Chuunibyou (8th grade syndrome) isn't straight up delusional, it's a "pretend" to be delusional level. Not a straight up delusion.
Someone who very well understands that his/her fantasy isn't real, but chooses to indulge in it.
If someone is completely out of touch with reality, that's straight up kichigai, or "nuts".
