The midnight stories and the Close-Up Reports are going on right now. I think Annie's is the 11th midnight story. Some of the midnight stories got summary leaks at the other place. Only Eren and Mikasa have the Close-Up Reports so far. Some of Eren's got leaked. There was some Eren/Hanji and Levi/Hanji interactions in it. I think the Close-Up Reports aren't being leaked really because they're longer than the interviews and because a character like the interviewer in the interviews basically just follows the character in the Close-Up report around all day. It works like a documentary. It sounds boring. There's nothing interesting like with the interviews.

Yeah, I like that these midnight stories are lighter in tone, but they're not as deep or as engaging as the dream and rain stories. Also, Petra's midnight story caused some controversy. There was a rumor that it was because Petra and Levi kissed in it, but what actually caused the controversy was that Petra put on nail polish and make-up in her story when Isayama had previously said in a Q&A that the female soldiers didn't wear make-up. So Petra's story was contradicting established canon or at least that's what I got out of it.

Ya, I liked that too. They're kinda refreshing after the two series of dark and sad stories even though I can't read any of them, but I remember the controversy over Petra's story isn't that. According to the leaks I've read, the controversy was over Levi noticing Petra trimming her nails (or polished? not sure which is it), and praising her for it. And then there's also Hanji who's acting too like herself in chuugakkou.

I guess the depressing stories feel more natural since that's how snk is in general, and with the lighthearted stories, they need to introduce many new elements because they're practically non-existent in the manga, so people might not like it, or at least that's what I got out of reading some of the recent stories.

He doesn't hesitate to start the attack off by attacking his classmates. He's the guy who constantly has to remind Reiner to go back to his home town and that he isn't a "soldier". He's "taciturn"; you don't really get those moments where he's putting his life on the line for other people like Reiner. He may have some misgivings, if only for the "it wasn't ALL bullshit" line, but I could see it as misdirection. Or at least he's been less effected by his time as a soldier than the other two.
