Cause its Sunrise, pretty much the only studio whose catalogue and business model is geared more towards pushing its own originals as opposed to adaptations. They only seemed to be experimenting with light novels a bit for experience, but when your own properties like Love Live are way more popular than any LN adaptation there's literally no point. At no point does it become worth it to drop pretty much the hottest property on the market right now that you own to adapt some light novels owned by Kadokawa.

It sucks though cause Accel World and Horizon are like 2 of the best and enjoyable LN adaptations I've ever seen. They really seemed to give a shit doing these adaptations and were looking like they might have something going but now instead of them getting some future LN adaptations it will probably fall to the likes of A-1 or Silver Link.
