Well there is a lot of fall out from Bahamut and the events of the series.

Time skip is so rushed and random it's hard to tell what's even going on. One scene of Kaisar being somewhere, next scene he's in completely different outfit and setting, some knights gathering, Favaro rambling about Bahamut, half the characters missing. It doesn't wrap up anything.
I could see scenario for S2 following pretty much the same 'some skewed individual seeks to unleash Bahamut' route. It wouldn't be off the bat for some interdimensional demon to find him, take out the barb and there you have it, Bahamut released.

And what I'm reading seems to indicate he's not necessarily as intelligent as how he is depicted in most media, or at not as savvy. It seems like it was his grandfather who had more cunning than him. I guess Gilles was more of a Cersei Lannister than a Tywin Lannister in real life. Capable of some cunning, and paranoid and delusional, but not really the mastermind he is depicted as in media sometimes.

Compared to the first volume bonus list seems pretty much complete, there's the book, pamphlet, commentary, codes. I'm not really expecting much more at this point. I think lack of store bonus is also going to be consistent with the first one else they'd have already listed it. There's still a month to preorder it but narrowing the window like that seems odd.
