That stopped being a LN, the art of LNs are all similar, it's the way of japanese drawings, it's like asking marvel comics or american books to have that "american comic book" style, kind of an unfair judgement.

Most of them are like that, LNs are a different market, you don't need to watch anime or read manga to understand them.

Some of them are, some aren't, I would say that there is a higher variety of Light Novels than the others.
For example, I read this the other day:

And it doesn't has a single anime or manga reference, nothing, it's a simple story about a mysterious illness and two youngsters travelling around japan trying to explore it together before getting affected by it.

I find Sigsawa to be a better writer than Watari, his writing is simple but still pulls you into the world, I still like both though.
