Wait, no thread for the new chapter?
Lets change that!
What're your thoughts Gowther being a doll? I was always quite curious to learn about what he actually was, but to be quite honest, I'm underwhelmed.
Also, quite pumped that Slader has joined them for the time being. Interested to see more of his fighting, as well as more adventures in Camelot.
>What're your thoughts Gowther being a doll?
I knew he wasn't human, and he hints at that several times with the weeb talk of his...
I don't think there's someone pulling the strings... though I could possibly see there being a 6th side (demons, humans, angels (?) fairies, giants and possibly ???)
>King gets #1 in the rankings
I highly doubt it was legit, you don't get 4x the second place votes without a vote bot. Not to forget the postcard votes ended up with a completely different top 10.
And I'm curious about the last panel of this page, does that mean there's a wizard out there stronger than Merlin?
Hard to say, she seems to recall her talk with Elizabeth enough to be angry at Meliodas for leaving her behind.
Also the Seven Deadly Sins formed after her past with King, could just be he messed with her memories more specific to the group as a whole.
>desperate backtracking to save face in spite of gross ignorance
>trying to distract from the original point of how everyone knew Gowther was a golem/doll except you.
I can see how you'd be upset at being the only one in the dark but you don't have to make it worse for yourself by trying so hard.
>how everyone knew Gowther was a golem/doll
Literally no one thought he was a doll, the closest was a golem which is nothing like a doll.
Stop talking out of your ass trying to make yourself look smarter by looking back and saying "yeah I knew that".
Gowther is just testing out her theory in the last panel here.
You'd think with all the ecchi humour she'd wear a skirt.
Does anyone else prefer Not Elizqbeth's first design?
The mismatched shoe and single stocking look really out of place.
>Hawk and Merlin are names of birds
>Merlin is greatly interested in pig and calls him "Sir", she's never this respectful to anyone else
>inb4 Hawk's first incarnation was that ancient wizard who created Gowther but he was killed before he could finish and went through the cycles of reincarnations, forgetting who he is
He's just respectful towards Merlin. Don't forget, Dawn Roar were supposed to be Sins 2.0, he just met a member of them and best mage in the world.
He's obviously gay.
>i don't feel like drawing threader anymore
Small special chapter about Gowther became even better after recent events.
His existence must be a fucking torment. He understands what he lacks but has no clue how he can understand the emotions. No wonder he becomes desperate to understand them sometimes and can harm other people while doing so. He's very different from Machine Banchou as he was complete from the very beginning.
All the blame lies on his creator who couldn't finish his work.
Indeed, but letting this and others like it onto any printing press is just fucking hilarious.
So did Fraudrin forcefully possess Dreyfus or did the two forge a pact? A host for the power to become great holy knight?
And how elusive is Fraudrin? Gowther clearly noticed his presence but when he invaded Dreyfus' mind there was no trace of Fraudrin whatsoever.
Dreyfus was unaware of Fraudrin's existence, presumably, although after Fraudrin took full control it seems that Dreyfus asked him to spare Hendricksen.
There's a theory going on that it was Dreyfus who created that large gash on the torso of the Ash Demon Hendricksen was keeping. The Ash Demon, who was presumably Fraudrin, then possessed Dreyfus then and there. Fraudrin even mentioned to the other Commandments that something happened to him that prevented him from acting immediately after he was released, so this theory might fill in that hole (Dreyfus stopped Fraudrin, but ended up getting used as a puppet).
>Gowther clearly noticed his presence but when he invaded Dreyfus' mind there was no trace of Fraudrin whatsoever.
Uh, you got the events mixed up. Gowther noticed his presence AFTER he had invaded Dreyfus' mind. As he was about to leave it, though, Fraudrin attacked him by surprise and left him in a coma-like state. Gowther knew then that there was another presence in Dreyfus' mind.
This Gowther guy sure does remind me of someone.. Cool character though. maybe i should read the manga before the anime ends
I just hope Gowther won't get the same fate.
Invasion may be the power that gave him life. Invasion seems to handle information, after all, so it could have been used to collect information from the doll's surroundings and use that collected info to animate the doll. Like a magical self-learning A.I.
