And to be honest, I think slavish faithfulness is a quick and easy way to make a boring adaptation. If the staff don't put anything of themselves into an anime, you'd be better off reading the source material.

The female characters look AWFUL, compare to the pic here >>122820349 and pic related, they just didn't even try to incorporate the original designs and instead just went with something similar to Inou Battle and added the simpler versions of the costumes on. And of course, Trigger's animation is choppy and lazy (funny how we expected them to be the masters of animation before KLK).

Outside of that though, i think the show looks interesting. I like the colors and shading and the premise is just a nice basic revenge story, and i really like the theme song they are using on the PVs, hopefully the rest of the music is as good. Overall it could be fun, people are judging this way too quickly.
