Yoshida getting her just deserts was very satisfying. But Shana and Yuuji were separated and were enemies for most of the series. Their relationship and interaction with each other was the only real thing going for SnS and they went directly against that by separating them.

The LN is apparently difficult to translate, and it never boomed like Index or Haruhi. It got caught in an odd time frame, with a few western publishers picking it up then never doing anything killing what little interest in translating it there was. At least that was the last I recall.

Count me in as one of those nostalgic for Shana. It was literally one of the first series I watched fansubbed. I even enjoyed S3, mainly for the ending, that wrapped things up nicely for almost everyone.
