How would that even work?
why would anyone want to use modern tanks in Senshado?
The GuP threads last year after the OVA's release talked about this a bit and apparently 12.7mm would actually be sufficient to penetrate or immobilize every tank in Ooarai's lineup from certain angles and ranges. The Type 89 could actually be penetrated at ANY angle.
That's what an IFV is faggot. An APC with big guns. Pic related is a tank.
maybe they can shoot through the view ports and into the crew or shoot through the gun barrel and detonate a round inside.
but other than that, You'd probably need 20mm cannons to shoot through the hull on the Panzer 4 and the Stug 3
even rifle-caliber MGs can do the trick, as WW2 tankers fouind that a good burst at pointblank with AP ammo could hope to penetrate 15-20mm (aprox.) with some of the rounds. And almost every Oarai tank had osme area with less than 20mm armor at that point of the storyline (agreed, the StuG III would need a belly defilade hit - but that IS a legit tankette-vs-tank tactic, mind you)
This guy knows the difference.
Learn the difference, know the difference. It could save your life.
The Panzer III and Stug III went as low as 30mm on the sides and rear, and there were subsections which were thinner, so sustained fire from inside the closest range could conceivably damage the tank
The most bullshit part of the OVA is the type 89, which had a maximum of 17mm steel armor and should have been penned a hundred times by Pepperoni's CVs
>How would that even work?
Little girls in an Abrams engaging enemy Eastern type tanks
TARGET, NINE O'CLOCK, TANK, ONE-THOUSAND SIX METERS!
GUNNER; SABOT, ENGAGE!
ON THE WAY!
AAARRRHHHGHH WE ARE HIT BAIL OUT BAIL OUT OHH THAT BURNS AAAAAHH!!!!!
Having been hit by a beam riding missile from five kilometers that blew their entire munitions storage and set ablaze the inside of their tank, all little girls died in a fire.
Do not fuck with Eastern tanks.
Only if we have modern planes too.
They are Carriers, APCarrier, they are big for transporting units. IFV are generally smaller (only ~3 people inside can fit) and are equiped with more weaponry than APCs, since they are more suited for IFightingV
Both of those are LAV-25's, one is an anti tank configuration and the other is an IFV.
The distinction between an APC and IFV is one is armed and meant to fight with its soldiers while the other might have a machine gun for self defense at best.
>I have never heard of armor warfare because I been living under Serb's rock
I copy-pasted the actual (selectable) text of the PDF on Google Translate, just for fun.
That's what I got:
Tea over chill in the side Once received the shelling lot 撒 tilde and bitter'm this remains USS Saidor (CVE-117)
A new tea 汲 Romuu~eru
Literally what. the. fucking. fuck, Google?
>Hōgeki o uketara sono hen ni CHAACHIRU takusan MACHIRUDA konomama ja KUSEIDAA
>atarashī ocha o KUROMUUERU
It's impossible to translate correctly into English, because teh joke is that Assam managed to make aseemingky "deep" line about tea by stringing together Japanese words that sound like English tanks (Churchill, Matilda, crusader, Cromwell).
Unless someone manages to do a similar punstorm in English, this one is translator notes fooder...
When War Thunder made their tank game, they decided to take their own route and be as original as they could. As fucked up as their tiering system is, i like the game because it is the first of its kind.
Armored warfare on the other hand, is an EXACT replica of World of Tanks, except with modern tanks. and even though they are using a different engine (cryengine), they managed to make the game look almost exactly like WoT.
the only major problems with WT is the absolutely retarded tiering system, and the ridiculous bugs.
If the WT management actually knew what the fuck they were doing, WT would be a really good game.
Just asked a pro translator (not of Japanese, but that's not the point - it's someone who does translations for a living, knows what can/should and can't/shouldn't be done in a good TL). Strongly advised me to leave the joke untranslated ("put the phonetic line with some added emphasis in the tank names sillabes so everyone can laugh at the joke, put the literal translation afterwards, put a TL note explaining the joke", said). I think I'll do just that when I typeset it.
Gee where do i start?
the firing bug where your shoot and nothing happens
the bug where your tank touches a tree or a rock and cant move.
the bug where your suspension will break for no reason
And don't even get me started on all the retarded aspects of the game like the fact that people can turn grass and shrubs off in simulator battles or that fact that planes get air spans in simulator ground battles or the minimap spotting bullshit
It would have less action and more tactics, they would go into the field, take position, calculate shit, fly a drone, spot enemies, calculate more, shoot first, done.
I'd like that
If it was more like in irak and shit, you'd have soldiers walking, patrolling with a tank, someone spots them, they get rekt by a mine or something shitty that doesn't kill them, only incinerate them or blow their legs, hear some aluh snackbar from afar, get shot, die. I'm sorry bro.
Here's how it'd work anon
1) Put MCs in modern tanks
2) One team gets M1A1 Abrams
3) During a match the M1A1 catches fire and, because it uses jet fuel and its a generally shit tank, will not stop burning. Everyone inside dies.
4) Tankwondo is shut down for safety concerns
Implying the abrams needs something else to start a fire. It does a very good job setting itself on fire. You ever read up on your average abrams loss/destruction? To sum it up "Yeah it was on fire...we don't know why....It's been burning for 3 days now"
watching you idiots fight is finny
>They would die if they fought with modern tanks
Well guess what? they would die in WW2 tanks too
I don't care how much "carbon coating" they have or how their rounds are "non-lethal". They would all be dead.
they live on an aircraft carrier the size of fucking Manhattan, it's not supposed to be realistisc
>Battle royale between all teams episode.
>Suddenly in the climax, they all get critical hit by an unknown shell
>An new school with polish stealth tanks has been following them since the begining waiting for a moment to attack.
>Polish stealth thanks
You mean these?
not true, I played the last weekend test server and instead of pure point and click adventure like WoT, each classes in AW has their own abilities on top of the point and click adventure. Like the Striker AV that I so enjoy during the test, it is a TD class but it can use smoke screen and other tricks that only the TD can use. Also, I found that they actually got the whole "scouting" right in AW while serb missed it in WoT. "scouts" or light tanks in AW can "paint" and stalk targets for your team without having to go kamikaze like WoT. Also, unlike WoT, heavy tanks actually aren't food for arty, instead they can use abilities to give themselves a small window to save itself under long range bombardment unless you are being stalk by their lights.
Who needs view range, our explosions will illuminate the battlefield!
>Not laughing at retards trying to ram you.
Superheavy spall liner is the best upgrade you can get for a TOG II hands down.
Which raises and important question. Who's the father?
That's boring, why not just join the army?
