Why are old men always the best characters in manga and anime?
Netero was very fun because he didn't go all "muh human righteousness" or "muh goodness", he presented humanity as they are and explained that's the exact reason why we're on top. Humanity's infinite malice was a good way to describe it. The Chimera ants were an evil species as a whole, but he made it apparent enough that humanity is far more capable of evils
Meruem's ultimate mistake was arrogance. He spent the entire fight believing there was simply no way he could lose. His entire story was about realizing that humanity were at minimum chimera ant's equals.
What killed him is arrogance.
He lost to Netero, though Netero also lost. It's was a mutual defeat with Netero dying on the scene and Meruem succumbing to his wounds. Meruem would have died on the spot if not for the other two giving him their life force or what ever.
What? He lost to Kogumi in his game which made him think that his infinite aptitude in learning could not meet up with a humans in certain categories. He begins to rethink everything from that moment, including how he killed that one child, thinking it could've been a waste because that human could've held potential.
No I'm not saying that isn't true, but he also lost to Netero. Those are the two humans to prove him to not be the summit, one in mind and one in body, that's what the entire arc was supposed to signify.
A blind uneducated girl could outwit him and a near crippled old man could out fight him. It's supposed to bring him low.
He's old and lost his touch, but I don't think somebody like Netero could become crippled. I don't see somebody like Netero dying of natural causes, if he didn't kill himself.
Here, this is what you're looking for.
Rio is great and not just because of her design.Try to hang me faggot, by the way.
I remember how the Chaos fans in Sora no Otoshimono suddenly stopped liking her after her transformation. And then, liked her back when she came back to normal.
Anyone else here remembers that?
It would have been nice if Komugi knew what the fuck was going on after Pitou healed her injuries instead of just being swept along, and she died in ignorance of who Meruem was. She likely wouldn't give a shit but I guess Togashi wanted to avoid the 2cliche4you innocent girl falling for the beast.
Did little girls kill your dog? Why so salty?
>Morel, Shoot, and Knuckle will be back for the DC arc
>The DC arc will never be written
But that's not entirely true. There is some instinct in the things that we do that are ultimately out our control. You could even say that those who do good do it out of instinct.
Is it me or does Oku (Gantz) really likes old people?
I mean all of his senior citizens turned out to be really good characters.
Then of course there is his new manga in which the main character is a old dude going around rescuing and helping people.
Friendly reminder that Komogi hates evil and would spray Meruem with bug repellant if she could see. Anyone who ships them is severely retarded.
"I was born king of the ants and allowed to stand at the pinnacle of life. The fact that I am a King entrusted with my entire race, is what marks the boundary between victory and defeat. There is no way that humans that encourage diversity could stand against what these long years of chimera ant evolution have given me. However, there is no longer any benefit to breeding humans, knowing that humans' strong ego can cause a serious disruption in the ants' leadership. So in deference to you, I will allow humans to permanently reside in a ghetto. I will take into account their number and quality when choosing which to feat on. Your solitary fight was not in vain."
Netero then responds with, "You don't understand a thing..... Man's potential for evolution is limitless," before detonating a nuclear bomb. Countless centuries of chimera ant development defeated by human egotism, ingenuity, and the ability of the species to kill en mass through technological evolution.
Genius writing. This is hands down, the best shonen of all time.
One of the core themes of the arc is human cruelty. It was a logical way to end the arc with the reveal the real Deigo enjoying his day while his country and his people were taken over and being slaughtered.
I thought it was just to emphasize that humans can be cleverer than the ants thought, he kinda pulled one over on everyone since he should've been dead but was living an easy life elsewhere.
Cheadle has only altered her nose and got dog ears. How the fuck aren't you complaining about Saccho's appearance instead?
I'd give them all a hug. Even faggoty Pufu.
I actually hated that. We were supposed to feel like "the real monsters" when they used a highly innovative bomb, as if Netero wasn't totally justified and the ants weren't killing humans by the thousands.
we aren't all monsters, were just capable of more monstrous things as a species than the ants as a whole. Just like all the ants aren't bad, the humans weren't portrayed as all monsters either.
