I like that hes literally a normal dude with the ultimate in specialized weaponry. He can block the fist of god, but a dozen normal guys with bats would wreck his shit.

Thats cool. That works. I dont need another Bleach or Naruto, where the hero gets unrealistic upgrades over the course of the plot to stay ahead. He should be fighting smarter, not better.

As far as shonens go, they almost all do something like that. So any series that does something dissimilar is immediately more interesting to me for bucking that trend. Thats why i liked Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro so much, since it totally reversed it by having the main character continuously losing power, starting by being functionally immortal and getting weaker as the series went on until he could have been killed by a simple gun (he was a demon.. kinda, longer he spent away from hell the less power he could hold onto).

Not that im saying Touma shouldnt evolve. But if Touma was to get an upgrade, itd like to see it as being in the form of tools he could use. Yknow, armor or weapons or shit like that. Maybe they could even be magical, if he could figure out how to get IB from fucking his own shit up.

Perhaps something very small, like the ability to pass a much weaker form of IB onto objects, so he could throw a rock or something and have it temporarily disrupt powers from a distance. But anything more than that i feel would take away from the character.

He is already quite durable and strong (I mean, the guy does sends people flying, already KO'ed a pro soldier with one hit). Not as fast or as Tuschimikado but that's fine because he can compensate with his precognition. He needs variety, something that would make him a threat even at range. The dragons could make that happen. It could be that the dragons augment his body already, after all.
