I find the bath scene to be extremely memorable, and it's not even because of the fanservice. They discuss and prospect their fate, which I find more interesting than Shinobu being Shinobu cute.
Don't get me wrong, kabuki is entertaining, but it didn't really tell us anything that we didn't know by then.

In Kizu all the shit went down, but it just kind of happened.

That went into Bake where they had a really strained relationship, as denoted by the fact that they were separated. It wasn't until near the end/at the end where Shinobu shows up to save Rararagi and hang out in his shadow.

Going into Nise, they talked about how they were forced to be together, and to just act 'mature' about it, but they both stated they still hated each other. They 'accepted' each other, and figured it'd be in their best interests to work together, but there was still animosity.

Then, come Kabuki, the two were playing around at the beginning, "Hey, you want to travel through time?" Following that, Shinobu was just being a cute throughout the entire thing. The "true" state of their relationship didn't show until alternate-Kiss Shot asked rararagi to pet her head.

Of course, before Kabuki, we had the part where Araragi kisses Shinobu. But it wasn't really until the time arc where everything was kind of defined for sure.

Then again, that's just me.
