I'm off work for a week I want to start this. I've been lurking Monogatari threads for a while and it caught my interest so I'll give it a shot. I'm going to watch it in release order by the way.
Snail looks like best.
She is the best.
Now get out of here before
Nagisa diesyou get spoiled.
Snail is great, but she gets edged out of the top spot when Shinobu decides to stop pouting.
I find the bath scene to be extremely memorable, and it's not even because of the fanservice. They discuss and prospect their fate, which I find more interesting than Shinobu being Shinobu cute.
Don't get me wrong, kabuki is entertaining, but it didn't really tell us anything that we didn't know by then.
No? I felt it solidified precisely that. They talked about their fate in Nise, but that was it - it was still speculation.
Kabuki sealed the deal and let us, and probably even them, know exactly where the two stand.
(Spoilers because OP is slow)
all the shit went down, but it just kind of happened.
That went into Bake where
they had a really strained relationship, as denoted by the fact that they were separated. It wasn't until near the end/at the end where Shinobu shows up to save Rararagi and hang out in his shadow.
Going into Nise,
they talked about how they were forced to be together, and to just act 'mature' about it, but they both stated they still hated each other. They 'accepted' each other, and figured it'd be in their best interests to work together, but there was still animosity.
Then, come Kabuki,
the two were playing around at the beginning, "Hey, you want to travel through time?" Following that, Shinobu was just being a cute throughout the entire thing. The "true" state of their relationship didn't show until alternate-Kiss Shot asked rararagi to pet her head.
Of course, before Kabuki, we had
the part where Araragi kisses Shinobu. But it wasn't really until the time arc where everything was kind of defined for sure.
Then again, that's just me.
Is Bake-mon-ogatari the only one which is a play on words? Or all they all? My Japanese is weak.
"Are you Italian?"
That was a combo of sad and extremely cute.
Well I guess we know Shinobu doesn't like people standing on her head.
She really jumps on that, doesn't she? Proactive girl.
>"Are you Italian?"
I mentioned that. I'm just saying it isn't until Kabuki that we know to what extent their relationship reaches
She destroys the world without Araragi patting her head - that's pretty intense.
My only thing with that is that she can go back to it whenever. She just has to
kill the ragi. She may not be as strong as before, but she still has the potential to be.
It's the difference between making fun of a wingless bat and a caged bat. You can't grow your wings back, but if it's just in a cage, then they have the capacity to get out.
Of course she wouldn't, but if something were to happen to him...
Neither can I.
I envy OP. I'd give quite a bit to be able to go back and marathon the series for the first time.
Continuing on that point, in Kabuki, didn't
Meme say that he and the rest of his motley crew tried to stop Kiss Shot? Didn't they lose? Doll and her Tamer included?
I hope more of the LNs get translated. The first half of Kabuki is, and she's infinitely cuter in the LNs than in the anime. The anime did her no justice.
But they are, at least Araragi's story is done
Yes, though I don't know if that's entirely accurate as to how powerful Kiss-Shot was before the series. The entire world started to acknowledge her existence as a vampire after she went on her killing spree, so there's a decent chance she got stronger from that.
Kabuki's adaptation is the worst adaptation in the series

If they added just 1 more episode, I think it would've come out great.
All I'm saying is that the pride she's holding on to isn't out of place - and the others should stop bullying.
>if something were to happen to him...
There's a reason that Shinobu has started actively reigning Araragi in whenever he's about to do something stupid.
Bullied Shinobu is adorable. It's nice to know she can get sad honestly after seeing her suicidally depressed and huddled in a corner during Bake.
I've looked at a lot of Bat Art that's out there.
Apparently artists like fucking her and shoving donuts in her mouth.
>This kind of indulgence from fan artists
Pretty much Shinobu dopamine release.
I like seeing her in full smug mode.
>"Are you Italian?"
>mfw I am
>mfw I will never
