Does anyone in /a/ still like the original Naruto or has Shippuden

Most people agree it was good or at least decent enough until the end of the arc with the mist dude who had the bigass sword. The reason why most people here hate it is either they hate what its become, bandwagon hate it, or want the fanbase out of /a/.

I don't hate Naruto.
I don't think it is amazing, but its not terrible.

Naruto was my gateway anime (inb4 copypasta) so I like it. Compared to other anime however? No it really wasn't very good. If you were like me and only used to American TV (not that there aren't a few good shows out there) then it'll feel amazing. But at this point I'd never recommend it to anyone ever again.

Naruto had something decent going for it (within the scope of its target audience) some time ago, but towards the start of the 4th war arc, character development for the majority characters essentially stopped.

I dislike the later half of part 2. Pain wasn't the final villain which meant the power levels got out of control and fucked over a lot of characters.

As someone that really loves Nardo i openly admit that it's a shit animu, i don't know why but somehow it got me really invested in the characters.

It's a lot of fun to watch with siblings and friends that have a sense of humor about it.

The series peaked at the chunin exams (seriously that 1st test was one of the best concepts possible for the series) and started to go to hell after the sauce left the village. There were a couple of good moments here and there, but it never felt quite right again.

It is the only reason I ever considered Shippuden. I never got further than 20 episodes because of the amount of time it would take but honestly would anyone disagree that the side characters are awesome?

It's just too bad 2/3 main characters are complete trash and Naruto is far from perfect.
