F/P is a bunch of retarded plotpoint from the Fate Nasu wrote in Highschool.
And I mean realy retarded.
Fragments is written by some writer with absolutly no Nasu oversight and outside of the Nasuverse
The only good thing about Fate is the waifu bait.
Tsukihime has the superior world/story
KnK is one of the greatest anime of all time.
Sakura looks so much more fuckable in the Ufotable version than in the VN and DEEN Anime. The more mature look helps a lot, and Well developped bodies with school unfiroms are great.
Rider and Caster are still better tough
Prototype is just a bunch of cliff notes left from something Nasu wrote as a teenager. The pitch makes it sound like Twilight but with legendary heroes as bishonen love interests.
Fragments is a prequel story written by some other guy with minimal oversight by Nasu.
Recently read Tsukihime.
I still think Fate is objectively better. However, Tsukihime is more beautiful and moved me more.
It's kinda like...
Let's measure Tsukihime and Fate in flaws and good parts. And let's imagine it's somehow objective.
Fate will have, say, 20 good parts and 10 flaws.
Tsukihime will have, say, 50 good parts and 45 flaws.
If you substract flaws from the good parts, Fate will have 10 to Tsukihime's 5. But overall, 50 good parts is vastly superior to 20, and if you can overlook the flaws, you will overall enjoy it more.
That's kinda how it was for me.
I guess you could also say that Fate is more ambitious and polished but doesn't deliver on everything as well as it could. Tsukihime is smaller but it delivers on everything it has a lot better and has better themes, overall. It's more beautiful.
Wait, doesn't it sound kinda like the opposite of what I just said about substracting flaws?
Dunno. Whatever. I'm still kinda confused about what I think about FSN and Tsukihime, to be honest.
>forced a translation team to get their shit together and finish the damn thing
>also gave us some laughs
gamecreater16 is, truly, the ultimate hero.
It hasn't been published. There was an art book hinting at what ideas he might've had, but all of Prototype is just that and the animated short that followed up Carnival Phantasm. Then there's Fragments, which is series of light novels written by some other guy than Nasu.
I see, that's an interesting take. I've only played new VN with voices and cool animation. Going back to a voiceless and poor animation VN is a barrier same reason I haven't read F/HA yet as well.
I'm playing through FHA right now.
I guess I should too thank for that the based gamecreater16.
When I first heard his nickname I imagined him as some faggot. But I didn't understand that, truly, he was just a brilliant hero who was too busy making the universe better to bother with nicknames.
All hail the Ultimate Hero!
I hated him all through FSN, but I kinda mellowed out to him in FHA. He is really not that bad here.
I think the turning point was when Rider described Perseus as "Shinji who suceeded". It proved that in some way he really was redeemable, and that his natural traits could become strengths if tempered right. Yeah, that's kinda weird since it was told rather than shown, but for some reason it salvaged his character for me. Just a proof from the writer that he could become a hero too under some circumstances.
Though I kinda wonder what she meant. I never was so great with Greek mythology, and I wonder whether Nasu knew what the hell he was talking about here or not.
Shinji was redeemable, it's just that the grail war brought out all the bad inside of him. Once the grail war was over I'm sure that he would act much more like he did in HA. It didn't help being around Zouken and his piece of shit dad either.
That was a big part of it too.
I played the old version, not the Tsuki-Bako one, and god the engine was horrible. And I had to substitute the music for the Ever After version too.
Ironically, once I did so, I loved it, even though the original music grated on my nerves big time. Not that I listened to it for very long...
But the real reason why I love Tsukihime more is the maid routes. They are just so perfect and beautiful in everything they do... Talking about the routes here... That I was blown away.
This was the part where I've gone from tsundere for Nasu to deredere for Nasu, you could say. For some reason, during the maid routes, every single flaw turned into an advantage that only immersed me more. I'm not sure I ever enjoyed a VN as much as I did the maid routes in Tsukihime. Maybe this tells more about my experience with VNs than everything, but it's genuinely how I felt.
I'm not, it's true.
