Tomino had said this series was for kids, and sure it was a bit simplistic, but mostly felt like Turn-A in a way.

But the last few episodes have really driven home it being aimed at kids with how stupid some of the actions have been and how simplistic and trusting the characters have been.

IE: Actually believing they were going to be given "tasty fish" after being attacked/held hostage by that group.

The G-IT Corps guy being a retard and firing on the G-Self when it was directly up against the underside of the ocean and not realizing it would blow open a hole. That huge "love scene" between Manny and Mask when they really hadn't had any interactions that hinted at him having any real interest in her at all, etc.

Yet people are jumping around switching sides and such so much that I can't even keep things straight anymore. So I don't know how he expects kids to follow the plot when the factions are this jumbled.

Anyone sorted this mess out and able to bullet point it?

The Megafauna is technically with Ameria, but acting alone atm. Klim is with Ameria of course and fighting the Capital Guard with their ship they got from Gondara or w/e ... and I think they're also allied with the Dorette fleet?

Then where does Towasanga fit in with this? Are they with Dorette or a different faction? Then you have G-IT Corps and the Full Moon ship that want to do the reconguista -- and the Megafauna fought them and took their mechs, but now seems to be traveling along with them as of last episode ... but then this episode back to fighting them?

And they let Manny train with them on the Megafauna and let her take a really powerful mech when she had infiltrated from the Capital Guard and let her go off with it back to Mask who is "against" the Megafauna.

Noredo being a pilot now makes no sense at all, since she wasn't even in the school for it, let alone letting her have a G-unit.

The one pilot from Towasanga I guess makes sense bc he's more an ally of Raraiya.

If I've seen all UC series and all AU series up to (and including) Turn A, I can start watching this one and not miss out on anything?

Or should I first watch the rest of them (SEED, 00, AGE) first? Is there some kind of continuity/references like how Turn A had to all previously unrelated ones?
