>Topic: On the crisis in the anime industry nowadays
>Itou: I’ve complained before about the increasing number of anime. However, there’s still a lot of them now. There are also rumors that they won’t decrease before 2016. I feel that this industry doesn’t have a future, and I’ve considered quitting anime. Nowadays there are more full-3D works. And despite the increasing number of job opportunities relating to the anime industry, those are only for voice actors. People, why do you all want to become voice actors?

Because voice actors receive much better payment and treatment than animators, obviously. What kind of a question is that?

Just like the Oreimo director.
Cancer should stop complaining about cancer in the industry.
If they want to change things they should remove themselves.

Do animators even matter anymore? I'm only one Ep7 of Shirobako, but it seems pretty clear that animators are plenty and can be recycled/replaced without care. You also get less staff with CG which results in more profit.

Good animators are a rare breed.
Someone go to the old geocitiies pages and I bet people have been saying this for decades.
