Thanks man but even still, I would like to learn it I just have to find some way of maintaining motivation. The main reason is because I have a backlog of Japanese games that I want to experience cause I know they'll never reach the shelves of the West.

I know that I have the capability to change, i know i have the potential to reach satisfaction, but knowing doesn't provide me with the motivation to go do it. Alas, the immediate satisfaction of fast food, video games, and anime fuels my everyday life more than any eventual result of success would.
However, at the end of the day, this lifestyle of mine never changes because I am satisfied with my friends, my family, and my current role in life. I am not a leech, yet I don't provide for others. I am not a loser, yet I am not well-known. I am normal, and I'm ok with that.

Anime serves as my escapist reality to not deal with anything, because I can just say "I'll work on it tomorrow" if I just spend any and all free/productive time on anime/vidya/manga.

I've tried a lot of things. The only thing that I have been able to take to sleep and not also build up enough tolerance that I can't sleep while using it is heroin.
Unfortunately, it feels too good to want to sleep and 'waste it'. It's also illegal and other opioids are typically not strong enough to help much.
I don't particularly exhibit obsessive compulsions but I've been diagnosed with type 1 bipolar with mixed episodes for a while now.

Something I could recommend you as a sleep aid that doesn't build up too much tolerance is Valerian Root extract. You can usually get some at your local drug store in the supplements section.
It acts kind of like valium and can help people with nervous or anxiety disorders, especially when trying to get to sleep, it will help to stop racing thoughts and is a mild hypnotic. I use it every now and then.
