What the dick man. I binge-watched both seasons in a day and got pissed off at the ending. Then I realized I watched the TV ending and found the ONA ending. Jesus fuck that was so much worse. Why? This is such horseshit...
Please hold me /a/
Look under Spoiler FAQ
Why its shit?
Because best gird didn't won.

It ended as you would expect
They both realized that they're in love with each other but couldn't stay together (at least not in the material we got) because they're siblings
But the ending is supposed to be them being together
it just didnt got through censor

Greatest love story ever told.

You know, you're right about read the LN. But you should type like a human, and fix your capitalization for fuck sake, or get out from /a/.

oh my fucking god
look at this retard
point at him and laugh AHAHAHAHAHAH
and fedora tip to you too my adorable redditor mouthbreather
YnS wasn't perfect, but the adaptation wasn't completely raped and its characters butchered. Imagine how good Oreimo could have been if it had the same studio that wasn't full of shipperfaggots trying to force a character that never should have been a love interest.
Also, I heard some retard once claim Oreimo had better characters. Bullshit. The only interesting ones are Kyousuke and Kirino themselves. Everyone besides Saori I honestly found annoying after a while.
You're an idiot, please by all means stab yourself in the knee.
I was very upset that the it didn't end with
Kirino being pregnant and talking with her brother about how they were going to be such great parents.
Such a garbage ending because incest is seen as a no no.
The incest isn't even the problem in this circumstance. Yes, we need to protect our waifus and ourselves from the encroaching degeneracy of Cultural Marxism but it wouldn't be so bad if Kirino wasn't such an irredeemable bitch. She was straight up abusive of her brother who was doing nothing but help her all this time. He should've punched her repeatedly until her body went limp. Fuck Kirino. The Lannisters are more redeemable.
They probably are. They just make her into an entire different person. Still autistic though.
Censorship, can't be helped. Greatest love story ever told is butchered because of censorship, and the anime censor the already been censored LN.
You know I reply softly considering your feeling since we have same opinion. But holy shit you made me cringe.
Lurk moar or fucking get out from /a/ and go back to wherever your shithole is fucking cancer.
Tip fedora to you too, plebbit plebbook chumblr 9fag normies newfag cancer.
>tfw kirino will never grind on your lap teasing you about your erection while you play eroge together
Yes. The anime producers made Manami less fat so that they could get people to believe that she had a chance of winning Kyousuke. This is also why they made Kyousuke get all blushing and submissive when Manami taunts him sexually, so that Manamifags would spawn.
And it worked.
>Is this a thing?
Yes. Far right is a Manamifag.
kirino looks better with her natural hair
>>Also, I heard some retard once claim Oreimo had better characters. Bullshit. The only interesting ones are Kyousuke and Kirino themselves. Everyone besides Saori I honestly found annoying after a while.
That's why I hated those OVAs where Kirino was overseas.
I'm not even a Kirinofag but the show is so fucking dull without her.
I wish I had a cute little tsundere imouto to love.
looks better than that orange mop she dyed her hair
yes, her hair isn't naturally orange
>imoutits is nigh unparalleled perfection
Explain this bullshit.
I can't believe this is still news to people.

As I dropped this teaming pile of shit after the first season I am curious one something. Why did Kuro's personality so a 180 as soon as she started dating him? I keep seeing people mention this but with no explanation. Almost sounds like a plot hole.
Hey there, just passing by.
I literally couldn't stop laughing every minute of this holy shit.
You want people to explain to you an apparent plot hole that may or may not be true about a series that you don't care enough about to even watch?
Surely you understand how retarded you sound.
You come into a thread about a series you won't watch, ask for people to explain the plot to you, and then when someone calls you an idiot you scream "no you are!"
Are you going to continue shitposting here or will you bring your broken English elsewhere?
Not him but this is hilarious. Are you sure you weren't projecting when you called him 13?
that's what i came here to say
it was about their relationship from the start, please fuck off if you think that Kirino shouldn't have 'won' in the end
she's better than anyone just because she's the imouto, oh also because she's the only one that's a real character
life isn't worth living because i don't have a qt 2D imouto
i shouldn't even be here because it's retarded to keep living this life when i can end it so easily
maybe in the next world she's waiting for me, if not then i ain't even gonna bother
Oh man, you've been here for years and you still don't know that typing like that makes people think you're 12? That's amazing.
