If -1+1=0 then both states have an equal validity. EGD mearly stalls for time. The return of stick is statistically inevitable. He will seek EDG for as long as it exists phasing in and out of existence as EGD tried hurriedly to deny it, never tiring, always watching.

Anti-stick was once a part of the stick clan that reached the furthest of stick potential, but in doing so realized that endless expansion of stick potential would eventually lead to the destruction of the universe, and chose to forsake its stickhood and turn against its stick brethren, to ensure that no stick could ever become the stick nemesis.

>>122654858

>>122654717
No, because the stick doesn't have the "Being stronger than demonbane" ability. Only Demonbane bane has that ability. And Demonbane is stronger than anything that isn't stronger than demonbane, so demonbane is stronger than the not demonbane bane ability having stick.

It would be a draw, resulting in the creation of Midgard, and the continuing existence of both.

>>122654822
Ice is at most around -273 degrees Celsius.
Lava is at least 700 degrees Celsius.
You have to know at which temperature lava becomes solid and from there is just to calculate how much you would need to add in calories to the ice sun until it starts to melt, calculate the amount of calories to make it melt completely then calculate the end temperature and see if it will boil totally.
At lava's side, you would need to calculate how much calories would lose, then how much calories it would need to get solid (need to know the heat in which it changes states from and if you can consider it a 'liquid") and then how much temperature it would lose.
Two possibilitites: either the ice sun melts completely and stay as water or it even boils completely. Anyone willing to try can do it so why those lazy bums at /sci/ weren't able to do it?

That's not Lovecraft. His universe is based primarily on weird math, what would have been theoretical quantum physics which hadn't been explored yet. The majority of the work is literally things so advanced and otherworldly that we don't understand it or are unable to understand it. Even the metaverse of Lovecraft was based around popular sci-fi alternative universe theories of the time period.
The majority of Japan's idea of what Lovecraft is isn't even Lovecraftian. Rather than an exploration of the unknown and fear of the glimpses we get into the abyss they write it as "plot hax universe breakers."

Given his time period almost all science fiction and pulp writers believed that.
Logic was a metaphor for history and the established beliefs rooted in the past. Chaos was the introduction of new ideas that disrupted the order of the established logic. These new thoughts were the glimpses into the abyss of knowledge that were previously hidden by the preconceived notions in society known as logic.
Nyarlathotep was nothing more than an analog to the progress of science, especially in the wake of WW1 where for the first time in history chemical weapons had been mass deployed and the soldiers of the world had descended into madness.
>>122651723
Demonbane is a Lovecraft-inspired mecha series that started out as an adult visual novel from the developer Nitro+ and has various spin-offs, novel adaptions and even an anime series. Despite it throwing around names of Lovecraftian beings around, it has little to do with the actual mythos and is more of a homage. Demonbane is by far the most absurdly, stupidly overpowered mecha in all of fiction, it is so overpowered that Demonbane doesn't even follow logic. It takes on various forms and upgrades in the series and one of the upgrades is the War God Demonbane which is so massive that it shatters an universe because the universe can't contain it and its final form, the Elder God Demonbane is so hilariously overpowered that just it moving was creating and destroying multiverses and it can even beat omnipotents, so in other words, it is beyond the concept of infinite power. This version of it is apparently beyond omnipotence. It can also summon infinite versions of itself from other timelines, including from timelines that don't even exist, and they all are omnipotent. Fans of the series tend to be relatively annoying and claim that their series is the best thing since sliced bread. No one in any other fictional universe can hope to defeat Demonbane, even if you say that you have a character that's omnipotent, Demonbane will still beat it because that's how it works.
What if a wall made of diamond crashes into a wall made of diamond?

There are a lot of factors here, if you 3D print him out of metal, a wooden stick isn't going to do anything.

>>122658117
That still isn't destroying metal.
>>122658117

It's impossible to exceed omnipotence.
>>122658187
You can just ask omnipotence to invent a task it can't complete.
Its like i am really on /b/ x years ago
>>122658227
That doesn't actually make sense, since no such task can exist.
>>122658227
An omnipotent being can do that, and it could also complete said task.
>>122658389
If it can't create the task, then it's not an omnipotent being.
>>122658413
If it completes the task, then it's failed the condition of inventing a task that it can't complete. The task it completed was insufficient by virtue of being completely, and the 'omnipotent' being has failed to accomplish something.
>>122658483
Demonbane can invent a task he can't complete.
And then he can summon another Demonbane created for the sole purpose of completing such task.
>>122658483
It's meaningless to say an omnipotent being cannot complete a task. An omnipotent being can do A and B, even if they are contradictory.
An omnipotent being exceeds logic, by definition.
>>122654055
Sounds like Markiplier.
>>122658483
No, it doesn't make sense. Rephrased you are merely saying "Is an omnipotent being capable of being incapable?" Go ahead and work that one out.
>>122657157
>that started out as an adult visual novel

Only the first one was an eroge though. EGD appeared in the non-H sequel.
>>122658783
That's the point, it's a classical paradox criticizing the definition of omnipotence.
You might be more familiar with it in the form of "Can an omnipotent being create a rock that it cannot lift?"
If it's omnipotent, then it needs to be able to create such an object. But, if it's omnipotent, it also needs to be able to lift such an object. If it can lift it, it's failed the conditions of the creation, thus not omnipotent. If it succeeds in creating an unliftable rock, it's not omnipotent because there now exists something in the universe that it cannot do: lift the rock.
So omnipotence itself is paradoxical.

