Will it take them years to finish this as well?
The team said it should be done within 2015, but given how tedious and cluncky the process is (recording from a Vita and syncing over the PC version, no raw audio files as game/console haven't been cracked) i'd be surprised if the team will not start losing people left and right after a while.
The final patch is 100% edited.
While playing i spotted a couple of typo here and there but that's really minor stuff.
>While playing i spotted a couple of typo here and there but that's really minor stuff.
Well, I downloaded the "leaked" patch a few months ago and it was edited like ass, I'll check the completed patch later.
Still that doesn't change the fact that it took the 8 years to finish the first patch, so expect a release date of 2023
Shouldn't be too bad. They have all the resources in place and the means to insert it, so it's just pure tedium. One person could probably pump out a scene a day if they had absolutely nothing to do, so two or three people could reasonably finish a few scenes a week at a slower pace.
There have only been three teams.
First arai translated some scenes from Japanese on BL, and gndynames translated some scenes from Chinese on his blog, and I think some guy called BlueGunner or something like that translated some scenes on MM's forums. This is not a team.
amukunau and delta were the first team, they started a project to translate from Korean. amukunau made a blog doing weekly updates, then semi-weekly updates, then monthly updates, then no updates for months.
Some time later ranmafan and mewarmo990 tired to collate and amalgamate all the previous efforts onto tlwiki, amukunau handed over all the work he'd done so far (about 15-20% of the script IIRC) and quit. Later ranmafan went MIA, then mewarmo990 quit to go to med school, and the project was filled with google translate from (IIRC) random Argentinians.
Jacktheinfinite101 took over the project at some point but had no translator. Thanks to this it stalled for months more until the leak happened, and (I think, I wasn't really paying attention) apparently this was enough to motivate Dozenagent and eternal dreamer to step up finish the job, this was the third team and final.
The stalling the last time was due to a lack of motivated translators. This time round it should be largely programming and not translation, this job is perfect for an autistic programmer like Jack, if he stays true to form it should be done within a reasonable timeframe.
As for the recording, apparently Jack wasn't even going to attempt this project due to logistics of recording until someone even more autistic came to him with voice files already recorded.
Indeed, I believe we also have them to thank for translations of Kagetsu Tohya, parts of Mahoyo (I can't find the patches myself but I'm assured that mcjon01 did indeed release partial patches based on his translations), various side materials like CM3 and everything on the Fuyuki wiki (if you lump arai under "Beast's Lair"), and the Moonlit World (Evospace was admin of BL too) translations of the Tsukihime 2 Prelude, Talk, and Angel Notes (Evospace again) and probably much more that isn't coming to mind immediately.
For all /a/ makes fun of them they really are a core part of the foundation of the English-speaking TM fanbase.
Paitouch is from BL so we have to credit them with Prisma Illya 3rei too.
Nobody's doubting their autism, you have to be pretty autistic to study TM lore in depth like it's Tolkien or some shit.
Beast Lair is in fact quite an awesome place.
If there's a significant progress update after a couple months, I'd wait, but just read it if they're stalled at that point. Anyone know how many scenes are voiced in the first place? I can't imagine they bothered voicing every Caster going shopping scene or anything like that.
>mfw we're getting Sakura's Diary voiced
>the Rider bath scene with voicing
>all her teasing
My dick will literally never be ready. That scene was 10x more erotic than any of the h-scenes.
Without voice you wont get who says wat most of the time there a lot of instances where is no convenient name at top of dialogue and translation does a very poor job at conveying.
Are you honestly comparing putting a bunch of self-contradicting points in CM 3 the same as the Silmarillion ?
Or the fact that Tolkien created entire languages for his setting
>ar (UTW): No, UBW is my last project I’ll be working on at least. Doesn’t mean the other guys can’t keep subbing if they want to release stuff under UTW. My priorities in life have changed and my not picking up anymore projects reflects this.
Ah okay. Comprehension is probably one of my stronger points so I think I'll read it as much as it pains me to not hear Rin say "Emiya-kun."
Sorta accidentally watched it after I finished UBW. I was curious then just couldn't stop watching. These kind of threads have spoiled most major things for me anyway but i don't mind I just love learning about the lore.
But Caster and Rider becane ten times more interesting in HA. Probably because they didn't have as much SOL shenanigans before, so writers could be creative.
Also, that Kuzuki backstory.
I'm right now reading through KT, and damn it, are Ten Nights good, even the ones not written by Nasu. Dawn in particular managed to pull off Nasu really well. If it weren't for the name in the credits, I wouldn't have ever figured out it was not him.
Also, Red Demon God and Crimson Mon are god-tier. Especially Red Demon God.
Does Caster get to be a cute character?
Let's go home Len, it's time for your mana transfer. And throw that stick away
She's past the Christmas cake age at least
Man, Kuzuki has it fuckin made.
>enjoys his work (as much as he can enjoy something)
>lives in a bitchin' temple
>hot devoted wife
>spars and drinks with Issei's brother all the time
>can also punch holes in servants if he wants to
How do you know?
Well, I didn't do that because I don't know Japanese and have a lot of other problems now, but how can you be sure nobody joined? It's not like /a/ is one person.
People just like to flaunt their superior knowledge of the franchise not that autistic. The Yuki Yuna /a/-Base in terms of autism, literally any new LNs/VNs released and such are translated ASAP.
>People just like to flaunt their superior knowledge of the franchise not that autistic
It's actually really fucking autistic if you just repeat the same shit thousands of time
>Yuki Yuna /a/-Base in terms of autism, literally any new LNs/VNs released and such are translated ASAP
That's being pro-active
>People just like to flaunt their superior knowledge of the franchise
That's being autistic.
Learn the difference
>can also punch holes in servants if he wants to
>Who is that and why is he relevant
You haven't heard of Capsule Servant? He's probably my favorite character.
>But there is a lot of unexplained things that are highly debatable
Actually not really.
And these shit have been "debated" since 2008 or so in /a/ yet the threads and arguments are always the same
We know about it because heroic spirit gamecreater let it slip that Capsule Servant was his favourite Fate-related thing, and we know he obviously is from the future.
Everybody here can't wait.
Well, there is also a small possibility that it will appear in Tsukihime remake but we prefer to hope for the best.
>attempts to call out someone as a newfag
>can't even place the / in the right place or use proper capitalization
>Can't handle we laugh at him
>Tries to get back at us by talking shit about our capitalization
Will the Tsukihime remake have voices?
After Mahoyo's mediocre performance I'd hope they would know that voices are expected in this day and age, especially from such a successful author/group.
Also, it's taking so damn long that it doesn't have much of an excuse.
Tsukihime remake will never be released in your lifetime.
Should it really take this long to redraw the CG and spirits then slap some voices on top? Only reason this'll be understandable is if they come out with some above Mahoyo tier animation and effects.
I know it's improbable, extremely so. But I just want to feel hope, anon. I want to dream, and I want to encourage others to dare to do so themselves. Is that so wrong?