I don't care either way, it's completely your decision how you want to post. You'll just eventually figure out that no one's going to take you seriously.
Kirino is love.
Trips confirm Ayase is love.
Your dubs may be enticing, but three 9s beat them.
Kirino is life.
I want Ayase to step on me and yell in my ear.
And everyone knows Kirino is hottest. Ayase is just the cutest.
I don't have much skin in the game, but the writer of the pastebin places all agency entirely in Manami's hands and then defends everything that Kirino and Kyousuke do as "natural" arising from Manami's actions.
So it's either that the writer is giving us a very biased perspective of the events, or that the LNs are badly written
I don't mean to be rude, but anime only fags are not allowed to judge the story. Your ignorance means you have no right to an opinion on what's discussed in that pastebin. Deal with it.
God I love Kirino's round cheeks. They're so cute.
There's no "writer" of the pastebin, it's a collection of posts.
If you think that post is biased then fine, you're free to form your own opinion, but that doesn't discredit the several other well thought out points.
For the record I also don't think Manami's entirely to blame either.
No, but it's maybe the conspiration that made by some kind of manamifags group that wanted to make /a/ hate this series in order to make us forget it. And to start that, those group try to attack the fanbase so they would doubt their own belief of the goddess and start doubting each other. By making doubt, an internal war could happen which make a hole that make those group could attack them through psychology brainwashing. By making everyone hating their goddess and hating each other, manami get her revenge.
That is my conspiracy theory of Belphegor's group
I think "too bad she isn't real" comes way before that.
It just sounds biased because you're judging it based off of limited knowledge. All the stuff in there has absolutely no context in the anime so of course it sounds like asspulls and contrivances.
It's not nearly that complex.
The funny thing is when false flagging causes more false flagging, which I think was the case with this post in a tsundere thread.
Maybe you should read the novel.
Believe me, the LN is really good. Greatest love story ever told is not a joke. You seems like a person who like to think. That's why I recommend it for you.
The thing that bothers me about Oreimo is the lack of development in Kirino's character and the relationship between her and Kyousuke.
There are many moments where Kyousuke helps her in some way and she shows her appreciation and seems to change her perception and attitude towards him.
But then in the next chapter, volume or episode it's right back to square one, as if there had been no progress made between them at all, no change in their relationship.
The most glaring example is when Kyousuke flew to America to retrieve her. They seem to have a real breakthrough moment, yet when she comes back home she's right back to treating him like dirt. Rinse and repeat.
This lack of visible progress in their relationship made the ending feel kind of forced. Where suddenly as if Kirino received all the development she should have throughout the series, but all at once and seemingly does a complete 180.
Their relationship does get better with each volume, it may have been a bit subtle at times but if there's something you can not complain about it's Kyousuke's and Kirino's character development.
I feel the same way. I loved when she showed him a little affection and was always baffled when she went right back to her old ways. I was happy when she finally changed at the end but it did seem kind of strange. I only watched the anime though. Maybe the LN handled it better.
>They seem to have a real breakthrough moment, yet when she comes back home she's right back to treating him like dirt.
Have you considered that Kirino comes back for Kyousuke even though she's not the type to give up, only to find that he seems to be getting along just fine without her? From her perspective, while she was gone Kyousuke grew close to Kuroneko while she was gone and he has his own group of friends. Kuroneko's teasing her and there's obviously something between them so Kirino's jealous, but the reason she left was to move on but evidently that failed to. She basically came back from a great opportunity to watch the guy she loves fall in love with her friend.
That's not to excuse the silly fake boyfriend ploy she pulled off but the circumstances are clearly frustrating, and the point of that was to check if Kyousuke even cared.
I read the LN and in my eyes there wasn't a significant difference.
In fact there were some moments that made her seem worse, such as in Volume 11 where even after learning the full story behind Kyousuke's change in personality she still refuses to forgive him. That really annoyed me.
