It was a year ago this week we watched the last episode together /a/.
For me nothing since has taken it's place. The crazy theory threads, the waifu war threads, the Satsuki-sama worship threads, the daily episode reaction threads, 6000+ post stickies, all of them together made the show 100x better than it would have been otherwise. It's the most fun I've ever had watching an anime.
Take a moment to reminisce.
We only had four stickies that I recall, and all were for major events like Satsuki's face turn or the huge arena battle in ep 18.
It was awful - I really don't understand the allure of it apart from the fan service, the plot was fucking terrible. Mako was cool I guess but the show went really down hill after ep 11 or so.
My point is that /a/ can enjoy things, but once it becomes popular or its fanbase turns into cancer they hate it because they neither try to fit in here or are just plain hypocrital fucks
>you will never fly Harime-Air ever again
I remember the day of this episode someone made a youtube with the Panty & Stocking music over it because she was doing the headbob, and then Nui's face was in the url.
Lest we forget.
Thank god that cancer is over. I was never so embarrassed to be on /a/, and that dosh shit was awful. I can't believe any Anon would ever tolerate some mongoloid retard posting pictures of himself for the sake of a collage.
I can't tell whose more new. People that think there will never be another anime that the whole board is watching and freaking out over or you faggots that act like the board was at it's worst because of it. It's clear none of you faggots were here for Geass, TTGL, or Madoka. All were way bigger clusterfucks of the board going nuts over one show. The point is that they were all fun to watch with /a/ amd we'll have that again sometime. Even if most of you are total dumbass faggots
And nothing of value was lost :)
But no seriously, Kill la kill was alright, but let's not pretend like it was hot shit. It was good for a few dumb laughs and some cool fight scenes, but I can't say it ever gave me feels.
>The crazy theory threads, the waifu war threads, the Satsuki-sama worship threads, the daily episode reaction threads, 6000+ post stickies, all of them together made the show 100x better than it would have been otherwise.
If it had been just a little more self-contained it might have been more bearable for the rest of us but otherwise the shitposting was horrendous.
>crazy theory threads
So many death flags to Mako and she was not kill...
Feels like yesterday.
It's already 2015, fuck. Eight years since TTGL.
Participating in the threads > watching the actual show
I would just like to thank KLK for being so popular, someone at Anime-Expo decided to focus on it for 2014 and get Ami Koshimizu as a guest. Getting a signature was probably the one thing in my life I never thought I'd do, much like flying on a plane, but I did, to go get the signature.
1 tear ago since that joke of an ending.
Awful ending, decent hype ride though.
Nui best girl
Ironically the fanservice was the last thing I payed attention to while watching KLK. In fact, it was initially a detractor to the show, and it was until I looked past it that I discovered how truly awesome this series is.
I'll remember the threads fondly. Even those with autismo trying to stir up shit for no justifable reason. I winder what was of that guy.
Ending was awful, but OVA fixed it
for actual best girl
KLK was pretty bad, but damn is it surprising to think that it's been a whole year already.
feels like it just yesterday
>tfw I didn't watch KLK till the summer and I missed all the hype
People who get past the Fan service got to enjoy the wild ride that is Kill La Kill, heck I can't think of anyother anime in which everyone had an orgy and it didn't feel lewd.
Sensei x Mako's momis second best pairing.
Every girl is best girl, every boy is best boy, Kill la Kill is best anime of all time.
klk was the dumbest shit of 2014, the glasslip of our generation in plot quality. Most of his original fanbase was the triggerniggers who decided in advance that the show will be a masterpiece, and saw every episode blinded by that prejudice, unaware of the amount of garbage thrown by the show and accumulated in the threads.
They were like communists in chernobyl accident, and the worst part was the klk OC threads.
The only thing good to come out of KLK was this thread.
I've seen a dozen shows with Ryusei's but KLK's the only show with a girl in love with her clothes. And it'll always hold a place in my heart.
>and then Nui's face was in the url
>heck I can't think of anyother anime in which everyone had an orgy and it didn't feel lewd.
I know. At first I wasn't convinced to even give it a try just by looking at Ryuuko's strpperific outfit but by the end of the series everyone was butt naked and I wasn't giving a damn because I was just that invested in the characters.
I never found an anime able to do this in my 16 years of counciously watching anime.
KLK may have flaws but is quite the experience.
>What are you trying to tell me? That I can dodge bullets?
>mfw everyone thought that scrawny bitch was going to be some sort of forced love interest
>mfw IT WAS ME RYUUKO
>mfw /a/ fucking exploded
>One year passed
>Still a lazy NEET with no future
When will people stop using this term wrong?
It isn't fanservice if it's the point of the show. Everyone being naked and flaunting their boobs and butts isn't fanserivce in KLK, it's literally the entire point of the show. The show revolves around everyone stripping down, it's not fanservice in the same way an ecchi having ecchi material isn't fanservice, it's the whole fucking point.
>One year passed
>Still posting weg's that are garbled messes of images
New Hiroyuki Imaishi anime announced.
No details known, it's going to be 10 minutes long per episode. PANTY & STOCKING HAD 10 MINUTE LONG EPISODES. HAPPENING
For me the highpoint will always be the return of the Fight Club President, after /a/ predicted it for ten episodes.
All of Ep 22 was fucking great. Seeing Nui's status as invincible getting BTFO forever was ecstatic. Also the reconciliation of the Scissor Sisters. Ryuuko a qt and dat Satsuki-sama's expression of pure bliss.
I've seen hundreds of anime but none of them delivered the hype and overall fun of KLK. I'd give it an 8/10 as an experience but rewatching the show now would probably land it as a decent 6/10. I have problem with /a/ hating it since it works well to keep out newfags.
