More importantly can someone please explain to me the POINT of the show? Is it along the lines of cute arbiters doing cute things?

There's no "moral of the story" at the conclusion of every "story". It's just:

The stories are standalone and the reoccurring characters hardly get any development.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching it but every time I finish an episode I look back and go "OK, so?"

Nigger, these shows are written by at best middle of the barrel writers, more likely bottom of the barrel. They aren't from Hollywood, they don't take 8 university courses on how to construct stories, they aren't paid hundreds of thousands of dollars, and they don't have a dozen editors that search their story over 20 times for inconsistencies and errors.

Anime is typically a rush job with a low budget, if you enjoy anime you're probably gonna have to be a tad more lenient.

You realize people go to classes at universities to understand how to better construct stories, right? We aren't talking about grammar, we are talking plot construction, how to handle character development, how to pace a story, how to structure your story into acts properly and shit like that.

Also having editors can make a big difference in quality of writing. An author is bound to make a few plot inconsistencies, nonsensical character behaviors, plot holes and whatever. Having some good editors really look through your work over 30 times to find shit that doesn't make sense can actually save a TV show, movie or anime. Hell, Star Wars was salvaged by the editors.

Despite all the production quality, I find it quite boring. The recent episodes doesn't help either, the only good conflict we had was episode 1 and that's it.

Because the freshness and shock value has worn off and you realize the show simply doesn't have anything other than "Don't cheat on you're waifus if you don't wanna end up like Makoto in School days".

They don't have every single memory from them, or rather they get the memories so quickly that they lose detail.

Like Decim said it's more like a kaleidoscope rather than just straight getting all of the memories.

It apparently helps the arbiters form a judgement more based on the game but still keeping their previous lives in mind when making the decision