I fucking hate who she truly is as a person. I loved the smug, snarky bitch she was before. I'm never getting over her becoming a shitty unnecessary love interest that went from arguably shit to completely shit and pandering to waifufags.
Assuming you're talking about the anime, yeah, that's the biggest problem it has. In the LNs it's not the case so much, as after V7 she's pretty much calmed down entirely, and she has lots of dere moments where she cares for Kyousuke and shows compassion for him.
At times, it seems like for every wall Kyousuke tears down, she builds another up, but her development is very subtle at times. Maybe even too subtle for a main love interest in a romcom. The way I see it Kirino's mentality is that she intentionally wants to distance herself from Kyousuke to avoid emotional attachment, and the more she finds herself loving him, the harder she resists. That's sort of the essence of tsundere. When Kyousuke finally breaks down the final wall, she completely melts, even if not immediately, like when she tried to run from his confession by playing eroge, which had been her outlet for emotional frustration until then.
That was probably the most significant part of their development, especially for Kyousuke.
I wholeheartedly consider Oreimo to be a tale of two tsunderes, and part of that means that neither of them want to admit how much they've grown. Every once in a while you'll see a chink in the armor that is their personalities, and you get to see what they really think. Kyousuke outright lies in his narration at times, and Kirino obviously doesn't show her true emotions very often. This can seem frustrating at first, but when you learn to see through it, it's incredibly rewarding to see those moments where one of the siblings alludes to their true feelings.
I like that interpretation, but is there any evidence of it being the truth?
Obviously there isn't in the anime, but I can't recall if that aspect is present at all in the LN.
Most of Kirino's thoughts and motivations are unclear. I wish we got more from her perspective. Like in the supplementary material that shows the beginning from her perspective.
>Volume 11 where even after learning the full story behind Kyousuke's change in personality she still refuses to forgive him
While I don't really remember her saying she doedn't forgive him it would not be wrong at all, Kyousuke suddenly stopped caring about her when he was the most important person in her life and even became jealous when she tried to imitate him. They both apologized to each other and admitted they both made mistakes.
>in Volume 11 where even after learning the full story behind Kyousuke's change in personality she still refuses to forgive him
I think you're mistakenly thinking of it as one sided. What she says is:
>"I will never forgive you. So please, don't forgive me."
That's a two way street. You have to understand that the cold war was both of their faults. He failed her, and she failed him. It changed both of their lives forever, especially Kirino's, and she's not ready to say that it was okay for him to do that. If she validates their past actions, then they're not going to move on from them or keep their relationship improved. She's basically saying "What we did to each other was horrible, and we should never, ever let ourselves become that again."
She does apologize to both Manami and Kyousuke though, so I thought that was nice.
>I read the LN and in my eyes there wasn't a significant difference.
There's nothing I can really say, to me there was a huge difference. The LNs lived off of subtle things like pic related and I still missed the significance of a bunch of stuff, but there even major differences like all the things Kirino does in V8 and V10.
Also, pic related is a good read.
It's the impression I got when reading the LN. She didn't really treat him poorly unless he was indifferent towards her, and as soon as the fake boyfriend incident re-insured her how much she meant to him most of the confrontational attitude she had with Kyousuke drifted off and she started teasing him and spending hours listening to voice actor recordings with him and stuff.
I think the fake boyfriend incident was the turning point in Kirino's character for that reason, whereas Kirino returning home from America opened the siblings up to each other a bit but didn't have an immediate impact on their character.
The story is told from Kyousuke's perspective, so we never know what other characters are thinking. We can only infer based on what we know about them and based on their actions, which in Kirino's case are huge hints. The fake boyfriend thing was obviously an experiment to find out if Kyousuke cares about her, and make him understand how she feels by putting him in her shoes. This isn't stated, of course, because how could it be stated? You just observe the characters.
Seems like I interpreted Kirino's words as being more harsh than they really were.
I also think I may have glossed over a lot of the more subtle details. I'm going to have to give the LN another read after the NanoDesu translation is finished. Or rather if it gets finished,.
It's a story that's meant to be reflected on, I think. Not necessarily reread, but just sort of reviewed. Some parts were hard to read or understand for me because of that. I only managed to figure some things out after discussing it in these threads so many times.
