Hello /a/nons. What are you listening to on this Valentine's day?
Not exactly what you'd think of on Valentine's day, but it's a nice song to sip to.
What can be sweeter, than HanaKana on Valentine day? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4_8DNaswNI
So, what are you drinking tonight?
Don't get me wrong, I love me some Chet Baker, but we are on /a/ after all.
How bout this then?
Who is this Lawrell you speak of?
All of his album releases are the perfect background music for me. I really like to read and listen to them.
He's fucking dead and I'll never get new music from him.
No liquor for now, we're all a bunch of lonely bastards but it is still too early to cry.
Did you know that there's going to be a commemorative concert on February 26th? It'll mark his 5th death anniversary. I think Shing02 is organizing it.
You can post some if you want, as long as you contribute to this thread with nice mus/a/k.
I also like to listen to sme tracks from Arakawa under the Bridge if I want to get hype. Something like this.
Kinda cool that there are some of his old friends that do this stuff for him but on the other hand I can't get it out of my head that they're still milking Nujabes with commemoratives and "old unreleased stuff" that was probably just made.
season 3 never
Well, Aria got another one, so you never know.
That's actually the same artist, Tenmon. He's worked with Makoto Shinkai a lot. He also made music for the ef series and some 2hu arrangements, though I honestly haven't listened to these yet.
Check out Kashiwa Daisuke's stuff if you liked Kotonoha no Niwa's OST, too.
This VN was damn sad. Already /r/'d
The opening from Death Parade. I'll listen to this webm until the full release.
I kinda like their other songs too.
A good song to listen to while you're spending quality time with you're waifu.
sure is a nice day to stay inside listening to weeb music and not going on a journey
Some songs from Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom were good too. Sadly I didn't like what they did with Cal
Creating a playlist to accompany your journey is actually really nice. Try listening to
on a stormy day.
Thanks anon. Could've sworn this was from the NieR OST, though...
I'm going to get shitfaced too.
Enjoyed the stream
Even if the Vision of Escaflowne had a somewhat meh ending I still listen to a lot of songs from it.
I believe they had a lot of fun with this song too.
Was a nice surprise to find this in the Haibane OST. I love that soundtrack.
My nigga. I've been listening to his piano works and that one album called 1996 for years now, but for some reason never thought of getting any more than that. What do you recommend?
Pretty nice song. I only listened to the Paprika OST that he did and Forces from the Beserk anime. Thanks for giving me something new.
Ain't exactly par for the course for Valentines, but it's a love song nonetheless.
After all, what's more romantic than saying fuck you to the world and dying with your lover?
The opening from The House of Five Leaves
Susumu Hirasawa was fairly prolific before doing soundtracks. Tends to be hit-or-miss due to the experimental nature of his music, though.
Here's another one that's good for a journey.
You could've at least posted Marionette!
This ain't a SZS thread, you sure you want to start up that war over best OP and ED mate?
>implying https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDL6Q4aJH6I is better than https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNlA0dvvKGc
First Zoku ED had interesting visuals, but Marionette is so damn catchy.
Also Zessei Bijin best ED, fight me.
>implying Marionette is better than Koiji Romanesque
B-but it is and I'm not even the anon you are replying to.
I know you will call me out on my shit taste. Also Bure>Rumba>Ringo
I agree. Does anyone have *that* gif, though? The one about the three OPs.
You made me do this.
* Full OST can [probably] be found between:
If you know of a higher quality collection/channel/version, please tell me of it so I can add to this.
I find it funny that, despite the thread hijack, this is still all love-related. Rumba Rap > Ringo > Bure > Rumba Kiri best girl.
Oh man, that's awesome. Thanks, I'll have to check that out later, though.
Now I feel like rewatching it...
Abiru sexiest, Ai is OLEV.
>escaflowne has Italian banter in it
>by Yoko Kanno
>What planet is this from Cowboy Bebop has Italian dudes saying "dove la mettiamo?" "attenzione"
>by Yoko Kanno
Can anyone explain this?
Both Ooshima Michiru and Yoko Kanno seem to really like foreign languages. Maybe because they can afford to pay for singers outside of Japan...
Does it have to be /a/ related?
'Cuz I'm listening to this
So, which OSTs did you guys like recently?
I listened to Shigatsu today an really liked it, if only the tracks weren't that short.
Very recently listened to Ristorante Paradiso's OST. The series didn't click with me as much as the music did - I discovered I'm a sucker for clarinet+guitar+violin
Thanks anon, it took a lot of time to scour YouTube to find these songs, good to know that time wasn't wasted.
