I'm only 11 episodes in, but it's amazing how much of an asshole Joe is, and he even realizes it himself when he's in that truck being transported to the island prison. No wonder Japan loves him, he's a legit deep character.

Yeah, Joe starts out pretty damn slow, but once you get into later episodes you will appreciate that they gave time to show all of that character interaction. Just go watch the live action movie to understand what I mean.