>I also think I may have glossed over a lot of the more subtle details.
Some foreshadowings and stuff are stupidly subtle. Pic related hints at who Kyousuke used to be, and how he's completely forgotten about his childhood self, all the way in Volume 1, and then it gets delivered on ten volumes later.
Yeah, there are 3 lines in the very first volume about him trying to remember something from his childhood in the context of him helping Kirino, it's really easy to read over those small things.
>tfw i was going to write a shitpost dissing kyousuke's memory issues then i realized i can't remember anything past 2 years ago
I've noticed a couple things like that in EMS, but not as much as Oreimo. It's sort of steadily revealing what happened to Masamune's parents, and that the reason he's dependent on Sagiri as his only 'family' is that he has
extremely deep separation anxiety due to his mother's sudden death.
Still not totally revealed what happened to his father that remarried, but he did remark that he will never be coming back. He possibly abandoned him. Poor guy.
>purest form of love
I pick both.
There's nothing lewd about having your insides painted white by your brother's semen
You incest fetishists are the worst.
>implying freud wouldnt have a field day with my mind
Kirino is truly the Golden Imouto. Undefeated of the East, she can't be beaten.
Drown in obscurity like your waifu, old friend.
It was decent, the small changes really sucked but you can still understand the message if you think about it.
What a shitty screenshot, no idea why I saved that one. Better version.
Not him, but you got some shitty taste my friend.
The Legend Never Dies
Pyrite-chan will remain dead last among those that even rank.
The LNs ended with an ambiguous ending that's hinted that they're still together but not in an outright way, since they're too young to support themselves.
The anime ending was complete dogshit and was largely because of all the anti-incest laws and lobbying at the time.
>The LNs ended with an ambiguous ending that's hinted that they're still together but not in an outright way, since Fushimi was held back by Dengeki Bunko's editorial policies.
Fixed. Kyousuke has saved a decent amount of money and Kirino is a teen model, she has more than enough to support both of them if they decided to move out.
Good of you to clarify.
the entire show is self insert wish fulfillment for the absolute worst types of anime fans. ayase's the least horrible but her shouting about how incest was fucked up was framed to make her look mean and horrible to poor little kirino and self insert mc. The entire show was horrible, kirino wasn't a tsundere she was just violent.
I liked the actual siscon dude and his horrible yaoi sister, that seemed like it'd be a much more interesting story to follow and much less of a my little sister's a perfect tsundere masterpiece and loves all the otaku bullshit the viewer does but I can't fuck her until I go through a long journey of self discovery.
How do you deal with the unquenchable desire to sex the imouto?
Today I will remind them.
That only helps for a little while, then she gets sexycute again and you have to sex her more.
Well done, Cirno. Doubt I'll match your feat this time.
Ah, so: http://pastebin.com/g1awYmW4
Good to know. Always good to have spoonfeeding tools at the ready for these Oreimo threads. Have an Oreo from the Rino.
She has Kyousuke. Also, was there ever really any doubt she would come out on top? The Oreo was in the bag. Though some didn't seem to see the writing on the wall.
Though she will need some of that milk for Kyousuke.
Wasn't much need for the others to cry over
How about this near miss?
>over the line
The line was beyond your scope.
How about something like this instead?
>implying you aren't hoping for even more lewd things
Who handled it the best? I think it is fairly obvious.
Oreimo is incredibly comfy if you aren't a hypersensitive ninny who thinks that any of the characters were bitches/cunts/etc, with the possible exception of Manami.
The rejections weren't super comfy, but rejection is a natural part of life, and it all worked out in the end.
You know what else was comfy?
Clearly took it the best.
>marathoning two seasons of Oreimo in one day
It hurts me when I'm just trying to think about it...
What has you saying that?
Society is such a hypocrite.
To think, John really thought she could be stopped.
True. On another note related to: >>122619294
All very normal, mind you.
Afraid I don't have it handy.
Certainly spawned her, yes. She had the right stuff. Daisuke didn't do so bad, himself.
Is Kyousuke gonna fix that leaking?
Maybe he'll just make a bigger mess.
Hard to say, but I know one thing though. Daisuke is aware of all that goes on under his roof.