I doubt. That infamous panel shows him with clothes on. We didn't even know if they kissed at all, at least it wasn't shown.
I highly doubt Guila would forgive Gowther raping her (inb4 thread derailed by a "what is raped" discussion)
Also and most importantly: Gowther doesn't have a dick.
Maybe a golem made by magic ways, these things are not magic?
>That infamous panel shows him with clothes on
>Never heard of clothed sex
>I highly doubt Guila would forgive Gowther raping her
She was pretty submissive when she forgave him. Might as well consider killing all those guys in the past as appropriate punishment.
>Gowther doesn't have a dick.
He has only no dick, when he is transformed back.
When he is full grown we don't see any other indications on his body about him being a puppet, so the.
The ambiguity of what Gowther meant by 'staining' is probably intentional.
That his clothes were on in that panel is meant to convey the idea of physical intimacy. While it may not necessarily have been a prelude to them PORKING each other, it's a strong indication of how far they've "progressed" in their relationship that Guila would let herself be held like that. It'd be like putting the cart before the horse if they haven't kissed even after moving on to that level of intimacy.
Guila can probably sympathize with Gowther to some extent; she admitted it herself to Jericho that she no longer felt guilt after drinking the demon's blood. So she's detached enough from her emotions to understand that Gowther was trying to save her. She also seems to understand that she should be punished for the sins she's committed, so that combined with her dulled emotions presents a stronger case for her forgiving Gowther in the scenario that he did fuck her. It helps that he gave her memories of Dale, who she misses.
But like I said at the beginning, the ambiguity of the meaning of "stain" was intentionally done so that you can't go one way or the other.
>Also and most importantly: Gowther doesn't have a dick.
As a doll. His normal body is just a projection, which is probably how he was able to wear his huge set of armor before.
It's a shonen. They can't explicitly say they fucked.
This is the equivalent of all those old cartoons you used to watch as a kid with adult references that you probably didn't get at the time, but probably will if someone points it out to you now that you're a dirty, dirty, dirty grown man.
Reminds me of Hunter X Hunter, in which you see a principal character go undercover as a prostitute in accordance with the main party's plan.
In the manga, you see her leaving a bed with her target on it as she spits something out
In the anime she swallows something
Ban's waifu is still dead and Gil is leaving his.
With DianexKing, Nakaba has to keep their relationship in mind while writing, be it when the sins just hang out or are in battle.
daily prayer for gowther to have a dick, not just ken doll anatomy
>The child the lady now carries in her womb is Merlin’s half-brother, we are told. But he is a fiendish child. As a baby, he sends numerous wet-nurses to their graves and tears off his mother’s nipple on the only occasion she dares to suckle him. As he grows to be a youth, hunting becomes his favourite pastime, but as he nears adulthood he prefers to roam the land with a huge sword, terrorising everybody and in particular the religious orders. He rapes with relish and then burns a convent of nuns to death. His father is so sickened by his son’s behaviour that he dies of shame.
Gowther is a doll.
A sentient one but still entire inorganic. Even if he had somehow attached a dick it still wouldn't have been much of an act.
It's like a dildo comes to life and fucks its owner in a haze. The only juices that flow are hers.
Because magic is completely incapable of giving him a dick that works.
He just can talk, can eat and everything else a human can do.
>Except you know, all the things he can't do and wanna learn about.
He still has body normal functions.
>Y'all niggas being perverted as fuck.
>Recognizing the implication of them having sex makes us pervert
What are you 12 years old?
The order I found it. Here's your Diane
Holy Knights ranks
At least 750 years old.
>1300 years old
From what i remember common fairy lifespan is 1000 years.
But he's king, obviously will live much longer.
Probably same as with demons and Mel/Estarossa/Zeldoris who are obviously direct descendants of demon king.
Because the story is focused on a conflict that is 3000 years old.
And pretty much every other character is a complete amateur compared to Mel who probably saw the downfall of an entire civilizations.