>Ufotable held a seminar at the Ritsumeikan University. Where they said if UBW sells over 100K it is guaranteed that Fate/Hollow Atraxia will get an adaptation. They're saying it's definitely guaranteed to happen at 100k, but that also implies that it's still possible should it not hit that mark.
Also knowing that they are thinking about it is good enough for me right now.
>upstart mage trying to shake the foundations upon which modern magic was built
>catalyst for his Servant is stolen
>replacement Servant NTR's him accidentaly
>never felt love for anyone before
>the person she starts actually feeling for just wants to serve a master properly and not NTR him again
>want to serve a master without NTRing him for once
>a fucking mole ensures accidental NTR
They'll never be happy.
Also, does FHA really have poor animation?
I'm playing through it right now, and besides the voices missing, I can't notice any differences.
Also, how do I git gud at Hanafuda?
>2 years after
looks redeemable to me
There's a high chance that Shinji gets killed by Zouken after trying to defend Sakura
... Dunno. I didn't really notice one way or the other, but there's pretty little fighting until Phase 4. And Shirou-Archer fight was so hype I didn't care.
I guess I just don't care much about special effects? Sorry if it's not the answer you were hoping for.
... You're probably right, but it's so hard to do.
And I probably should remember all the months too, so I could think about what cards I want to save up and what cards I can put on the board and then think if I want to take a card from the Table or wait my round by putting the card on the table.
Strategising is probably just impossible until I remember all this stuff.
Dammit. Just the worst possible game for me. But yet I want to master it, for some reason. It just looks so fun.
I barely managed to get through the game with Wasn'tInTheVN-kun, for god's sake. That's how bad I am now.
They are few and far between since it's mostly SOL, but every single one is hype to the max.
Especially the takedown of Archer. Dammit, the takedown of Archer. It has BOTH excalibur and Emiya #2 playing during it, and for good reason too. It was just awesome.
>you will never marry Iri
>you will never teach Iri about the world outside the castle
>you will never raise a beautiful daughter and a sword with Iri
Shinji...I don't get why he gets all the hate on /a/. FSN is just written to make him out as the bad guy, when really he's no worse than any of the 'protagonists' and a better person than most of them.
What are the main complaints? He raped Sakura and stole Rider to use in the war?
Okay, let's get this straight. He never fucking raped Sakura. He never did it. He never did it. He never did it. He never did it. He fucked Sakura.
Let me ask you this. WHO IN THE GAME DIDN'T FUCK SAKURA? You can't even name one fucking character who hasn't plugged her loose cunt! She is the kind of bitch who will act like she doesn't want it when she really does. She'll say No! while having multiple orgasms. Shinji knew this, he's a fucking ladies man. He knows what filthy whores like Sakura want.
And there's this other big bitch you guys have with him. He supposedly stole Rider and used her in the war for his own greed.
Objection! He was worried about his one and only precious sister. Is keeping your loved ones from a brutal war so wrong? When Shirou does the same thing to Saber it's like 'oh he's so manly', but when Shinji does it it's wrong? He just wanted to protect Sakura. He probably was going to use his Holy Grail wish to tighten her cunt back up or cure her syphilis or something.
The story was written to make that faggot Shirou look good. Objectively, Shinji is a far better character than Shirou. At least he has the balls to take action decisively instead of dicking around like Shirou, and if he weren't stuck with the weak ass servant Rider and no plothax he probably would have won the war.
>kay, let's get this straight. He never fucking raped Sakura. He never did it. He never did it. He never did it. He never did it. He fucked Sakura.
