What actually happened in Darker Than Black, again? I just remember a bunch of characters doing things to awesome music.
Guys, this was a song that played during Darker Than Black. It's really cool. Like, I'd put it above some Bebop tracks.
What the fuck was going on while it played?
the first arc was good
rest was meh
season 2 could have used better character motivation
like Suo getting powers from the meteor fragment because it was her wish to be an emotionless contractor
but maintaining her humanity to explain why she still has feelings
I'm just glad it didn't become a super edgy gore-fest
Utter sadness with a touch of depression.
There was some plot about Hei's sister, the South American gate, the contractors who work MI6 trying to stop rogue contractors...but I all remember clearly is Hei being a badass and the episodes where the yakuza thug fell for the Doll.
I remember that qt girl shrinking everytime we see her untill she becomes a 6 year ol at the end of S1.
She also had to rewing time countless times to save Hei when he was still at South America.
He went from electic batman to time travel assisted batman.
Best girl won.
UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ
This was playing multiple times if I remember correctly. I think it played mostly during chase scenes or something. I should really rewatch this, it's worth it just for the soundtrack alone.
This is not how you talk about the best girl.
Hei died countless times when he was still fighting with his sister.
Ember used her powers to save him everytime. She was only going back 12/24 hours before the time of his death so it didn't cost her much.
They were also lovers iirc, so he used to trust her,
He hated her because she didn't/couldn't use her power to save his Imouto.
because she's a manipulative bitch.
I still feel bad for her.
>S2 wasn't as bad as everybody meme's it out to be
The issue aside from the show not delivering any of what made the best parts of the first one was the pants on head retarded ending.
Hei hate her because he sees her as a traitor. They all worked for the syndicate before she said "fuck it"(time travel shenanigans probably involved) and founded Evening Primrose.
The true question is : why did she go out of her way to save him so many times?
>implying you wouldn't go out of your way to save Hei
Hello operator? I think I've lost it again.
That fat opera singer was stuffing her fat face with cigarettes even though she said it doesn't have to be cigarettes specifically.
It could've been the same with Havoc, blood of children and if not available then any blood will do just so she doesn't go completely insane.
Does this look like the face of mercy?
>both on the outside and the inside
>there will never be a prequel season
>there will never be a concluding sequel season
that shit would be so easy that even I could write it.
Oh well. heroes is actually getting another season, so maybe there's hope after all
>but they don't any sweetheart to love nor do they have any girl who would sacrifice herself for them
He just wanted to be with his waifu.
Hobo Hei was great because of the comeback he makes at the end. Too bad it took the entire season for him to get his shit together.
I know. that's what so uncanny similar about the two shows among other things
DtB however, has a very easy way out to redeem itself without having to completely go back to the drawing board like Heroes does
Pretty much this. I mean, he was competent even while drinking. But you know. Magical power stealing girl and all that. He still kinda got back with his waifu
And then there was no explanation of what happened after at all
After watching the prequel (4ep. OVA), i felt like the Suou story was the filler while I was anticipating the Hei-Yin scenes. So I was buttfucked like this till the very fucking last episode.
Also Suous' magical salior moon transformation... no words describe my hatred towards it...
Oh, and btw Hei basically wasn't a Contractor... he had powers from his sister, but his character was the same as from before the fusion.
TOHSAKAH PLEASES OLD MEN F---
Pretty sure it is? If you never used your facial muscles for things like smiling and laughing your entire life, don't expect to be able to do it right on the first try.
I know a neet who has the creepiest laugh and smile, and he only spent like 2 and 3 years without social interaction.
Yeah that neet is me
Suou died when meteors fell. Suous brother awakened as a contractor with the power to make duplicates of things. Suou is a duplicate of the original Suou for the sole reason of testing if the clone could remain in existent for extended periods using the meteor fragment (necklace thing) as an anchor for her mind.
By the end of S1 Yin is shown having evolved into a state higher than a doll, and Izanami manifests in her.
By the end of S2 the organization is essentially wrecked with USA USA taking over, Shion makes a deal with Izanami and creates a duplicate world without the contractor fuckery in it. He also creates a duplicate of Yin which Izanami moves into so Hei can claim his waifu back without having to deal with Izanami.
Is duplicate Suou on the duplicated world. The Suou on S2 died when izanami broke the meteor fragment she was carrying. There's a duplicate Hei in the duplicate world who's just the chink exchange student Lii-kun doing cheap jobs in japan.
I understand where you're coming from, it's just that comparing it to playing the piano seems a bit too much. You could still move your hands, she can't even move her facial muscles.
>wanting to see that grim edge shit
>not wanting to see slice of life of suou and lii-kun on the cloned earth
>not wanting to see dat triangle drama between kirihara, suou and that collarbone lover girl going for lii-kun
He didn't have one since he wasn't a real contractor so to speak. It was his sister who was the real BK-201, I'm not sure what her renumeration was, wasn't it sleeping or something?
I remember watching this for the first time and thinking that Hei's renumeration was eating since he was eating so much.
By the way, that trap at the beginning of the second season that "stole" Hei's power, it killed his sister didn't it?
If you mean that the moment they stole his power it killed her: <spoiler>In the last episode Hei gets his powers back, so I would say, they trap his sister and his powers in the amulet.</spoiler>
>Suffice to say the ending left me a bit confused.
Not only You.
For example who the fuck is this male Yin copy?
In the end we see 2 female Yins, black and white.
We can say that the white one, the one Hei carries, is the normal Yin. But who is this black Yin? Is it the same one that wakes up as a male Yin with short hair? Why is it male? Is this the 'small difference' about which Shion was talking about? Copy changes gender? Why then other copies did not change gender? And finally is Yin alive? If not season 2 did not happen.
Pretty much, now that BONES announced all their three adaptations I'm betting their last original will be DtB for Fall 2015. Probably will have to wait until Spring/Summer for the announcement. /a/ will go fucking nuts, everyone will criticize the coming of a new season but we'll all fucking watch it anyways.
DtB S2 was a wild ride, but not the good kind.
The very beginning was weird, but intriguing.
Then it nosedives into intense cringing with that horrible dreadlocks ultrafaggot. Worst character in the series, bar none.
Then he gets left behind and the show finally becomes great again.
Then the worst ending I've ever seen in any medium happens and the entire season is retroactively burned to the ground.
I swear to God we live in the 0.00001% parallel universe where something strange happened to the writer's brain on a quantum level and he wrote this garbage.
You don't even remember Mao or Yin? Really?
Chinese batman usually had the edge in their encounters. He lost in their last encounter but he did manage to wrap his hook thingies around her so if he had his powers at the time he would've probably zapped her beautiful firm ass.
Yeah he did
I remember her having the power to phase/teleport at their first encounter, she should be able to get out of his hook thingy.
But then at the same time, at their last encounter he could have zapped her when she tied him up with her hook
Guess you always should bet on chinese batman
Just who the fuck is this bitch?
She single-handedly ruined season 2.
Holy shit how could I have forgotten about this?
She was riding that ridiculous flying car wasn't she?
Wait, actually, why did you make me remember this? Why would you do this to me?
The plot filler.
So as pic related
I knew S2 was going to be bad but I didn't know it would be this bad. Who the fuck writes this shit.
>But she drove nearly every aspect of the plot.
Yeah, by far the dumbest ability. She even could spawn only 5 bullets.
The only advantage of this would be the fact that she would not have to carry it around. But what kind of fucked up power would that be?