Now, to get back on topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLjT89nANvU
Much more appropriate for a lazy Valentine's Day.
Been a while, Lawrell, but nice seeing/hearing you again!
I can neither confirm or deny that I am this Lawrell person, but I'm glad to see you again!
I don't know about you guys, but it's bloody cold here, and cold weather always makes me think of this song:
>Not listening to madrigals with your waifu
Ungland 6 was released today. The theme is anime or japanese culture inspired music.
I wish I had a waifu. I'm not even good enough for 2D characters. I guess that's natural, since they are perfection.
>Sorry, bout your princess is in another dimension
Doesn't hurt to try!
That nya always makes my heart go doki doki.
Moe jazz a best.
I didn't mean to upload that picture, here's a better neko.
There's something about wedding dresses that I find inherently beautiful, even if not interested in marriage
I never celebrated this but I would make you some if I knew you irl not Lawrell person.
Isn't it not allowed on here? Or did that get relaxed finally? I remember moderators deleting those threads before, but if it's changed, then my bad.
Because I hate bumping without posting music : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iQDdsteSr0
People have often picked up Nujabes because of Champloo, but what about Fat Jon and Force of Nature, the other two collaborators on the OST? And by OST I mean background music.
Vinyl? I have no idea. But anyone who likes Deadringer is my nigga in my book.
It's all a dream, anon.
Yeah, I already have all of it. I just meant that people start to discover Nujabes' non-Champloo music, but don't necessarily discover Fat Jon's or Force of Nature, which is a shame. Well, to be honest, I haven't listened to FoN that much, but Fat Jon is extremely relaxing music. Much more influenced by ambient music.
>She sends me blue valentines....
Liking Nozaki-kun goes without saying, but did anyone else actually like the B-side OP like myself?
It will probably get deleted soon. ;_;
I know, I accidentally hit the V instead of the B. I noticed after I posted, so I was hoping it'd slide on by unnoticed afterwards, but I guess not.
Do any of you know that one song that plays in the backround in Gamblers and Gallantry, when Jin is cooking the eel? I've been trying to find that piece of OST for a while.
Not anime-related whatsoever, but two masterpiece albums.
Better downloaded and listened to in FLAC, can provide links if anyone is interested.
>Epitome of sound
>Not a masterpiece
My taste is only subjective, but I can't see anyone disliking these albums if they like the genre. If you don't like metal that's perfectly fine.
It's my preference so it's what I'm listening to.
If you're looking for something comfy, this fits the bill, albeit with a bit of a melancholy tone.
I know taste is subjective, a 'masterpiece' in music is subjective to the listener for the most part, but productions techniques can also be used to call something a masterpiece. Also what you posted is pretty comfy, although it's nowhere near the comfiest.
There's nothing wrong with having Any may for a hobby is there?
Anime, need you night and day, anime
Now this is a love song
The only man I would go hard gay for
RIP in piece sweet prince ;_;
What are some tracks you'd consider comfy?
Here are the links:
Ne Obliviscaris: http://en.metal-tracker.com/torrents/132822.html
You have to make an account on the site to download, but it's free and it only takes a few seconds. There aren't any strict seeding rules or anything, and if you like the genre, you'll be able to find stuff you like on here.
Insomnium FLAC will take a bit due to a lack of seeders, but there's a 2 CD limited edition version on there that is well seeded if you'd prefer it.
Just a few of my comfy selections.
Hey fucks. I'll be, uhh, "sharing music" next.
If you've forgotten who I am, I'm the sexy deep voice guy. If you want me to say something FOR YOU on air, just give me a shout.
I'll be "sharing" mainly dancey shit to start, then we'll get real chill (expect a special Nujabes selection for Valiumtimes), then we're gonna rock it out afterwards, all in the name of Vaselinetines.
Look forward to it!
B-But I am home.
>not "titty sprinkles"
Gonna need names for all these shout-outs though.
To direct the shout-out to you specifically, silly. Don't you want me to say your name sexily, too?
It'll be for Andrea then. She better be listening.
It's official, I have a pretty shitty Old Fashioned.
Ok Peter. All you get is Peter.
Thanks for keeping me company rapemachine. I haven't even been able to finish the bottle, but at least I feel pretty good now.
Check da field.
Aye aye Cap't.
Has probably nothing to do with valentines day at all.
Was never aware of this song until I saw this:
He's a one man band who just got signed up on a major label. He'll be fine.