>Mfw Guila is probably the hottest girl in the series next to Diane
>Mfw they escape from the Capital of the dead and find unconscious
>Melodias doesn't strip her
You just don't understand the fabulous
Why does the mangaka sexualise the worst girls? Does anyone actually like Elizabeth? She's like Orihime and Hinata but lame which is saying alot. Also who wanted to see Jericho in her underwear?
Updated my timeline with more accurate ages:
>3000+ years ago – Meliodas born?

>1300 years old
>1300 years of the PAIN and SUFFERING ride
Just started downloading Kongou Banchou which is from the same author. I caught up with this and I love delinquent shit as well so it's two things I love combined, it can't be bad.
Elizabeth may be just a weak princess, but she's very cute and caring. If she's ever will get more active she will instantly become the best girl in whole manga.
I bet that at some point she will get memories from all her reincarnations and the first thing she will do is punching Mel in dick for molesting her for over 3000 years.
He's a fairy king and probably will live much longer.
Even if he will die in 200 years this will be the best 200 years of his life if he will actually get the chance to live with Diane.
The anime still follows the manga, but after about the fourth episode there are a couple of scenes that have been rushed, altered, or cut altogether. A-1 is after all trying to fit a 100 chapter story arc into 24 episodes
Elizabeth is generic for being royalty.
Note to self.
A female character in a story with english matter is now generic cause she's a princess for being named after The God Queen of England, Elizabeth.
>Gil is leaving his
I bet she will follow him.
Still though, something happened 10 years ago that gave him more freedom than he has previously. Probably significant since that was the same year as when Dreyfus killed Zaratras.
Anyone else likes her?
She seems fine in the boobs department.
But the original is Fantasy, the spin-off a more stereotypical school.
Also fuck you, the battle is in the main story not over and there is nothing easier for her as to let Margaret disappear.

I wonder if his "other" personality is human. He doesn't seem like he's 40 years old, his lifespan is probably extended thanks to whatever he holds inside.
Also his sacred treasure is divine axe, maybe other Escanor was a divine paladin from the goddess clan or something like that?
Not to mention there's something plain wrong with King and Elaine. They are too big and the lack wings and other elfin apperances.
It's already been sort of implied that King might not be a proper fairy, but rather something else entirely.
He was a great holy knight at least in Danafor plus obviously was a member of ten commandments at some point, and they are the top-tier handpicked order of demon beings, so he certainly has a commanding and teamworking experience.
Sins lack teamwork mostly because rules of order gave them an opportunity to be individualistic. They didn't even knew anything about each other for ten years because of the seven laws.
>Sacred Treasure - Demon Sword - Lost Vain/Lustvayne/Lost Vein
Did he ever used this thing?
He's crazy powerful with a simple fucking longsword, with demon sword he can probably murder most enemies just by full countering shit back at them once, not to mention that this thing probably enhances his hellblaze too.
>God that fucking game was retarded and he was just outright tasteless.
Don't you dare insult Shadow Hearts 2.
Given his probably above-average age, that kind of shoots down the theory of him and Elaine being half-human I've seen floating around. But something is clearly going on there.
>Use your head
How about you use yours instead?
Other than King being obviously botted to 120k votes(no, you are not a fucking genius for figuring that out, retard), the poll is pretty consistent.
If one character was botted up, what's stopping two, three or four?
And how is it pretty consistent? Compare it to the postcard poll and the results are completely different.
?/9, Hauser, Merlin (tied)
>Pfft, literally nobody likes this bitch.
>Why is she so useless/annoying?
The original poster was using her lack of popularity as a way of affirming his belief that Elizabeth is useless and/or annoying, rather than basing such a belief on actual details of her character.
What if it the name is actually Rhitta? There seems to be a Welsh story of a giant named Rhitta (also known as Rhudda).
Going by how Escanor obviously becomes gigantic when he transforms, it makes sense.
As for Meliodas' Sacred Treasure... the sound of it sounds familiar.
Both true and amusing. It'd be interesting if they got some demographics data with the votes. You can kind of assume that it was mostly kids sending in the postcards, but the online crowd is interesting.
the passages of the biblical canon that Catholicism turned into the cardinal/deadly sins we know aren't exactly the same
Obviously, the worst sin before the eyes of god is Pride- as you're holding yourself above god and fellow man.
