I have 4 suggestions, producer-anon-kuns:

1. Yuri anime of 2 high school girls falling in love. SoL. Beach episodes. Confession during matsuri. Awkward onsen episode.

To fix yuri you must first fix the execution of romance. Now I don't know if this little bit has been reduced to a mini pasta like that "the point of the romance genre is to self insert" shit that drives me crazy, but I don't see much argument against the opinion that romance alone honestly can't universally carry a story without inevitably becoming a chore if it's just typical SoL. This is at the absolute worst in yuri in which everything is grounded (personally, I'd say trapped) in a shitty "realistic" setting with nothing colorful to appeal to the market. Now, I know "harem"shit is a core of anime, but there has to be reasons it sells other than the girls drooling after a shitty cardboard cutout that only dreams it could one day live in hallowed legend like the hero of harem, Harem King Sugisaki Ken. You couldn't make "harem"shit successful if it were grim and depressing overall no matter how bubbly you made the girls. Yuri needs more fucking fun and focus on creation fleshed out entertaining characters rather than going crazy with drama.

There does need to be more male characters that are there to add more color to the cast. Side characters don't need real purpose, they're just there. To anyone who would cry foul at this, falling for one of the girls or the other way around is not obligatory. I could easily think of a minimum of 3 different characters you could add to that would pose no threat to yuri; a completely normal guy who just shows no interest in dating, but isn't retarded and dense, a lovable clown who tries to be a good friend and is a passionate yurifag, and a somewhat quiet faggot you'd have to wonder how they're friends with who likes to narrow his eyes and adjust his glasses any time something stupid or irrational happens.

Dragon's Dogma if you play as a lesbian. If you do the duchess sidequest you can even princess-carry her during the rescue. And naturally there's a bit where you can rescue your love interest from a dragon.

There's also Embric of Wulfhammer's Castle, an actually pretty top-tier RPGMaker game which was made with /u/ and /tg/ in mind.

Eien no Filena, first a light novel, then a video game on the SNES. More heroic fantasy than high fantasy, but heck, main girl is a gladiator who's awarded a concubine and their attachment to each other only grows.

There's also the various "It's the Sengoku era/Romance of the Three Kingdoms but we gender flipped everyone and gave them superpowers and shit" which isn't quite high fantasy in the western sentiment, but shit, you can't be picky.

Personally, yuri or not, I'm wary of any anime in the realm of fantasy until the anime industry gets over its fetish for boilerplate light novels.
