I had always figured the production of their live stage stuff was from whatever event they had gotten to, unless you mean the music videos that aren't in the anime, which wouldn't be canon until they are shown performing it like Snow Halation in the second season.

what caught me as odd with Love-Live was that, because it was supposed to be light-hearted and fluffy, it didn't really show the realities of nine girls with different personalities sometimes not being on the same page.

and you'd think, out of the nine, there's bound to be one or two of them who seem to lag behind.

take Nozomi, for example, who was just a shrine maiden or something. Eli used to be a ballerina, so she'd be a natural for performance, but how can Nozomi just seamlessly sing and dance on a whim of 'oh, you need a ninth member, I want to join, sure' without it being shown how much effort she put in to be able to do that?

I can see A-RISE having great tech/support staff, but mu's literally pulls their lighting and stage out of their collective asses.
