Post 10/10 endings.
this is my favorite manga
but I'm no sure I understood what the author was trying to make us feel with such an abrupt ending
love the art anyway
hope he'll make an other manga some time
I just don't have my entire manga folder at work so I took the picture most easily foundable = mangapanda
and the quality of the picture doesn't matter one bit in this thread
My 10/10 ending. I like how it manages to tie up all the loose ends in a single chapter.
Glad to see an author end things on his own terms.
>haha I'm so funny, I'm going to post togashit and miura stuff as ending because they are lazy trash but we still suck their dicks
Yeah we're all pissed that Baccano will not keep going through the LN but my god
Such a great ending.
It was if the show itself it would never get another season but decided the leave the viewers with a good feeling.
If this was a original anime I would have said it would be the best ending of a series of all time.
I hated it bit I loved it too. I mean, it was so sudden, and all those cliffhanger and plot twists
That month of suffering before :re was announced though
Though the end of the series proper was good too, the arc leading up to it took the wind from it's sails a bit. The goddess arc's ending was the height of the series emotionally, I'm glad we got to see it animated.
Satisfying and soul crushing. My favorite anime.
Only thing that might compare to that moment was close to the end of that white haired chick's route in Yume Miru Kusuri. It wasn't an overall amazing story, but that payout was a thing of beauty that I never would have expected, considering every other high school anime/VN/manga I've seen.
Had to reread it to figure out what the fuck happened but it was amazing. I can't think of anything Jiro has written that wasn't good.
Objectively most feel inducing finish to any series in history.
I'd never had such a good time in /a/ as I did the last few weeks of SZS.
Best Girl (all of them)
Best Best Best Best Best
I loved the humor in it, but the ending absolutely blew me out of the water. Even on the off chance that they didn't plan that out from the get go, it definitely seemed like it.
I remember some anons at the time checking and finding no contradictions and a lot of hints.
That's second to pic related.
The only successful yandere love story.
Fuckin Qualia, it was such a ride. I'm glad it had such a satisfying and sweet conclusion.
All three of these were exceptional.
Finished a few weeks ago.
Dynasty Scans has everything up to chapter 17, chapter 18 was finished and posted on here but I didn't see it posted anywhere else. There was also a letter from Yukari to Gaku at the end that was posted that is definitely required reading. All that should be in the archive.
The tears wouldn't stop
But the ending was perfect
I don't think she ever sent it. It was obviously written after the final scenes, she simply wrote it just in case something happens to her since they did say jaunt wasn't the only ones interested in her eyes. So that's a far more hopeful outlook.
But yeah that letter that pretty heavy. It was so incredibly heartfelt and sincere.
I liked the SBR ending more, but this was the best JoJo ending
Amazing Grace turned me into a crying mess. There will never be a manga quite like this again.
Still don't know anyone else who has ever read this.
sometimes the ending you earn isn't a happy one, but it's still the right one.
>yfw you realize the lights above Killy are stars
>he's the first living thing in possibly millions of years to see them
I had to sit and think about it for a a few days until I realized that there was no better way that this could have ended.
>inb4 utena was better.
That ending absolutely fucking crushes you
My personal favourite.
My second favourite.
I haven't read Transmet in ages, I should re-read it.
Pic related for another one I really liked, great way to round of the whole journey.
I don't know if I can call it a 10/10 ending, but I really liked how Fate/Zero ended.
Fucking ruining a some-what decent thread.
Fuck you and your shit-taste.
Oh god, I'm getting such feels that I'm going to have to post the last couple of pages
>not liking Hyouka's ending
That's the ultimate normalfag test.
My eyes had developed an itch by the end, so fucking good.
>liking Hyouka, at all.
I get a lot of shit for this but personally Fate/Zero's ending was 10/10.
See how flawed Kerry realize how flawed his ideals are
See Kotomine's question change from "What will give me pleasure?" into "Why does this give me pleasure?"
See Gilgamesh acknowledge Alexander.
Hear the ill made knight's final words to his king.
