Well, I can't say is dying, the industry seems healthy to me. However content has been stagnant forever, a good, original series pops every now and then, but is mostly just fodder for the obsessive market.

There's also the SJW issue that may endanger artistic freedom but is very unlikely to happen any time soon, so no worries.

Well there are some cute shows like Kancolle and Koufuku Graffiti which I enjoy a lot, Death Parade is really cool and interesting (was kind looking for it since Anime Mirai). Yatterman looks interesting, I have yet to catch up with it. Rolling Girls is a lotta fun, although I dropped it because I felt like it was going nowhere. There's also the previous season leftovers, Parasyte is fucking great and Aldnoah Zero seems good enough, I don't watch it though, is simply not my cup of tea. So on and so forth, everyone seems to be enjoying themselves lately.

The only thing declining faster than the quality of anime is the quality of anime fans.

It's gotten to the point that people think crap like Steins;Gate and Fate Zero are significant entries in the medium, lol. Bunch of aspies with shit taste in anime.

Why would they do that? Dating someone doesn't mean you suddenly start having the same hobbies as them. Otakus dating or having kids is absolutely irrelevant, it won't have any kind of impact on the size of the otaku population.

Furthermore, anime for normalfags and kids stop being made because they don't watch it on TV, it's the content producers following the consumers, not the other way around as some seem to imply.