>>122658953
That argument is weak. It just asks "can an omnipotent force deactivate its own omnipotence?"
The answer is yes. But once it puts a finite limit on its strength (creating an unliftable rock), it is no longer omnipotent.
Next you will say, as they always say, "can it deactivate its omnipotence while retaining its omnipotence", which is a meaningless sentence. You are asking X to not equal X, and then equal X.
>>122658933
Ignorance can't be such a wide scale like this. Who is the game beats Demonbane?
>>122659025
Also, in the work he appears in one of the character possess the power to summon herself from infinite amount of possibilities, she is basically DemonbanexGaku on steroid.

>>122658483
That paradox is flawed in the first place. A truly omnipotent being can ignore logic and succeed at something that is supposed to be impossible.
Trying to understand how would probably break a human's mind, though.
>>122659020
Demonbane doesn't try to be "more awesome than Lovecraft", it's a goofy, cheesy loving parody of Lovecraft with mecha. It's not even about powerlevels. Most of these people haven't even read Demonbane.
>>122658953
It isnt, because you are trying to limit omnipotence by logic.
If an omnipotent being is capable of being incapable, i.e. being unable to lift such a rock, then he is incapable.
But if he is incapable of being incapable, then he is capable.
Irrelevant, as omnipotence would exceed logic and paradoxes.
>>122658652
Well, then can an omnipotent being not be an omnipotent being ?
You can't exceeds logic without fiction, stick doesnt exceeds logic, stick isn't fiction, stick win.

If we're talking about other sources, there's also Iihiko from Medaka box.
>>122658652
The problem with this account is that a non-completable task that is successfully completed is not non-completable. If the omnipotent being succeeds in doing the impossible, then the impossible was possible. It's not possible for there to be an impossible task as long as omnipotence exists, because omnipotence will, by definition, be able to complete that task and thus render it possible.
You can't complete an impossible task and still preserve its status as impossible. The very concept of omnipotence is flawed from the outset, as it renders a universe of no impossibility where the very nature of no-impossibility itself creates impossibilities.
It's also silly so say "omnipotence is beyond logic", because that's essentially saying "omnipotence is impossible due to a logical contradiction, but it exists anyways because it's omnipotence". That's called begging the question.
>>122659178
Well that's just your interpretation then.
The story isn't even about Elder God Demonbane. It's mostly just to explain why Nyarlathotep can't just delete Demonbane from all possible existences.
>>122659025
Also you fight him while this play
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5v5eSoNC_k4
>>122659178
That only happens in the climax of the story, because at that point Demonbane is no longer a character, but rather a living concept.
There may be a lot of powerlevel bullshit, but Demonbane isn't about that. It's about goofy Lovecraft homages and lovable characters. The fights are ultimately less important than the development the characters go through.
>>122659213
What if we make demonbane become nothing ?

>The problem with this account is that a non-completable task that is successfully completed is not non-completable.
Yes.
>If the omnipotent being succeeds in doing the impossible, then the impossible was possible.
Nothing is impossible for an omnipotent being.
>It's not possible for there to be an impossible task as long as omnipotence exists, because omnipotence will, by definition, be able to complete that task and thus render it possible.
Yes, that follows.
>You can't complete an impossible task and still preserve its status as impossible.
An omnipotent being can, in fact, do exactly that, by nature of omnipotence. It might not be logical, but omnipotence must exceed and be the superior to logic.
>The very concept of omnipotence is flawed from the outset, as it renders a universe of no impossibility where the very nature of no-impossibility itself creates impossibilities.
It doesn't matter. An omnipotent being can do anything, even impossible things. Again: It might not be logical, but omnipotence must exceed and be the superior to logic.
>It's also silly so say "omnipotence is beyond logic", because that's essentially saying "omnipotence is impossible due to a logical contradiction,
No, it isnt. Omnipotence cannot be limited by logic, so it doesn't follow that said quality is impossible due to a logical contradiction, itself impossible by your own admission. If A exceeds B, B cannot limit A.
>but it exists anyways because it's omnipotence". That's called begging the question.
It isn't begging the question, because it doesn't follow that because "omnipotence exceeds logic", that "omnipotence is impossible due to a logical contradiction."

Could Demonbane kill me IRL? A stick can.
>>122660565
>So in order to do so, "it" itself must exist as a node or kernel to the nonexistent Demonbanes.
Demonbane reconstitutes itself from reality, and affects reality from outside of existence regularly.
After being 'erased from reality', Demonbane turned back time in reality from outside of it. This is a thing that actually happened.
>>122660565
Well, yes. To remove it from such a capability you'd have to not only remove it from existence, but also from the past. It would have to retroactively never existed, to the point where you wouldn't even remember it or it'd reconstitute from your memories.
Azathoth and omniscient entities would also have to forget, of course. And it must also be removed from parallel existences and alternate possibilities.
And would that work? Probably not, all things considered. Jin Haganeya would probably just write another Demonbane story anyway.
