All of Tomino's shows are the same in their structural integrity. That's why G-reco is so fascinating and entertaining because here and now in 2015 we have a new anime airing which follows 70s storytelling and directing aesthetics. It's from a semi-real quote, just clearly taken horribly out of context for the purposes of shitposting like most things are on /a. He's essentially saying that he wishes he could have done more with the script and doesn't feel like he got to depict enough of the human emotion with only 26 episodes. Tomino is pretty noted as one of those few people still in anime that will say things that aren't predetermined sound bytes and say them rather bluntly and with a straight to the point attitude whether it's about his own work or somebody else's.