"There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are quick to get into trouble, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who soweth discord among his bretheren."
That's not really out of the bible, but rather Dante's interpretation of the apocrypha at best (non-canonical parts of the bible...yes, such a thing exists- the biblical b-reel).
>his weapon is a divine axe
>Edinburgh was utterly destroyed by some explosion that outright melted the fucking castle
>he's active during the day and not at night
If he's not some solar-powered divine paladin i will be surprised.
Or his "night" personality tries to limit the amount of time he's active by sleeping during the day.
If at night he's shy and thinks about himself as a failure, during the day he must be a ridiculous pride embodiment who can even hurt people nearby if he thinks that they're trying to insult him or getting cocky.
Escanor's sacred treasure also uses the sun as a motif.
I can understand why Mel can fear Merlin, but why Merlin fears Mel?
Just because he can fry her on a spot if she provokes him too much and her magic won't do jack shit against him demon power?
Mutual respect of one another's capabilities. It seems pretty obvious that Merlin is a tricky one with ongoing plans, but let's not forget that Meliodas, behind his carefree outlook, has probably been waging a one man war for centuries. Plus, since Merlin knows about the Commandments, she must also know Meliodas' relation to the Demon Clan and where he stands with them. He's not just powerful; he's also a pretty competent leader (he was even the Great Holy Knight of Danafor before).
Everyone else has shown to have a specific kind of magic power, but Merlin and Vivian seem to be capable of using multiple kinds of powers. Vivian could use different kinds of elemental magic, for example, and Merlin used a Location power like the kind that one Holy Knight used to find Gowther.
They are mages, so they use a lot of various magic, while their power is probably a different thing.
I think Helbram is a good example. His power is Link, but he also uses the Enchantments. Not sure if those actually fall into being Magic, but actual magic would work like that.
>one ability, but trained to the utmost limit and combined with weapon proficiency, can dish out the highest amount of damage but limited in their specialization
>very flexible, can use multiple powers and buffs to amplify power output but in return has a generally lower direct power damage than specialized power knight, so they are more suited for support, buffing/debuffing or teleporting
She's mostly a geomancer, her physical power is just a bonus.
We need a pure str fighter, maybe berserk or paladin.
Helbram probably just used the abilities of some other knight.
I don't remember King using anything other than his special ability that is very vague, but obviously is some form of telekinesis.
It's probably possible for anyone to learn basics of magic, but they will sacrifice their primary ability if they go multiclass.
Mel's Hellblaze is a clan-specific enchantment he probably was able to use since the moment of birth, same with geomancer powers of Diane.
>I don't remember King using anything other than his special ability that is very vague, but obviously is some form of telekinesis.
I was under the impression he uses Disaster to change Chastiefol's forms, and some kind of telekinesis for moving it, himself, and a few other things.
>It could be a trait of being a fairy (Or whatever he is).
On that note, isn't "reading hearts" supposed to be another Fairy skill? Though I think we've only seen Elaine use it.
King doesn't seem capable of telekinesis. He uses it on himself and on plants, but not on anything else. The "telekinesis" we see him use is probably part of the fairies ability to control and manipulate plant life, which Elaine and Helbram have both done.
I actually read it the other way around.
That he doesn't want to make enemies with ANYONE.
But both sides could actually work with him. Maybe the both DO work with him, if his nature changes depending on the time of the day.
So, gonna get the scans from the Drawing sections of the English volumes 3, 4 and 5 (6 didn't have one) in a bit.
I'm just looking at this staggering quality.
"You're only chance of winning would be if you attacked him in his sleep"
This is almost as bad as using both Bain/Baan for Ban's name in the Byzel festival in the same volume.
I'm pretty sure there were a lot of other stupid mistaken there too that I didn't even notice.
Because I don't read the English ones often, when I know Redhawk does a better job.
And I don't really have high standards with stuff like this. I wouldn't even mind something like "Bain", despite it looking wrong, but I take an issue with the inconsistency here.