See Saber break.
What's not to love?
Hyouka is boring as shit. Tamako Market had more plot than Hyouka.
Wouldn't know, haven't finished Liar Game or anything else he has but yeah, One Outs is very good all the way through and the ending is pretty legit.
this girl alone made the epilogue perfect
Which one of us was it, Dr. Tenma?
I appreciated it more after a while, but I sorely needed a follow-up of similar theme and tone.
my face after reading/watching the final boss fight
Have you ever seen something and thought "If I didn't cry to this, stories are unable to make me cry?" That was pic related for me. But hot damn I came so close.
Afraid my experience is limited to the anime and Fate/Zero light novel (Shameful to admit I know).
Saw the start of UBW's remake, but I wasn't a huge fan. Pretty jarring shift in mood.
I feel like xxxHoLiC would've had a long lifespan if it had continued being episodic adventures about Watanuki
granting wishesand meeting new people instead of being so closely tied to TRC.
You should read the VN. The first route is worst by far but UBW and Heaven's Feel are top tier. It continues with the concept of what heroism actually is and fleshes out the grail war.
Also try reading the original myths if you haven't it'll flesh out your understanding out characters a lot.
>Innocent will end as horrifying as this ended sweet
I thought the ending of Narutaru was fantastic and fitting for the manga, it didn't seem rushed for me, the gradual buildup and foreshadowing throught the manga felt rewarding when all the pieces came together, it was a heavily depressing philosophical ending that made me feel like garbage but a fantastic one nonetheless.
>UBW and Heaven's Feel are top tier.
My thanks. I'm wary of more high school tropes, but I'll see if I can find them.
Especially if one entails a story arc with some semblance of karma for Grandpa Zouken...
>karma for Grandpa Zouken
Good luck with that.
Basically all the Zouken stuff in Fate/Zero was setting up Heaven's Feel.
Be warned you'll have to slog through Fate before UBW and HF. It's rife with SOL. but you can skip most of those in the following 2 arcs.
Probably my favorite ending ever
Fuck you OP. And yes, I am mad.
Fuck this shit, seriously, xxxHolic wasn't the best that what it did, in fact Pet Shop of Horrors did ten times better, but I still liked the mix of mystical SOL comedy episodes with the more serious (and at times almost horror) part of the series. And then all of a sudden the series is used as a sacrificial lamb to serve as a plot point for another Clamp series and tecnicaly still doen't have a real ending to this day. So fuck Clamp and fuck this shit ending.
Because the Grail war happened too suddenly. It was supposed to be another 50 years before the next one.
Arpeggio had a surprisingly fun ending. I blame Kongou.
>kariya was choose some days before the 4th.
and? Kariya was barely a magus who had to give his body over to crest worms in order to even qualify. The only magi in the 5th grail war he is better than is Shirou unless Caster's original master was absolute Shit.
The entire thing's a metaphor for Punpun's life. None of it actually happened. Punpun actually just really loved art, and then he became a blue collar worker, and then he quit to pursue his dreams of art and got crushed and returned to working hard to support his more talented wife who siphoned away his dreams to reach her own. That's what the entire manga represents.
>It's rife with SOL
Noted. I'm not inherently against lighthearted moments, but I'll lower my expectations to account for any tsunderes or awkward love triangles in-between the disputes over morality.
>why was not Velvet choose again for the 5th war?
He had no need for the grail anymore. His time with Rider left him fulfilled.
I feel like the manly face off between Archer and Shirou will be more than enough payoff for you. Also the last 3 days of HF.
Just wait until next season. Half of the front page will be Fate threads.
And mods/Janitors won't delete them
I still liked this ending. It felt real enough to work.
>When topics come up we shouldn't discuss them
We're 237 replies in man conversations happen
On the grand staircase?
Secondaries are the worst thing to happen to TM
yup the ending is good but is this one of those "toradora syndrome" thing?
I mean artwise or storywise there's nothing special about it
Or is it one of those "enjoyable rading with /a/" thing?
