I think "realistic" looking series work better as shows. Kuragehime and Usagi Drop worked because the stories were normal and they had natural designs.

I'm Korean and I can tell apart a Korean from a Japanese or Chinese, but I can't if I 'm trying to figure out a French from an American (apart from stereotypes). I could imagine a Suicide Island TV show being good.

I figure a lot of the shoujo slice-of-life manga I read would translate well to a live-action. E.g. Taiyou no Ie.

Then there's some stuff that I'd really like to see as a live-action but I can't see happening because they would require a high budget, good direction, good actors, etc. E.g. Freesia, or maybe 7 Seeds.

Some harem show would be weird one to see.