Here we go with the Drawing Knighthood scans.
These English translations tho.
"You're only chance of winning would be if you attacked him in his sleep"
"This is the face you make when you something good"
"My but bars are such boisterous places"
"The Cap'n I ought to create a knighthood where we just beat each other up"
I apologize for some of the pages being slightly ass, but oh well.
To be sort of fair, though he is disproportionate still, as he's immortal he doesn't need to maintain a healthy amount of flesh or whatever I guess.
But he should basically look like a fucking stick.
>Going by what Helbram said to Dreyfus
When did he say something like that?
I know he said called himself a lowly cardinal but it was more sarcastic and just in comparison to Dreyfuss.
You're missing some context. He's being sarcastic about him not knowing anything, not that being a cardinal is a low position. He was sincere about that. As a cardinal, he wouldn't be high up enough in the corporate ladder to know the kinds of things he does. It's just that no one else knows that he's an undead puppet of Hendricksen's with power on par with a Great Holy Knight's.
Ah man I was seriously starting to like this manga for avoiding so many cliches. I mean come on another shonen protagonist with a super powered dark side. The design isn't even that creative it feels like a rehash of Sasuke curse mark. I haven't seen a demonic side this bad since blue exorcist. Also that clueless look on his face makes him look retarded.
>I like Hinata I'm just saying that Elizabeth is like the same character archetype but done badly.
No, the difference between both is Hinata was supposed to be this strong woman who worked hard for her strength but comes off most of the time as useless anyway.
Elizabeth on the other hand was more or less useless since she is a princess without any military education, but gets some usefulness with her druid inheritance.
Mm. It looked better on Hendricksen, when Hendricksen was making demonic projections.
Given what we believe Meliodas' "proper" demon form looks like (the end of the short arc where Veronica was first introduced that showed Meliodas' huge demon shadow on a rock beside Elizabeth), let's just say that those claws are what his projections look like when he's out of his mind. They'd probably look better if he had control of his mental functions.
Does anyone here actually find Melodias's harassment of Elizabeth funny? The first time he did it I was sort of OK with it since I thought he was just a dumb kid like Goku. But then when it was revealed that he is really an old man in the body of a child it just got creepier and unfunnier. It looks like an old man harassing a teenage girl who's too stupid to fight back. In fact why doesn't Elizabeth do anything? I kind of find this tasteless for even ecchi humour and this coming from a guy who likes the perverted gags from Dragonball & Ranma 1/2. I think what balanced out the humour in those series is that it was usually an accident and there was a consequence for their action.
Running gags in shonen tend to get bad over time but this was never funny. Every time he harasses her it feels like it comes out of the blue. In comedy there needs to be some kind of build up for each gag in order to get a decent pay off.
>He compared the optical similarity
He must be comparing the concept because they look nothing alike except for black spreading across body which has been around since before Naruto existed.
The thing about the harassment, he would instantly stop if she seriously ask him. She is the only person he listens to, and if something causes her real discomfort he will avoid doing that.
But it looks like she accepts any attention from him, even this.
Part of why I like this gag so much. Elizabeth isn't even reacting cluelessly to it anymore anyway; she pretty much accepts it as a matter of course.
It helps that she's probably drawn to him, on account of probable reincarnation shenanigans. Permission to grope her is probably given freely. Even Liz got into it that one time and smushed her chest all over Meliodas.
>Mfw Diane list to King & Gowther in the popularity polls
>Please tell me she didn't lose to Elizabeth or Melodias
Mel was higher but Elizabeth was lower
>Cardinal is below Diamond and Platinum
This is surprising. Helbram was a cardinal, but he was obviously much more experienced than Hauser, who is a platinum knight, and seemed to have a higher authority over the knights.
According to the fanbook "Cardinal" is right below the Great Holy Knight, but it is more of a position than a rank. I assume that Denzel dude in charge of the Death Pierce and co. will be a Cardinal.
>Diane and King fear Escanor
>Mel and Merlin don't want to make enemies from each other
>Escanor admires both Mel and Merlin
What's the deal with all of them?
