dicksucking train are Minato and Adou. And of course there's the haremshit too.

It was constant 00 wank. Particle limit came out of nowhere and only served to create a convenient way to end battles instead of actually having someone win.

The power levels were stupidly off the charts.

They wasted all the good Gundam references which were the only thing that made the shortcomings of the first season tolerable.

See, Seed didn't do great in gunpla. The Strike, Freedom, and Strike Freedom all do incredibly well, but everything else not so much. 00 has the same problem where only the Exia gunpla does super well and 00 does great while everything else is middling to bad.

Nothing sells kits like UC series. Unicorn basically printed money faster than they could make molds for kits.

G-Reco, while not the greatest in gunpla sales, does well across the board. Grunt suits sell, main suits sell, everything sells.

Build Fighters was the first series in a long time where the kits really fucking sold instead of character goods and DVDs.

Girls buy character goods and DVDs, boys buy gunpla, and they want to add the female purchasing habits to the gunpla market to make mad dosh. If girls bought Seed kits as much as they got DVDs and character merchandise we would have only gotten Seed series and it might have succeeded as a new main universe for instance(not that it would have been a good thing but you get the point.)

Fumina, Lady, and Shia exist to tell girls gunpla is love, gunpla is life.

If the whole Try was about that super robot gunpla smashing things and doing Obari poses would you like it more than original?

For the first couple months there was "Only the build burning is selling well, kits are flopping, trust me I sw a sales chart" crap going around, which is bullshit because pic related is the only time in recent memory Bandai has ever released anything close to a sales chart for Gunpla.

You can fault Try for a lot of things, but it has had some pretty great MS designs and excellent kits. Especially Naoki's.

You know what? I actually really enjoyed this episode.

Also, the Junya chop thing wasn't to teach Sekai the move. It was to hint to him about Transient having lance bits so sekai would think of ways to counter it and not be caught unaware.

As for the "how can he use funnels", hes not like Adou or shia and manually controlling them. He was just running them through the system on automatic.

And also again, Mirai is probably wearing the glasses in the preview because its the Meijin cup and she's in costume for work.

Hoshino and Yuuma finally really getting into it. Being friends. Struggling hard. Their voice acting was incredible the entire way.

Fuck, even Shia managed to have good times. Adou was great as usual.
We all knew it was coming down to particle bullshit at some point, but the ride before that was a nice change of pace from how things have been for the show.

By Try standards, this was a pretty good episode. Hell it's like the only one where teamwork is actually happening on both sides.

How could they fuck up so bad, a bit after 6:30 Adou's mouth moves but he has no line.

That was a horribly underwhelming and predictable battle. Especially disappointed in Shia. I thought she was going to do more than play nursemaid. They built her up earlier in the show for fucking nothing. Fumina doing winning beam was still pretty cool though. Yuuma...I don't know. He never looks cool in battle. He has a sniper unit but he only partially snipes and then tries to have a retarded shootout with no cover which then ends in melee every time. Andou seemed nerfed all of a sudden. Probably because he had to be dragged down to Yuuma's level. Wilfred and Sekai was nothing but screaming and punching/lancing wtih explosions.
