What is your favourite plot involving a girl turning into a girl?
Hard mode : The guy doesn't instantly become a cock craving slut that has a braindead expression on her face upon seeing a dick.

Ore Twintails cause the author has to be high as fuck to come up with the shit that goes down.
That said DATE's stuff is top notch
Stories where the MC permanently turns female, gradually adapts to living as a girl and eventually falls in love with a guy are best.
Also, I think that stories where the MC is surrounded by female friends and lives as a girl are preferable to ones where the MC hides her transformation or is close to a male friend.
I don't see the problem? There are quite a few manga and anime with this storyline so I don't see why it can't be discussed in a friendly manner. That's like saying that if we talk about the politics of Aldonah Zero we should do it on /pol/
My immediate family was perfectly fine with it, and incredibly accepting. When I came out I hadn't graduated yet, so my folks offered to pay for my laser sessions. Best parents ever. My grandfather on my mother's side was definitely not OK with it, but his wife had trouble understanding, but she didn't seem to mind, and approached it with mere curousity. Father's side was OK, since I've been labelled as an 'eccentric passionate genius' by them for the past half decade, so it was just another quirk, and again, more curiousity with slight suspicion than anything else. I went the longest time without telling them though.
I ditched all but two very close friends after graduating, and they're the only two friends I've told. They didn't care, and switched the topic back to seasonal anime. We still text each other even though we're all living in different cities now.
Not really. A couple people hit on me, but I can't tell if they're teasing or are actually hitting on me. I do as my sister has always done - pretend to not understand unless they say it straight-out. No one really cares, so long as your work is quality and you deliver roughly on time, to be honest. Probably because it's just another quirk in a quirky industry.
Can't say I thought it was good. It's filled with loli fanservice, which I guess one might see as a good thing depending on one's inclinations. The story never made sense and didn't seem to be going anywhere. E.g. if the dude is possessing the loli's body, why was it physically turning into a grown man when it ran out of juice? Can't say I care for this manga. It's too stupid.
Is it really heterosexual if one of them has the mind of a male?
We need experts here. Someone define homo and heterosexual. Is it based on genitalia, or the intelligence that drives them?
>oh shit someone is posting something i don't like
>i could just ignore it i guess...
>nope i will keep posting in the thread about how much i don't like it and throw a massive tantrum
>and i will also keep yelling for the mods like they are my parents
mai has the mind of a female now. she doesnt remotely think or act like a guy. even the whole "kyaa naked girls!" thing is more like a lesbian's reaction than a guy's reaction.
What if the character's mind is affected by the transformation as well?
Being a faggot is the same as watching anime: you keep it to yourself, and if somebody finds out, they avoid you or change the subject when they're with you. Have some mercy with the guy, we're all like that.
Well you articulated your points clearly, and I can understand where you're coming from. Me, I'm just waiting for the inevitable loli fight.
Pic related, it's a loli fight.
I think it really depends on how the artist wants it to be portrayed. Like in idol pretender the mc started to be attracted to males because of being in a female body despite liking a girl.
Actually they are the worst, the ending of Idol pretender for example.
The girl the MC loved told him she would accept him even tough he is in a girls body now.
What does he do leave her, despite having worked day and night to become the men of her dreams, the guy dedicated his life to become her ideal and no once he realises there is no way out he goes for the cock as that is what girls are supposed to do despite his original love accepting him.
They should make a story where the mc gets changed into a female but acts and thinks the same as his normal male self with the charecters around him acting differently towards him
To be fair, Mai was initially attracted to women. Her embarassment at seeing naked girls wasn't any different than that often displayed by male MCs. Though over the course of a few months of living as a girl she got used to seeing naked girls, lost interest in them and then started being attracted to men.
She really dislikes it when a lesbian molests her, so she wouldn't want that to happen. Also, when that beautiful lesbian confessed to Mai, she reacted with surprise and she seemed unhappy about it. Not the way a guy would react to a beautiful girl confessing to them.
she seemed more surprised and flustered than unhappy.
with shiori it was more like "this crazy killer is now in love with me? oh shit".
i dont think mai would mind getting fingered to a massive orgasm while feeling breasts pressing into her back.
No. I want to fap to my fetish, not feel warm and fuzzy because I'm insecure about my gender.