Yes, the grand staircase.
Its not even secondaries, just a lot of people not willing to keep it one damn thread.
Usually we have a normal discussion thread, then a Saber thread, a Rin thread, and throw in a Fate/Zero bait thread as well.
Harlan Ellison (the author of the short story) is a pretty based guy. He likes to pretend he is an old fart, but he is really a kid at heart.
Chech this out for exemple: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgAXCT99m0M&list=PLn5mSh00tKGGwiZ0CsZvWAzA0M2xQn8jA
I have never felt like such absolute complete shit in my life until I finished that. Fuck, not even knowing beforehand how dark it later becomes, that ending depressed me like nothing else before it.
After I finished it, I closed my computer and went outside for a long walk for the first time in years. I'd like to meet the madman that could finish the manga without being affected by the ending in any way shape or form.
Well quite frankly it's all very confusing and can be interpreted many ways.
Let's try working our way through it
Kano states that he sees no relation to big picture events yet can relate to the miniscule pieces that make up the big picture.
In saying this he states that he is isolated in this sense and becomes segregated from the rest of the community but in being able to link to another person, in effect becomes linked to the rest of that society.
Now this is where it gets hazy.
He states that in linking with you he confirms his own existence, and in you linking with him confirms his existence. It works both ways.
Make note of the fact that at the final page you take the perspective of a person sitting opposite to Kano, which in the beginning of the manga was a hallucination.
So this means either
A) Kanou lived and we're part of his zany imagination
B) Kanou 'died' and he's part of our imagination much like how Kanou had imprinted the persona of the phantom killer
how was this... after chapter 40~ i just fucking stopped. it was the first time i really liked a manga and just had everything i enjoyed killed off in one page.
i kind of want to finish it for completionist sake but god damnit...
Was a solid ending to a solid series.
Not necessarily. Human civilization exists in pockets all across the Dyson Structure. It's quite possible for humanity to exist on the outer structure of the Dyson Structure, the furthest away from any contamination sources.
But yeah, that part was definitely amazing.
If you didn't cry, you were trying really hard not to.
Fuck bait and switch tag/descriptions
Just for once in this life time, just once.
Best girl AND brown-girl WON the protag-bowl. One of the best mangas I've ever read.
>Even on the off chance that they didn't plan that out from the get go,
It was planned all along, I loved how the anime hinted at it pretty much all the time.
Going back and finding the instances where they hint at it makes SZS rewatches even more fun.
I am a fucking sucker for a good romance story. And if it is a sweet story about brother loving sister? I can barely handle it.
Fucking Koi Kaze is my favorite anime/manga of all time.
Sorry for using a mangapanda page, but I don't have the manga downloaded at the moment.
Anticlimactically. Him building the new area for the god was good. But everything leading up to it was underwhelming in the end, mostly because the MC wasn't involved in the main plot.
Focus on the MC.
Not even the best Adachi ending, which is this:
>title drop in the last few moments of the show
Author did the right thing to end it before he got trapped into messing up a good thing.
I honestly don't get why it is so hated. I mean yeah, it ruins the impact of the first manga, but that doesn't make the second one bad on its own merits. Are there any other reasons for it?
didn't realized we're doing 10/10 rage ending
I don't care what you have to say about the anime overall, but the ending was perfect.
Fuck you Shonen Jump, just fuck you.
One of my favorites series, even the ending was perfect.
Fuck the last OVA. Kenshin ended here for me.
>Those endings that make no sense from a plot or character standpoint
That ending sucked though, they didn't disclose any of the other character's fates at all.
Holy shit though, i hardly recognize half of these endings. My manga power level sucks.
Last page too lewd but 10/10 japanese X-Men Age of Apocalypse, 10 out of fucking 10.
P-People don't actually think this right?
The ending of Naruto was 11/10, because despite being a generally horrid Power of Friendship ending to a mediocre and declining series, nothing has made more Tumblrwhales cry since at least the endings of AtLA or HP.
