I can learn Japanese and translate it. I'll get back to you in four years.
Pinks are always best
>Anon is finally fluent in Japanese
>begins translating Jintai
>gives up after less than one sentence
I've seen many people say they're going to translate the novels, and not one has delivered.
From what I understand, Tanaka Romeo's writing is a lot different from regular LN shit: being actually good, it is much harder to translate without losing its nuances than "kyaa baka onii-chan ga hentai, gib pantsu back".
How does it compare to The Master?
>From what I understand, Tanaka Romeo's writing is a lot different from regular LN shit: being actually good, it is much harder to translate without losing its nuances than "kyaa baka onii-chan ga hentai, gib pantsu back".
And from what I understand, Japanese literature is actually different depending at the level it's written at. For things that carry more advanced concepts you actually need a more advanced understand of nip because kanji.
The bottom of the pile stuff would be "kyaa baka onii-chan ga hentai, gib pantsu back". material because it's written at the lowest level.
>In the show itself Watashi has to break out the dictionary to learn an alternate reading of "Heterosexual"
Don't leave me hanging, what was the alternate reading?
I'm afraid I have no idea. I don't pay much attention to LNs beyond how nobody will ever translate this one, and my own moonspeak abilities don't extend much further than kana.
You tell me me. This is the first page from Jintai volume one
I thought it was pretty amusing how sarcastic she is, but she keeps it to herself and seems pretty normal outwardly. In the first couple of episodes I had her pinned completely differently than in the end.
all humans save for Joshu-san are actually fairies, does that mean that the little guys we're told are fairies don't actually exist and are just imagined as an explanation for their passive fairy magic? I'm curious because I rewatched it after learning this and Pion said she couldn't see the fairies when Watashi showed them to her
Reminder that Assistant's personality was based on Watashi's description of her ideal man.
>wears fancy shirts
bold /schutzstaffel/ end is inevitable
It's because she's a female character with a fucking personality, not a male gratification device.
Why do I even bother reasoning with scum?
>implying she's not both
Maybe it's because chinese cartoons have desensitized me to skimpy outfits, but the way she keeps her curves only hinted at under modest dresses does strange things to my pee-pee.
>masturbating to UN officials
The most criminal lewdness.
How many millions of dollars would we have to shell out to get a fucking translation?
You need to have a huge amount of patience and some good translation experience to handle pretty much anything by Romeo. Otherwise it won't be nearly as good. The anime adaptation is really the best translated work despite being an adaptation. C+C and Kazokei translations are trainwrecks.
C+C = Cross Channel
And Rewrite doesn't really feel like a Romeo work, I don't remember the details now other than the obvious things such as two writers involved in other routes.
.. nevermind. I'm retard. Just ignore me.
We'll see about that when the egg helmet troops are dispatched near your filthy lair.
Don't shoot 'til you see the whites of their eggs
some anon promised like a month ago that he would. He even posted the raw scans and told he would get right on it after some other anon called him a gigantic faggot for making false promises.
Guess who was right.
Well, some anons have said that Romeo's style is pretty hard to translate, maybe that annon called quitafter running to a wall. As for having the raws, they are pretty easy to find. There is even a torrent with all of them on nyaa.
I liked it overall but the ending left me a little perturbed. Watashi always seemed fairly emotionally stable, so that outburst of crushing loneliness during the academy arc and the bribing part caught me off guard. Then that whole "drifting off to sleep, it was all a dream but not really" ending made me sad for her because that fairy bullshit is never going to end until it kills her
I'm still not sure what to make of this spoiler since it wasn't really alluded to in the anime. Or was it?
Regardless, the ending felt bittersweet. Yeah she's got a nice life now with good friends and family, but humanity is still slowly dying off and she's not going to get a happy ending with all those fairies trying to kill her
>Or was it?
Go rewatch it, it was foreshadowed.
Pion said she couldn't see the fairies when Watashi pointed them out to her. Assistant was described as the last of an "ethnic minority". Probably more I can't remember.
Aren't there a lot of people who can't see fairies and that's why Watashi is the liaison? Besides, if Pion can't see fairies then why would she be able to see Watashi?
Assistant was described as the last of an "ethnic minority"
Well he was practically a mute and somehow changed his appearance based on Watashi's wish or something. I thought he was the weird one, everyone else seemed pretty human to me.
>mfw reading this for the first time
This guy's grammar is some next level shit
>Aren't there a lot of people who can't see fairies and that's why Watashi is the liaison? Besides, if Pion can't see fairies then why would she be able to see Watashi?
I'm under the impression that what they call the fairies are
figments of the real faries' imagination to explain why the fairy magic happens around them. Perhaps Watashi has a stronger fairy-magic field.
>Well he was practically a mute and somehow changed his appearance based on Watashi's wish or something. I thought he was the weird one, everyone else seemed pretty human to me.
It was heavily implied, and then outright stated, that the original humanity became a bunch of hikkis and died out. Assistant grew up with no social contact, so was a blank slate of a human who ran off in search of self-discovery and happened to hear Watashi stating what personality she liked. As for everyone else seeming human, they just assume they are so they act like it. For all we know they might not actually be dying out and just think they are because they know humanity is dying out (or dying out because they think they are dying out).
>not wanting to be randomly called a gigantic faggot
Again, /a/ logic.
This is why you won't get the subs, translations, scanlations, etc. of 80% of everyone who would otherwise have the potential.
>hurr durr someone who doesn't have thick skin like us big boys must be dumb and unable to translate!
No, you're just an idiot, deal with it.
outright stated that the original humanity became a bunch of hikkis and died out
This seems like a
deadgiveaway, do you remember when it was mentioned?
It seems a bit strange to me that anyone could think of themselves as human if they knew humans already died out?
I think it was the first episode of the satellite arc while they're exploring the ruined city.
They don't necessarily know humans already died out, they just think that humanity is still in the process of doing so and that they are what's left.
It's a delusion. That's all there is to it, the faeries deluded themselves into believing that they were human and the faeries we know and love are just the "physical manifestation" of their powers.
Another hint is the title itself Humanity HAS declined. It could be "is declining."