I've never seen this much denial in my life
Why do I love Shinji so much? It's pretty simple when I think about it. Shinji isn't just the best character in the series, he might just be the greatest character of all time. Just imaging him walking through Fuyuki, all the ladies swoon at his very scent. They know how he smells, the essence of his smell is sold under the the name of "Matou Orgasm." The very nature of Shinji is mystery. could he be playing a deeper game than even his creator realizes? The answer is yes, he has transcended such boundaries as the written world, and has free will to do whatever he sees fit. However, Shinji is filled with such guile, such arcane craft that he does not even use these powers. Why, you might ask? You will never know, for the mind of the Shinji is not one that is easily penetrated. Shinji is such a force of nature in his realm that nothing can truly touch him, the only thing keeping him bound to the page at all is his will to exist within the preordained boundaries of his world. Shinji is not only beyond the comprehension of us, he exists within a plane of true focus and beauty. Observe his playful smile, his gourgeous and rippling biceps, his gallant nose, and most importantly, his eyes. His eyes, like pools of sapphire, provide the only glimpse into the true machinations of Shinji. Do not stare into them. Many good men have gone mad in the attempt. Shinji is not just a character, a formless collection of words and images, he is himself is the binding that holds the saga together. Without Shinji, the entire Fate series as we know them crumbles.
These are just of a few of the reasons why I like Shinji so much.
Originally it was supposed to be first Type-Moon's VN not written by Nasu. Now it's anime original project by Ufotable.
Story is centered around city that looks like "fusion of Shinjuku and Paris. And main heroine is some kind of guardian spirit of this city.
Nasu makes a point of saying just about everywhere how magic is innately really dangerous and not really useful in everyday life at all. HGW and Two Shikis Accident were probably kind of a borderline case, but still, magic in Nasuverse is not something that you use lightly.
It probably has to do with the fact that even doing it is ultimately connected to screwing with the Root, probably.
I'm really just waiting for the comments on this to raise ny Nasulore level.
Shiki was a rape-machine. Wherever he went, he needed also rape. We can't hold something integral to his very nature against him
Fate/Stay Night is a gateway eroge of the worst kind. It's a bad game, a clusterfuck of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive waify faggotry and DARKNESS. The normal anon can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the franchise itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad.
However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of its core make it a breeding ground for aspie, unsociable underageb& faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The superpowered characters all trying their hardest to look cool, the noble phantasms, peculiar, colorful clothes, the whole servants faggotry and everything about the Fate/Stay Night world fuels their escapist fantasies, while the pity-party character backgrounds, emphasis on heroism, and overall preachiness of the series make it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average preteen and his sense of unwarranted self-importance towards the world. Exactly the kind of shit that makes little kiddies and underageb& retards eat this shit right the fuck up.
Fate/Stay Night is basically THE franchise to attract the most hated anime fanbase known to /a/, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every anon to troll the fuck out of this show and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no Fate/Stay Night threads ever encourage the newfriends to show their faces here.
The thing is Fate/Stay Night is a magnet for idiots who don't even know how to discuss something properly nor did they watch a lot of series to have a better taste. Why is Gaia considered shit? Because most of their threads are about Fate/Stay Night or Twilight. Sure I wouldn't care if it was a one thread with normal posts and spelling but most threads are something like:"Saber is uber kawaii i am going to cosplay Kotomine at school gambatte" Having more Fate/Stay Night threads here lures those kind of people who know about 4chan because of "funny images and jokes" and they usually ignore global rule about being underage. Do you see Japanese 2chan anime board having endless discussions and fanwanking about Fate/Stay Night? No, Because they think its a silly show for children.
It's stupid, it's full of plotholes, it's littered with characters that are just plain HORRIBLE, the fanbase is on par with the twilight and avatar one, atrocious fanshippers who watch the stuff only to see which girl will the protagonist that is irrefutably gay fuck first, extremely undeveloped characters and a utterly ridiculous anti hero who's lifeline is deus ex machina, actually, 98% of characters rely on that because Type-Moon can't write above anything what a caveman with a club lodged up his prehistoric anus could.
Also did i mention it's very yaoi'ish, thus attracting fujoshi and white knights who follow them, mouthbreathers and faggots? It also attracts ADHD children, which, no matter how much your mother told you to respect the sick, are not wanted on /a/ and should just die off like the waste of resources they are.
It's also the exactly same shit as Naruto just in another setting.
I'm a slowpoke. I just finished reading the Fate route(will start UBW in a moment) and I don't get why people say that Gil is incompetent or jobs or whatever. I don't see what he could have done against the sheath at that point.
