All in all i don't like any of them, really.

They really aren't as good as the earlier designs. Sometimes if you can't top an original look, it's best to just leave it alone. We see this frequently with post-timeskip designs that end up being more boring, or just less interesting than the originals.

Hey guys, I've been reading for a couple of years now that the original game was crap gameplay wise and that aspect of the only got fixed in mk2, care to name some examples on why the gameplay was frowned upon? I only played a bit of mk2 and finished V like almost a year ago but playing Rebirth is a really nice experience and it even made me rewatch the anime even though it wasn't really as cute as the video games, And now I want to play the original first three games like the other guy said already, but considering that a lot of people dislike the first game makes me worry about ruining my experience with this beautiful franchise, and since even Rebirth 3 is a posibility, I might as well just wait for them instead of borrowing a ps3. Is this the best decision? or should I just grab mk2 already and finish it as soon as possible?

Honestly I think the dub overall is well done, it helps that by this point all the girls know their characters since they've kept the dub voices consistent. I suppose the reason (besides it not being bad) that I keep the dub on is why I wish Tales of Hearts R had a dub: when I can read the localized text and I can actively tell that's what's not being said in Japanese (admittedly Tales is much better about this, but they do change names a lot, so I hear Shing when I read Kor), it tends to create a bit of a dissonance.

I'll admit they weren't always good, the original Neptunia was all over the place, as was Mk 2. Victory was ok, and I think Rebirth finally has it down. I heard it's because the voice directors give really different direction with each game, which goes a long way in affecting performance.