Chinami had been closer to Oguri from even before the beginning of the story, while Yuika was simply someone he had recently developed a crush for and had never really interacted with. Chinami had only be infatuated with Yuika for a short while. After all Oguri asked Chinami about Yuika right at the start of the manga so this must have been quite recent.
And I don't see anything wrong with Chinami simply deciding that her feelings for Oguri are stronger than those for Yuika and choosing him over her.
You make it sound as if genderbender stories where he MC's mind isn't affected are rare, when on reality they form an overall majority.
The only non-H manga series I know of where the MC appears to develop feelings for a guy after transforming into a girl include Artificial Maiden, Boku Girl, Boy Meets Girl Girl Meets Boy, Idol Pretender, Kanojo ni Naru Hi Another, Mao Marimo, Megu Milk, Nozomu Nozomi, Remix Heart and Sekainohate de Aimashou. And I'm including series where they don't end up together or where the boy used to be a girl.
Manga with full-time transformations where the MC is attracted only to girls include Asuka Hybrid, Ichinensei ni Nacchattara, Joshi Shougakusei Hajimemashita, Kashimashi, Tsukiyo no Fromage and Panikuru Iko-san. The list might seem small, but that's because the number of series with full-time transformations is very small to begin with. And almost all manga where the MC can switch forms have the MC only be attracted to women. E.g. Adolescence Avatar, Futaba-kun Change, Gacha Gacha Secret, Kampfer, Okitsune-sama de Chu, Ore Twintail, Ranma, Sai Taker, Saikyou Mahou Shoujo Akira. The sole exceptions I'm aware of where a character who can switch forms shows interest in men are Fukigen Cinderella and Nyotai-Ka.
Screw normal genderswap scenarios
I want to see more stories where the both sides exists simultaneously and have to deal with each other
But that's not what happened in that manga. The MC was acting as masculine as she can (being surly, getting into fights, etc.) because she is overcompensating for turning into a girl. In reality she was becoming more female in e.g. crushing on her male best friend even if she was in denial over it.
Holy crap, this post, thank you. I just wrote all those series down to start, I wanted to find some sweet non-hentai series. Many thanks!
I hate it when the character's personality changes after the transformation and their former sense of self is destroyed. If someone is genderswapped (without their informed consent), it's very depressing to see them lose their identity and become someone else, even though most stories portray that in a positive light.
Just because a character changes doesn't mean that they become someone else. People change naturally after all, and genderwapped characters have continuity with their past selves.
A 5 year-old and 50 year-old are still considered the same person even if they are very different because there is a continuity between the two. Genderwapped characters also show continuity and can therefore be considered to be one person even if their change is more sudden.
Our sex and sex hormones determine a great deal of us, but not all of it. Not even close.
Boy who turns into a girl at age of 20 will have 20 years of being a boy at the background. That upbringing molded the person into who they are, hormones cannot change that. 50 years is even bigger issue.
>Stories where the MC permanently turns female
Permanent or nothing. I dislike all those other variations, because it's mainly used as a draw for a slow arc and then dropped. Either do it properly or learn to make your shit interesting without that gimmick.
I don't know about that. After she loses interest in the fair sex, Mai doesn't seem to enjoy skinship with other girls.
One thing is gradually adapting to the physical changes.
Another one is the change forcing mental changes that can't be resisted.
The former is acceptable, the latter leads to personality death.
I wish gender bender showed up even slightly more often outside of hentai manga. Hell even in hentai it's remarkably rare for actual gender bender to happen, most of the time it's just body swapping.
A person's identity can change gradually as they are shaped by their experiences. However, if someone is suddenly kidnapped and forcibly subjected to some unknown surgery (or magically genderswapped), resulting in both their mind and body being transformed, I would imagine they would struggle with their identity. They retain are the memories of the previous person, but if they don't think the same way as before, their identity is not the same. Plus they have their physical body altered as well in genderswap stuff, so they're even further removed from the person they previously were.
The typical resolution is for the genderswapped person to accept their current identity and move on (after passing through the previous stages of grief), which makes sense from their perspective. I just feel sad for the former person who no longer exists.
Genderbending normally involves adapting to physical changes as well. And it's not an instant shift. The character normally takes a while to change.