>ultimately connected to screwing with the Root, probably.
Magic comes from the root, it doesn't screw with it in any way.
It's dangerous in the sense that you pretty much add "things" to your body that were never meant to be there. Plus the "other magus might kill me anytime for any reason" factor
It's ironic that your argument is kinda completely valid in-universe.
I don't really remember ever having this kind of impulses that just turns your brain off, so I sometimes wonder if it's exaggeration by Nasu, something having to do with "supernatural genetics" part or I just was born with good impulse control and other people too feel like that once in a while. Or if I just didn't live long enough to experience something like this.
>First True Magic
One of the oldest True Magics but the details about it are unknown. What it involves appears to be common knowledge to some magi of privileged rank. The user of the First has already passed away, but it is said that the person that would be his heir [the descendant or disciple kind] is still alive, barely.
I wonder who that could be.
A better question: why is Nasu not writing anything new, not connecte to Fate and Tsukihime in any way but still in Nasuverse?
I kinda hope somebody will come out and say I'm wrong here.
Rin also says that magi are able to use magic far above their level. The analogy between electric and magical circuits seems quite good, even everyday house electrical stuff can kill you.
Magic is like electricity and magi conduct magic.
What if you offered them to take part in it themselves?
I personally would be pretty tired out by attempt 432 and wanting to just get it over with quickly, since she's obviously not dying.
Had one friend in Zero that got killed, though she managed to save her in the anime.
Is friends, though more of a rival, with Ayako and occasionally hang outs with Makidera on weekends. She's in good terms with the track team trio.
Despite her being pretty much THE quirky Peanuts Gallery girl stereotype and completely unimportant, I actually kinda liked her for some reason.
Probably because of the Eclipse scene. Getting into her head was pretty fun.
High quality top tier studios, they don't releases as frequently as every other studio always spending a lot of time in production. Girls Work = FO4. When they do release stuff it's always a big hit.
:^) is pretty much the "I'm baiting" smiley. I think it's tolerated only because it's used ironically.
;_;, on the other hand seems completely genuine. I sometimes kinda wonder how did it manage to survive. Probably because of spoilers; they make it look like anon is showing his weak smiley-using side.
>Urobuchi: There was probably something at the time of Rin's birth that caused fear that she would die prematurely. So Tokiomi panicked and he and Aoi-san went for one more se(rest omitted)
His thoughts were well in place. He couldn't have her around - her talent was too great to just be abandoned - and he can't teach two kids magic either.
Because of her talent she'd be targeted by people who wanted to take advantage of it if she wasn't actually trained in magic.
Unfortunately Zouken isn't the greatest guy around so all that happened.
Hey, he was being helpful. Toki wanted some help, Zouken gave him some help. His son wanted some help, Zouken gave him some help. They're all just whiny despite this old man going out of his way to help them out.
If you believe FHA, she apparently had friends to lose to Kaleidostick screwing with her.
But it could be just acquaintances.
It could be pretty funny if turns out the reason she doesn't have much friends is because she never bothered to make new ones after the Kaleidostick incident.
That analogy makes no sense no matter how you look at it. Bethesda games are garbage without the players adding in their own shit that they made. Ufo's flashy lights are all done by the studio itself.
I'm pretty sure he gave Sakura TO Zouken
Even still, it's not like he knows what happens inside that place, and this is a guy who puts magic over his very own life. He thought his kid would be absolutely delighted to get to learn magic, even if it wasn't from her own family.
But what about art and making something new and original? What about broadening the horizons of what we know?
What about using the experience he got from writing Fate and Tsukihime to write something as good again?
From Tokiomi's point of view, reaching the root is the absolute goal life, which is why he thinks that learning magic is a gift. But for a child such as Sakura who had probably never heard of the root or even magic before it didn't make any sense at all. In other words he didn't consider her feelings at all.
He thought she'd get raised by a family of magus, and they all supposedly should strive for the root.
Zouken doesn't because of his soul amnesia though, but it's not like everyone knows he has that.
