There were a lot more sci fi elements in the novels, one of the first ones I noticed was the device that Rubinsky used to talk ti the Terrarist leader, it was like some sort of telepathic device he used in a dark room while shouting random words to himself to activate it.

That and they can pretty much go anywhere in terms of design. LOGH novels aren't LNs they're just normal sci fi novels that were written without anime in mind. So you could have a totally different style if you wanted to without ruining the novel content.

That being said I hope the designs are the same like pic related from the DMM game.

I reckon 50. I can't see LOGH getting 110 episodes in this day and age. It does have a big fanbase but it's not big enough to warrant that many episodes. That said I'd rather see hour long OVAs once every few months.

When Reinhard was talking to Mittermeyer about Reuenthal's Rebellion and he pointed out that Reuenthal was his friend too, i couldn't help but question that. I think they've got history and Reuenthal owes him a debt, but not much else going on between them.

As it stands Bittenfeld the opera buddy was like his closest friend by the end of the series, so i hope one day we get to see more imperial friendships than just Mitttermeyer/Reuenthal and Reinhard/Kircheis

I had a similar feeling in regards to Reinhard's relationship with his admirals. I felt that was one of the reasons Reinhard's depression really set in. He hadn't any close friendship after Kircheis, leading him into his relationship with Mariendorf.

Although it'd be nice to see the Admirals being much more jovial in the readaptation, I think that it serves some purpose as a contrast to the FPA, who at many times seemed to have closer relationships, and as mentioned prior, Reinhard's depression.

Better animation and review of some of the pacing will improve the narrative.

Space battleship Yamato 2199 is an excellent example of a remake that exceeds the quality of the original.

There were limits placed upon the original story at the time caused directly by the animation. The choice of perspective and detailed character dialogue was necessary for the series.

If all goes well, there will be a little less talking, as some things will be shown rather than blatantly spelled out. A more elegant form of story-telling for a very elegant series.

Although, it could very well be completely ruined if the staff do not love their source material.

Also I never noticed before, but the Terran church actually uses Orthodox rank names rather than Catholic ones. Catholic bishops are 司教, Orthodox bishops (episkopos) are 主教, archbishops are 大司教 and 大主教 etc. As you can see, 主 is used for Orthodox clergy and 司 for Catholic clergy, but otherwise rank names are usually the same.
The Grand Bishop of the Terran Church is 総大主教, which seems to be an Orthodox variant of the Catholic Patriarch (総大司教), but modern Orthodox Patriarchs are just called 総主教. 総大主教 was apparently used in the past for the Patriarch of Constantinople (who is first among equals), though now the term 全地総主教 (Ecumenical Patriarch) is preferred.