By the same reasoning, the 5 year-old no longer exists and has been replaced by the 50 year-old. After all, the two don't think in the same way and the way they view themselves is also different. Again, other than the shorter time frame of the transition, I don't see a real difference between the two.
By the way, I liked the fact that Mai struggled over questions regarding her identity in her manga. Despite it being a comedic series, it put a reasonable amount of emphasis on her psychology.
Mai's franchise doesn't provide B/W/H measurements for any of its female characters, so I cannot answer that.
Indeed. Her chest does seem to be the biggest among her friends. It makes two of her less endowed friends jealous.
Hard to say. They seem to be about the same size.
I'm guessing 15, since it's her first year at the academy. She's in the same year as Makoto and Tsubaki.
Just because she doesn't have back pupils doesn't mean she's mindbroken.
>I'm guessing 15,
That's a lot of room for growth then.
Kind of funny that the guy has about the largest bust in all of the cast.
The other girls look the same at 15 as they do at 18, so I'm guessing that the same will apply to Mai.
Mai isn't a guy anymore. One thing that amused me though is that years later after they all graduated and went their separate ways, Noel still hadn't gotten over the fact that Mai has bigger breasts than her.
>Mai isn't a guy anymore
Oh you know what I mean.
Hopefully she'll be in BB4 now that she's actually popping up in the story somewhat.
I don't see it. Mai is a cheerful and open girl to her friends, but that doesn't imply to me that she's mindbroken or wants to be fucked. (She may be in love with a guy, but we never see her thinking about sex.)
I think so. I mean they are even including phone straps of her along with Noel and Celica in the next game. I think that this, in addition to the fact that there will be an entire side-story focusing on her within the game, indicates that she will be an important character in the future.
Who the hell is Ragna going to end up with in the end?
Well, if he doesn't die.
>involving a girl turning into a girl?
How does one accomplish this, tell me more OP
Careful what you say.
I'd put my money on Celica.
>I'd put my money on Celica.
But that's boring.
On a LN note, apparently Oniichanyamete is going to translate some of the "She professed herself pupil of the wise man" LN. Though probably only as a small teaser regrettably.
I was surprised someone finally picked up the vampire princess one too, though only the prologue and chapter 1 is translated so far.
The text for that LN is freely available online:
I ran a few chapters through ATLAS to see what happens in the LN and it's rather similar to Log Horizon, in that the MC ends up in a fantasy world but there are still some game mechanics in place. I would have much preferred it if the story took place in an actual fantasy world instead of retaining all of the gamey elements.
It seemed to me like the story would mainly focus on MMO politics, though I can't be sure about that.
Here's the published version if that's what you're interested in:
Even if there are changes between the two, I doubt that they will affect something as fundamental as what I mentioned.
Well yeah, I'm just saying, the text for the LN is not at that link in the other post, that's the web novel version. I'm still interested in the story to see how it goes regardless though.
Fair enough. I'd probably read it if it got a translation.
Well, she started as a girl and kind of... developed?
What is my favorite? There are so many. Kanojo ni naru hi + Another, Megu Miruku, Sekainohate de Amashou, Balance Policy, Nozomu Nozomi, Remix Heart, and Ame Nochi Hare are probably my favorite non-h manga.
As for h-manga, there are too many to list. Aji Pontarou is one of my favorite gender bending artists, but I've enjoyed all of Nyotaika Paradise, Trans Panic, DATE's non-skinsuit stuff (In the Forest, Residence Prologue) and some of his skinsuit stuff, Oohashi Takura's Para Furi, Michael Keikaku, Tendo Masae's LN-based h-manga, TS Trouble, Milk Cure, Chaccu's Change of Heart, You've Got Female (Krizalid please) and a bunch of other stuff including oneshots in magazines like Comic Anthurium (pic related:
your best friend will never turn into a girl and you will never have sweet vanilla sex and lots of kissing with her after saving her from being gang raped ;_;), ongoing stuff like D-Medal, and many gender bender-focused anthologies like Seitenkan Anthology Comics and various Comic Unreal shit.
I may or may not spend too much time fapping to gender bender.
I read an H-manga long time ago which had a guy and a girl swapping bodies after falling down the stairs, the former guy then slept with the girls boyfriend, the girl had always wanted to be guy so they didn't revert back. Do you have any idea which I'm talking about? I can't find it anywhere.