Just how scary Escanor can be if he's feared by a fucking giant and king of the fairies?
>people bitch about it
>read the manga
>its like 99% the same shit
>wonder why gowther is the sin of lust of all things
>catch up with the recent chapters
>ooooh thats why
For once a proper portrayal of having lust and not inciting lust
Oh yeah so we know the names of all the st's now? Sauce?
>read the manga
>its like 99% the same shit
That 1% is just that special, you know.
>Oh yeah so we know the names of all the st's now? Sauce?
All this info is from the recently released fanbook.
>day version of Escanor is literally a Solaire on steroids who can radiate a sun-like aura
Guess vampires were a little too cocky when they tried to block the sun with their magic. Sun just walked right into their castle.
>Here the names of the treasures, with a rough translation by Ferdinbeer (Redhawk translator):
>1. 魔剣 ロストヴェイン = Demon Sword Lost Vein? Lost Vain? Lustvayne (completely made that up)? My quick Japanese google search turned up nothing. Will look into it more when I have time. By process of elimination, Meliodas' Treasure.
>2. 聖棍 クレシューズ = Holy Rod(?) Courechouse: In French mythology, Courechouse is King Ban’s sword. The kanji 棍 could mean a range of things from fighting staff, club, to a mace. Traditionally Japanese character for this indicates a staff but given the medieval European setting, I find that unlikely. I’m guessing it’s a nun chuck.
>3. 神斧 リッタ = Divine Axe Litta: From Vampires of Edinburgh, pretty sure this is Escanor’s weapon. Litta’s up for debate, as I (with the help of a fellow staff at RH) couldn’t find anything obvious like Courechouse.
Might actually be Rhitta
>4. 明星 アルダン = Radiant Star/Morning Star Aldan: From chapter 114 it’s pretty safe to say this is Merlin’s treasure. Curious as to what other abilities it has. It must have more than just reconnaissance applications.
>5. 霊槍 シャスティフォル = Spirit Spear Chastiefol: King’s Treasure.
>6. 戦鎚 ギデオン = War Hammer Gideon: Diane’s treasure.
>7. 双弓 ハーリット= Twin Bow Herritt (obviously name still up for debate): Gowther’s treasure.
>All this info is from the recently released fanbook.
I imagine its all runes though right? So english romanizations yet?
>That 1% is just that special, you know.
It honestly felt exactly like the manga in this case. When the last time you fuckers actually ready anything before ch 70?
now THIS ive noticed from time to time
>All the blame lies on his creator who couldn't finish his work.
>He understands what he lacks but has no clue how he can understand the emotions
if it wasnt for ch 114 id say hes either a parasyte or edward scissorhands
am the only one who thought spergfucboi x magilla was cute
They cut Oslo at the start which gave some foreshadowing for the sword.
They cut Elizabeth meeting Veronica, Meliodas rescuing her, the real way Elizabeth got the necklace and the shadow on the rock.
They cut Pelio which added a human side to Gowther without making him look like a freak by having him travel around with a giant monster from the start.
And that's just off the top of my head.
oslo and veronica chapters where what ever, they probably couldve made a rushed meeting some where but otherwise i really dont see how thats important.
And as for gowther, i dont see how showing compassion for a big ass monster, at least at face value, didnt give him some humanization
I really didnt give a shit about the dog coming out of nowhere considering the show already breaks suspension of disbelief by having 10 year old looking fucker rekking manly men with a broken sword. At one point i just fucking took it for what it was
>animal shown to grow depending on threat
>grows giant and runs away
>turns out sword is the demons piece of the puzzle to unlock the demon clan from their prison
This has to be b8.
So yes, this shot from the anime. Take a look at the center knight with the cleaver.
Is this Meliodas' sacred treasure? They resemble another.
Is this an anime exlusive? Maybe a misinterpretation? Or is Mel's sword shapeshifting and beefs up?
Maybe it has been split into three like Meliodas himself?
>that demon's gate opening.
Considering it narrates the old Holy War we still don't fully know, anything is speculation. Interesting nonetheless.
Can you folks take your idiotic bickering somewhere else?
