It makes fun of things that poor people do. She smokes pall-mall cigarettes. At the MC's house they run out of ketchup and she puts water in the bottle and shakes it up. She would obviously have that "wow she eats a lot, haha" attribute.

How about she gets into bum fights? I mean, so it once in the 13 episodes because we have to think about the budget, so it won't be central to the show. But she could fight if she needed to.

Anyway, MC is smug, conceited and condescending and once she has earned some self confidence from his etiquette lessons she is swept of her feet by a rival love interest. It's only once she leaves that MC comes to realise he is in love with her. But she returns to him at the end when she understands that her new beau was only interested in her after she gained her new found status. MC may have acted haughtily and contemptious towards her but he did the same with everyone and gave no regard of her social status from the start. The ending is left ambiguous as to what direction their relationship goes in.
