People would have forgotten about it if not for the recent anime adaptations. Aniplex made the KnK adaptation possible and that gave the chance for F/Z.
Seems like there is no stopping this train until everything worthwhile is adapted. I don't really give a shit about TM but maybe Aniplex could consider adapting other VNs, there is a ton of shit worth looking into.

✓ Has two anime adaptions plus a prequel anime that appeals to secondaries.
✓ The focus of the story is the battle royale and not dying in horrifying ways rather than romancing a pwetty lady.
✓ There's only 3 routes that need to be read in order rather than like 6 routes that can be read in any order. This allows a solid beginning-middle-end for how the reader experience the meta-story of each route.
✓ To reiterate, it's not haremshit unlike most VNs.
✓ It appeals to both genders with its characters. So it gets both otaku and fujoshi money and interest.

By far the most boring route because most of it is exposition and Shirou being a chauvinist towards Saber because he cares for her. In the end Shirou and his ideals aren't really challenged.

We get to see Shirou for the mad person he is for the first time and see him and Rin put in a really desperate situation. But ultimately, Shirou wins out.