His love for Kirino does odd things to him.
How would you react?
I actually felt so bad for her when she got rejected and just started bawling. It was like man I just wanted to hold her, and be like 'damn girl it's okay he's a fucking pleb anyway'.
Holy fuck do I know that feel, getting rejected by someone you really liked and totally fell for. It fucking hurts too when they're your friend and they really just don't want you, but boy did they seem to be trying their best to drop hints.
I actually fucking hated Kyosuke after that episode because nigga just toyed with Kuroneko and then was like, nah.. I actually don't like you.
Fucked up meng, she was so lonely and isolated, nd he gone done get a young girls hopes up like that. What a fag.
But what does it mean?
The rejections will never end.
>nigga just toyed with Kuroneko
Fucking Kuronekofags. You have it so backwards.
She looks better without the little bows, I think.
Her face is pretty round too
she use to have a crush on some older guy I was friends with which ended years later when he knocked up a bipolar chick then abandoned the child he had with her. Harsh life lesson indeed
>dat feel when you are your best friend's little sister's crush but she's too young for a mature guy like you, but you're still pretty bro tier friends
>dat feel when she turns into a qt and then wants nothing to do with you when you make moves
Your friend sounds like a moron is what I'm trying to say.
alas, use to share anime VHS and super nintendo games with me back in the day before he got into drugs and 3DPD but I've populated this thread with enough of my blogshit
How does an imouto get a body so lewd?
By training to be worthy of her onii-chan.
Sorry to hear that dude, I've lost a lot of friends over stupid shit too.
I basically got disowned by a friend because I fucked up a verse in a song in a battle of the bands performance at his school. True story.
Really, really good friend too. Knew him for years, played tons of vidya, 40k, and did loads of stuff with him.
Some people are just like that, sad thing is vast majority of people I speak to, that have cut people out of their lives for one reason or another, tend to be pretty self-centred people.
They end up marrying other self-centred 'ambitious' people like themselves, having spoilt children with huge issues, and generally they have a fucked up adult life because they put the same amount of effort as they did with their old friendships into their new family. When it doesn't work out they realize they can't just cut their kid and their SO out, so the whole thing becomes a fucking disaster of a train wreck, but there's next to no one to help them out.
And the cycle repeats with their fucked up kids who everyone feels kinda bad for.
Watch it but it's kinda shit. VN and manga are better.
What's wrong with that? Lolis can be the best girls occasionally.
Why are they better? Better character development? Even more
The light novels are better. But the anime is pretty good by itself, and here is where, incomprehensibly for me, most LNfags disagree to a certain degree.
Anyway, there are literally only four reasons why a person wouldn't like Oreimo:
1. That person doesn't like anime/manga in general (roughly equal to being a normalfag).
2. That person is a moralfag.
3. That person is a Kirino hater.
4. That person is retarded enough not to understand/lurk more.
Normalfags, moralfags, Kirino haters and retards can go fuck themselves.
Kirino is a miracle of the Universe.
Says you faggot. I got three siblings, incest all the way (2d only obviously).
Ayase should have won.
To play contrarian: sometimes cutting people out of your life is the best thing to do. Nothing is worse than a toxic relationship, whether it be friend, family, or romance.
Obviously not every not-perfect relationship is toxic and needs to be amputated, but I find that nerds are particularly bad about sticking with shitty people. We have a saying on /tg/ that goes something like, "no gaming is better than bad gaming."
Not that anon, but 80% of viewers are retarded. Animeonlyfag here and I loved every minute of it
except the ending because RL happened and I never got back to it, although I don't see anything wrong with the summaries.
That scene was hot as fuck, bro.
Oh yeh totally, if you do everything in your power to help that person, and they're still a massive dick hole, it's just not worth it dragging yourself down further.
And yeh, no DnD is better than DnD with complete dickholes. Thankfully never had a group where we had a 'that guy'.
I'm watching it right now and I'm enjoying S2 way more than S1.
I'm glad it stopped with Kyousuke's cringe-worthy speeches and went full rom-com. There's also more dere which is great even if it's slightly annoying watching the show pushing different girls forwards when you know they're going to get BTFO anyway.
