I.G. is really the only correct answer. If not for the series they've produced, for the advancements in animation technology they've brought to the medium.
I'd also go in for Sunrise and Gainax, and while it may be controversial, Shaft as well for being the studio willing to try risky new styles (or at least it was risky before Shinbou's style became as popular as it is).

Bake was definitely my favourite monogatari. The newer ones just don't feel quite the same artwise. Im not really sure what it is, if it's the contrast between colors and lighting. Not to say that the other ones aren't good.

That's because Shinbou was only assistant direct on Bake. That's not to say he didn't influence it, or that he isn't a skilled director, but the elements that are missing from his seasons are likely a result of the primary director of Bake being absent.
That said, I like the final two arcs of Mono 2nd Season as much as Bake, but for the characters and scenarios as opposed to the art (which I agree was at its best in Bake).

Nichijou is their flagship in animation and art direction. The fact that it probably won't be topped anytime soon in those regards puts then quite high up. Especially since they haven't done a series that was offensive in terms of animation/art direction, and OST.
Everything has been of average or above average quality, whether you like the plots or not which is subjective.

they just pick whichever VAs are most popular. which is the main problem with SHAFT. they are afraid of taking chances. i mean they use one fucking director for everything. I can't even get through food girls because I am so tired of shinbo's shtick with the creepy zooms and close ups and quick cuts and psychedelic imagery put into everything no matter what the subject matter is. the guy is a one trick pony. it was great for monogatari, and he does that series better than probably anyone else could. but the fact they use shinbo for absolutely everything proves they have no guts and are afraid of failure. even behind the safety of their mountains of cash. if you've seen one SHAFT show you've seen them all.
